Warnemunde Cruise Center in Rostock has a modern glass and steel terminal building and several berths/piers. When my husband and I were on a cruise to this cruise center, our cruise ship docked at pier 8. The port also has terminals for commercial shipping (e.g., chemicals, grain, and cargo), so the area around the cruise center looked very industrial. The staff in the cruise center efficiently and politely organized the cruise passengers into groups and walked us to where we were supposed to go for excursions. In the nearby Rostock train station, my husband and I boarded a nearby train that took us to Berlin. The train ride lasted a couple of hours, but the excursions afterward were very educational and interesting. read more

Modern Port building with restrooms, glass front with a view of your ship, and a parking area, specifically for cruise ships, so you are not walking in an industrial area. The walkway into town is along the port building closest to town. Walk around the end of the trains and across the bridge. read more

This was an ideal location to join our cruise. The Cruise Center is just a few minutes walk from the Warnemünde train station. Also, on our particular cruise, most of the passengers embarked in Copenhagen, so there were absolutely no lines getting on or off the ship. Just outside the cruise center there are a few restaurants, bars and gift shops. Walk just a few minutes farther and you are in the center of Warnemünde which is a really quaint town. Most visitors will want to make a day trip to Berlin, which is several hours away, but we had a blast just relaxing and strolling around town. read more

Great location, very clean, and easy to get around. This is the cruise dock referred to as Berlin, even though it is a good 4 hour bus ride to Berlin from here. Nettled on the river just inside the great little beach resort town of Warnemude. Clean area all around the dock, and the entire city. Walk off the ship and turn left and follow the walk way to the train station. Go under the tracks and pop up in the city center. You are silly not to go ashore and wander around this town. But if you choose to stay close to the ship, there is a local market, a couple of restaurants and a bar right there. Stroll just past them for Germany's version of food trucks on the dock and just watch all the various ships and boats sail past this very busy area. read more
