This place reminds me of the yankee candle outlet in Deerfield Massachusetts. It was a great spot right off the highwayfor us to get out and stretch. They have great facilities to use...see my pictures! The candle selection was crazy and reasonable. We got lilac and apple cinamon. They had a cute cafe, wine selection as well as a candy section. Outside they had peacock's in an enclosure. They had a great pond and waterfall area. Definitely worth stopping at. read more

Hubby & I have driven by this place on I-70 at least 20 times & finally decided to check it out. Don't let the word "outlet" fool you - you won't find any cheap sale prices in this place! It's a tourist attraction & their high prices reflect that. Regardless, it was a quaint place filled with great smelling candles & country decor items. It reminded me of the gift shop in Cracker Barrel except on a larger scale. It's a bigger place than it looks from the outside & has a lot to offer including a small cafe. There is a large quantity of scented candles and oil burners, oils, potpourri, wax chips, etc. If you want a candle that will really give off a wonderful fragrance (due to the large amount of scent put into their products vs.other brands) go visit them. How can you resist when you see the HUGE candle from the highway just beckoning you to come on in! If you like candles at all, you definitely need to make this stop from the long stretch of highway all around you. The day we were there, we were joined by a huge car club that was shopping there. Tons and tons of hand-poured candles with so many different scents. They have deals if you buy so many you get one free of certain sizes. Also, a great bargain area where there are imperfect candles and nice deals to be had! Very reminiscent of Yankee Candle meets Hallmark store as they have all sorts of holiday decorations as well. When we were there, they were decorated for Halloween, but we were also able to do some Christmas shopping too! Nice stop to spend your money and have souvenirs for yourself or gifts for people who have been taking care of your house while you have been away! read more

I don't know... I mean, if you like candles that look like a mountain of diarrhea and oatmeal vomit, then this place may well suit an afternoon stop for you. The bathrooms were impeccable, and impressive to say the least. So impressive, that one may want to drag a bed in there and call it a day. We walked around to kill five whole minutes, but it's not a store I haven't seen a thousand of in the small towns and cities of Ohio. It's high priced crafty, Chinese knick knack worthy goodness to make your Mom and Grandma pretty giddy. They had a couple of other interesting things like, jams, syrups, seasonings, and a confectionery counter with really scrumptious looking chocolates. Yes, they have candles probably of all scents you could ever want, or need, but I seriously saw some dude pushing a cart with like five of the largest candles.. making his total well over $100. Warm Glow is a Indiana buisness. They have a little of everything. When you walk in you can smell the candles. They are all hand dipped in Indiana. They range in all sizes and smells. They also have home decor and seasonal items. Most of it would fit into a country or rustic theme. There is a small section for Fido and your kids. These items are all to the left of the store. To the right is the food items. They have everything from Hot Dill Pickles to fresh fudge. They have recently put in a selection of craft beer and local wines. And if you get hunrgy shopping this large store they have a BBQ restaurant inside as well. So there is a lot to look at and enjoy! read more

I love browsing stores like this. However, I was a little surprised that the inside was much more than just candles. They had a clothing section, a candy section, a wine section, etc. I was expecting thousands of candles, but there really were only a couple dozen scents. They have a buy-5-get-1-free deal throughout the shop on all like-sized candles. I went with votives, which were the least expensive types. I also picked up some local honey! Warm Glow Candle is a one and done time stop. After years of driving by and seeing their ads when going to and from Ohio, it was finally time to see what this place was all about. Like a moth to a flame, warm glow candle packs the people in. The store itself is rather large and full of tons of candles, home decor items, and it even has a jewelry counter. There is a small cafe shop if you need a snack. Like others have mentioned, the candles really don't spread out their scent like you would expect. I can only smell the scent within a few feat of the candle. If you do need to breakup a long drive to stretch your legs and get a picture of a giant candle, then it might be worth a short detour. read more

