I very much appreciated the importance placed on theatre, music and the arts while I attended. Some specific teachers, my art classes, swim team, and my time aiding for the school library helped me through my middle school and high school experience immensely. However, I had many terrible experiences of teachers, students, and administration bullying me (and I'm sure plenty of others in the past) for my beliefs. They are a Christian school, but many of the people here push conservative Christian "Baptist" opinions on kids rather than allowing them to explore ideas and think for themselves. I lost points on many assignment and refused to sign quite a few conduct and belief agreements because I vehemently disagreed with many things that were taught (despite identifying as a Christian). They also had a dress code, which is fine in theory, except it was very sexist towards female students especially. This school is great at preparing students for college academically, but is sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and closed minded. Overall, this school had some amazing teachers who I'm still occasionally in contact with to this day, but I really dislike a lot of what goes on at this school...
