In Henleaze, unfortunately, that's a far cry from this postal reality. It must be something to do with the many retirement homes in the area because this post office moves at a frustrating slow snail pace. There's a passport photo machine in the corner but aside from that it could be 1932 in here. 1932 at Christmas time - because they're always selling Christmas paper! In fact, I don't think the scene inside has ever changed. Maybe it is a time warp. Maybe it's the general vibe of this exciting and community based side of town, or maybe it's the vibe created by the friendly shop staff. They try very hard to keep their collections of newspapers, gift cards and alcohol under control. There's also a wide selection of food on offer here from canned goods to sandwiches and wraps. A hidden secret about this place is the free cash point at the back, the only cash point for at least fifteen minutes each way. Open till 9pm on weekends, this has to be a winning feature.

However, due to its location, the queue is often quite long. Customer Service: As mentioned earlier, the queues are quite long. Don't be surprised if you end up waiting around 15 minutes before getting help. However, the employees I've met so far here have been very lovely people who deliver great customer service. For instance, I was trying to mail my old phone overseas to America and they were very helpful with letting me know regulations, costs, etc. Every time I've visited this post office, I've constantly gotten service with a smile.