This is a fun stop right off of the highway! The outside is very quirky, featuring items like a giant candle, an antique car, and a piano painted with a sky and clouds. Inside, you'll find not only candles (including pour your own), but also decorations, signs, Christmas and other holiday decorations, a variety of edible goodies (jam, mustard, and more). There is also a nice café featuring sandwiches, salads, barbecue, ice cream, and more, where we enjoyed the brisket with chips and cookies and cream ice cream. At first I thought it was just a candle store, but they have so much more. I wanted to walk around and see what is all there. Many different scents and home decor. We love to check out the "World's Largest" things on our trip and Centerville was listed as having the World's Largest Candle. It didn't disappoint! The first time we saw it, it was super late and we just took pictures and left. I was excited to be able to shop this time around. The candles are cool. I didn't think the scent on any of them was too strong. That can go either way, I guess - either you like a strong scent or you don't. I appreciated that it wasn't overpowering while shopping. I've gotten headaches before at places like Yankee Candle where the candle scents are just so strong they overload the senses. I loved their Easter décor and found a new bunny to add to my collection. We got some candles for gifts and some candles for ourselves. My husband found a IIPA (beer) to buy. My son found vanilla ice cream. :) I had a piece of peanut butter pie and it was good! We were there during a 15% off sale so that was an added bonus. I definitely recommend this stop on your journey. There are lots of Indiana products beyond candles to shop for AND you can get a snack! read more

This place has a very cozy down home feel. But by cozy, I certainly don't mean small. This is one huge candle store with a little cafe too boot. The candles have a unique shape -- kind of like a clumpy frosted small layer cake. The main size of candle is a 1 wick candle that's a decent size. Many scents have votives and melting wax options as well and a few have large 3 wick options. Tons of scents to choose from. If you love candles it's worth the stop here if you are passing by. And even if you don't love candles, they have other decorative items, jewelry, lotions, country pantry items, a chocolate candy counter and then, of course, the cafe. We didn't try the cafe this time so I cannot comment on the food, maybe next time. But the biggest reason for the 5 stars is the staff. They were super helpful. read more

This place is an experience. It's far, far more than a candle shop, though they do have hundreds of candles in a rainbow of colors and scents. There is home decor galore, gourmet food products, craft wine and beer, candy, even a sandwich shop. It's not a quick trip kind of place. You need time to take it all in. read more

We stopped in here after seeing billboards on the highway for a little rest from driving. They actually are pet friendly and allow dogs in the store (which was nice because it was too hot to leave the dogs in the car). They have lots of candles and then a whole back section with all the seasons seasonal decorations. It was a fun store to walk around in. We did not buy any of their candles. We stopped in here on our way to visit Centerville. We had just moved to the area and thought we'd stop in. It is so cute inside and candles are wonderful. There is also a little restaurant/cafe inside that we did not try. It has more than candles in the store. It has some bath products, jewelry, candies and wine. This place is big and is a good way to break up your I-70 drive. Half scented candles, half decor. Well, they also had food, including fudge, and wine. The candles were a little pricey for me, but they have monthly promotions and specials, so I bought a few as gifts after all. Yes, the sign is right: those are the nicest restrooms along I-70. The garden building has supplies for your fairy garden! One tip to the owners: People get thirsty as they shop your store. You open at 9 a.m. There is no gas station at your exit. Sell soda or water or something, even if your cafe doesn't open for the next hour. Overcharge for it if you must. Hydrate the customer. read more

My family and I first stumbled upon Warm Glow back in 2003 when I was an 18 yr. old girl going off to college in Ohio. Ohhhh the memories! This was a stop that my family made fairly regularly; every time I was picked-up from or dropped back off at school. Fast forward 10 years. My husband and I find ourselves living in Indiana again. I knew I had to visit Warm Glow (now as an adult with my own $$$ to spend-yippee!) We visited a couple of weeks before Christmas and stocked up on candles; our hefty supply covered about 6-8 gifts for various family members. We purchased various sizes of candles, as well as some of their car air fresheners. Although I can attest to how good the room sprays are, I didn't purchase any during this trip. Not only do they carry candles and other goodies to make your house smell like a home, but they also stock gourmet dip/soup mixes, sauces, oils, jewelry and other décor (that change seasonally). There's even a café if you need to take a snack break! If I remember correctly, we spent under $150; or less than $20/per gift. The staff here is super friendly (especially the adorably cute little old lady that checked us out) and you really can't go wrong with candles, can you? I highly recommend visiting during the fall months when everything is covered in autumn décor-mums, pumpkins and much more. I also suggest stocking up on your favorite scent(s) (especially limited edition or seasonal candles) that you can't purchase year round. We live nowhere near Warm Glow now (our wallets thank us :), but I miss it terribly. I personally love the baked goods scents; apple, banana bread, blueberry pie, pumpkin, etc. but my all-time favorite is orange clove. Go during a weekday afternoon; not as busy and you can stay for hours. If you do have the time, make a day of it and check-out the local wineries after your shopping trip! read more

