There are better truckstops to go to. Convenient store side is fine with the exception of little to no hot food. the facility is "old" and in need of remodel. Bathrooms are inadequate for a truckstop. Large parking lot and you don't have to pay to park. read more

Went here today because my lights on the back of my truck weren't working. The driver side was fine but the passenger side wasn't working at all. I tried to tell them the problem was in the box with the lights because I just went thru this with the other side a few weeks ago. They didn't listen. So now they are chasing wires all the way up to my firewall. Fast forward about 90 min and they say I'm done. So I go get back in front of my trailer and walk inside to pay the bill. They charged $150 and it was discovered when I went back outside to finish hooking up my trailer that now only the marker lights and reverse lights are working on both sides. So here we go again them wanting to check fuses again and now they want to take apart my steering column . I said no you're not tearing my truck apart. The lights on the driver side were working when I pulled in here now none are working properly. Never again. Should be a red flag when a shop has no one in it they are working on. Went to the petro about 20 miles down the road. Update: went to the petro in Gaston and they took the time to unfuck the other shops "work" and now all my lights work correctly.the broken wires were inside the box where the lights are like I told them multiple times but got blown off. Apparently I know more about the issue than they do. The picture below is the splice they did to run a jumper wire from both sides which fyi didn't fix the problem but made it worse for the next guy. read more

We walked in the front door of this "Shell" after turning down a 66 gas station on the right, because it seemed a little off. We were greeted with the smell of curry and cat piss. But never mind that, we definitely need to address the elephant in the room. Besides the fact that the cashier was nice enough to scan my items as I held them, he even told me to have sweet dreams and have a goodnight with my girlfriend. So back to the elephant, if you happen to swing by the Gatorade section in the back left of the gas station you will be greeted by a "Asian foot massage" sign. They make sure that you know that there is a doorbell ready for action. One click could guarantee your greatest fantasy... if you want an STD. Idk how this place is actually legal to be open. If you happen to actually be from America, you probably want to skip this place. The clerk was rude to me without provocation. Anyone can have a bad day, right? I get that. 5 out of 7 fuel islands are out of order, the "truck shop" looks like it has been deserted for years, and the place wreaks of incense, B.O., and Indian food. Parking is the only service I could make use of, but even that comes at considerable risk to your equipment. I've seen mortar shells make smaller holes than the ones littering this parking lot. The "diner" was deserted and appeared to not be serving when I was here. The whole place looks like smthg out of an apocalyptic movie, like it's best days were probably when "Jaws" and "Star Wars" were new releases. I hope the rude treatment I received was an isolated incident and just me catching the clerk at a bad moment. After being here 11 hrs, I can't help but notice that almost all of their clientele are of the same culture. Being a Caucasian, I absolutely could feel the resentment and it was obvious that I was not welcome. I thought we were moving past this kind of thing in this country. read more

So good! We visit family in Warren and always had to drive to Huntington to get, like, Applebee's But we had heard good things about the Punjabi food at the plaza! So we got takeout. Everything was clearly made-to-order, as our samosas were not soggy AT ALL! They were HUGE, too, the size of your fist. Butter chicken was piping hot and garlic naan was perfectly done. My mom and I ate for $25 after a decent tip and we still have tons of food left over. Thanks, will be coming again! read more

Had to stop for the night cause drop time isn't until 9 in the morning, so we decided to try out this little place, Warren Travel Plaza in Warren, IN @ Exit 278 on I-69. Their restaurant has a Indian Buffet, but they do also have a traditional American menu, you just have to ask for the menu. I ate chicken fried steak, even though I was first brought fried shrimp...(not something this girl who grew up on shrimp trawlers would even freaking order.) The hubby ate something that appeared to be spaghetti with chicken on top, but it was supposed to be chicken parmesan. It was edible, but not memorable. The building and overall place is outdated. The Punjab guys seemed to be stand offish but were nice nevertheless. Maybe it's cuz I'm a woman and not quiet...hehe. They do have a quiet sitting area in the back with a TV but the chairs looked SOOOO uncomfortable we didn't even try it. Oh, for those that like to have a beer there is also a little bar off the restaurant. Bathrooms need odor control, hubby said men's smelled like pee bad & women's idk, old stinky hooker panties, if you could possibly imagine what that was like. read more
