VALUE It's cheaper than some of the other hostels which are more "party hostels". This is a good place to chill out and enjoy some surf if that's what you're in to

The menu is sure to please everyone - it has the usual pub classics as well as some contemporary gourmet options. One the first night we had the nachos topped with slow cooked beef, black beans, guacamole and sour cream and the rolled Bangalow pork belly, on the second night we had slow cooked lamb shoulder and the full rack of pork ribs. All the meals were cooked and presented beautifully. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable - this pub really does punch above its weight!

It is probably more a typical country pub, and since it is away from the centre of Lismore, you can probably also call it a suburban pub. They did have a reasonable outdoor area out the back, but the thing is that since this is for the smokers, it probably isn't truly a beer garden. However, the pub itself wasn't all that bad, though it certainly wasn't one of the best.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the motel is in a good location just a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants at Ballina. Our newly renovated room had a comfortable bed, bright modern bathroom and a flat screen TV. There was also a well maintained pool area in the motel complex. Tracy is super friendly and the coffee at the little caravan at the front of the hotel is very good. This is a good budget friendly option for a Ballina stay!

When hotels.com called on my behalf, they denied charging me in the first place. I double and triple checked to be sure I was correct and hotels.com backed this up. Might be a decent motel but very dishonest business practices.