Obviously they have candles but like the sign says there's truly so much more to look at! I love going to places like this, it warms my heart. There are so many different things to see I can't even begin to tell you. There are a few photos here I took while shopping, but believe me they barely tip the iceberg! There are gourmet gift basket items chocolates, soup & dip mixes, wines, coffees, teas anything you can think of for that hard to buy for loved one on your list for any occasion; christmas birthday, anniversary or just a thinking of you. Jewelry... where can I start, bracelets, rings, earrings, from cut glass, turquoise, crystals and more. It is just a truly amazing selection you will find here. The prices are comparable to any shopping area I've been in before. There is stuff in here for kids of all ages from stuffed animals, books ,Marvel Comics, games, for the artistic kids; markers, paint sets, coloring books, and stuff they can design or build themselves. Last but not least, right now they have it beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. Weather you're Glamorous and glitzy or traditional and country ,you will find what you are looking for. As with any other candle shop you will walk into a strong mixture of fragrances as soon as you cross the threshold. The scents mingle and throw off a pungent aroma but as you walk deeper into the store and into the various sections, you will find the mingled smell will die down and you will smell each section separately. With that said, many strong scents overpower the softer fragrances. Though it appeared that they categorize similar fragrances near each other, I noticed softer fragrances grouped together nearby were hard to perceive. I did go off into two different sections that were free of candles and that allowed me to regroup and smell afresh. I found three fragrances to my liking and if they work out for me I would like to return to repurchase them. There were many other goods besides fragrances and there is a local artist shop attached with a separate entrance. I found nice things there and I love handmade goods. The artists weren't present but they leave business cards with their wares. I wish they'd had coffee beans to cleanse your sense of smell. read more

This place is off the highway, lots of signs to exit at 145 on I-70. This place is an absolute riot. It has candles and stuff galore. They carry candy, all kinds of stuff for candles and your home. The candles are ok I tried a few but I was not WOWED. It's a cute place but if your sensitive to scents this place is not for you. The wrapped candles seem to have a better scent and burning time than the ones not wrapped up. If your driving by and wanna check out a place that looks like a melting candle go right ahead. I have, like so many others, driven by this landmark time and time again. Finally, after years of road trips, I stopped by with my husband and peeked inside. I was expecting a hokey country shop -- which yes, it is a bit country hokey -- but honestly, the candles are top notch. I am impressed! Priced well, smell amazing burning and last so long. This store was really not my cup of tea, even though they do sell tea. The fiance wanted to stop here because she's like evry girl in the world. They feel its necessary to hoard candles, but hardly ever burn them. We literally have a closet full. I will give the candle place some credit though. Its a nice store with a huge selection. Its one of the only places I know of that you can let off a silent fart and nobody would notice because it smells that good in there. They also have a little counter in there to buy pie and ice cream. So that made the stop pleasurable. read more

The business itself is lovely, and the addition of the car museum next door is nice for husbands/boyfriends who have been dragged along on a candle excursion... but truthfully, the candles themselves are kind of crappy. They burn dirty and unevenly and while they smell good, they don't really give off much a scent when they're lit. Two stars means "Meh, I've experienced better." In this case, I mean that I've bought similarly-sized candles at Wal-Mart that have lasted longer, smelled better and cost much less. You'll almost never see me giving Wal-Mart any props, so do what you will with that information. read more

There are so many things in your store to choose from. It always smells amazing, the staff is so helpful, and everything is clean. Unfortunately my dad bought a candle from you and we lit it and the wax caught fire and almost caught our house on fire as well. It has happened a few times now. The first time he just cut the wick thinking it was the problem but yesterday it happened again. We're not sure of the problem or if it has happened to someone else but if you could figure out the problem to keep others safe, that would be nice. I used to go here every year around the holidays to get gifts for friends & family. Went a couple times before the holidays this year and it has changed, a lot. Less candles and more "stuff". Feels like a craft store and not a candle store. Their scents seems to be different also. I bought three different scents (atomizer oils-friendship bread, coconut creme & evening mocha)and they smelled dull. I threw them away. Will not be returning this year for the holidays. The store just doesn't have the same warm feel. Nor the volume of candles or quality it used to have in the past. Well this isn't typical of me to write a review about a candle shop.....my mom has be begging me to take her here.......located near the I70 exit just head south an look for the big candle to the east..... adequate parking is available once upon entering this place you will be overwhelmed with the scent of candles......it's a bit overpowering but seem to get use to it quickly...near the center is a cafe StoneHearth....although I'm saving my belly for somewhere else....they offer BBQ...pizza an sandwiches....by the looks of things I would say I would come back to try ......so if your meandering your way across Indiana give this place a try..... read more
