6 months ago I purchased Bridgestone tires, a new rim, and tire warranty for road hazard, balancing, etc. new tires. Had an immediate problem of balance at high speeds. They used a more precise balancing machine and improved but did not eliminate A shimmy at higher speeds. After 10k miles they rotated and balanced tires, but now have shimming at lower speeds. They told me they would try to rebalance on a more precise machine at a cost and pay $125.00. They do not take reservations and operate on first come basis which means getting to their shop at 7:30 and waiting at least 3 hours. That's just not service or customer service. read more

My family has been using this place for at least 30 years. But the last handful of times we've been screwed over. I thought of giving them one more chance with a simple oil change but then they found a screw in my tire and something supposedly snapped and they had to fix it. Instead of them paying for their mistake I had to pay. Now when I drive there's a loud noise coming from my tires and something feels weird. The time before they quoted me $1k for a new computer system and when I went to Honda for a second opinion it only cost $30 to update the software. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I started to get my vehicle maintenance taken care of at Warrenton Tire and Auto about mid 2019. I was initially worried about changing my maintenance provider because I know vehicle service can get pricey and I really don't know enough about what's too high and what's legitimately a good rate. A couple times I got a second opinion from a friend. Nothing wrong with that. I just don't know the market of the business. Turns out, each time my friend gave positive feedback, and I had Warrenton Tire and Auto fix the issues. Their rates were very fair, no appt needed and to my surprise, mostly, these guys had my vehicle fixed and ready same day! I was so used to my former provider taking 2 full days and charging me higher costs! I didnt know. And here's Warrenton Tire and Auto providing same day service with reasonable rates. They're convenient also. I can walk there, drop off and get a treat at Carousel or Frost Diner while I wait. Both are right next door. When I thought nobody could take care of my 2014 Jeep Liberty like my former provider, I couldn't have been more Wrong! I am so happy I left and found Warrenton Tire and Auto. I hope to continue to build a long term trusting relationship here. read more

These guys stole 7 thousand dollars, I say stole because they didnt do the job right the first time. I dont know how anybody can trust these guys, long story short they replace the transmission and a clutch, upon completion I drove the car for about 1000 Miles and then I noticed a very terrible sound, I take it back to them and they have a mechanic drive it and doesn't think anything's wrong with it and they even said that they fixed the the sound, so as soon as I leave of course I'm going to check to see if the sound is still there yes the sound is still there and I even record a video and go right back to them and show them, I asked them to go over it make sure everything's right I said something's not right but insisted that the job was done right, I even asked them to check the mounts and the words that came out of the guy's mouth yeah we checked them. And they sent me on my way and the issue wasn't even fixed, So I go home I start looking at the car myself and within about 10 or 15 minutes I have access to the upper transmission mount and the two bolts holding the mount on came off with like zero Force, but according to the man at the front desk they checked the mounts obviously they didn't and obviously they weren't torqued when they were putting the car back together rookie mistake and the guys at the front desk claim they have Master technicians but then bolts don't get torque down. so I did go back and tell him and they did offer to put some things on for free to make up for a terrible mistake, and upon even further driving and getting a little bit more comfortable with the car over 2000 miles on the new clutch and transmission and somehow the clutch is slipping a new clutch and a new transmission, so I'm way past the break in period And the clutch is slipping . So I go back to them once again I tell them the clutch is slipping, and the guy at the front desk says that they have Master technicians and the guy that replaced the clutch in my car has done plenty of clutches in his days and insisted that the job was done right obviously it wasn't there was a transmission mount that wasn't tourqed, so that also means there could be other things where that the job wasn't done right, but the guy at the front desk insisted they have these Master technicians and it's almost like the guys the front desk believe that these mechanics do no wrong and then he ultimately said if you're still having issues with the car you're going to have to take it to Subaru I guess. What kind of f****** customer service is that ? I pay them $7,000 to do the job right the first time, but still have issues and they tell me to go to Subaru ? Master technicians tell me to go to Subaru cuz they can't fix it. LOL if i knew you couldn't do the right I would pf went there first Seriously guys if you need some major work done, better consider elsewhere, Paul seems like the only honest guy working the front, please tell me how the other guy quotes me an estimate of $325 for labor on spark plug replacement labor time, Paul quotes $196 2 hour labor time, told them i have the plugs already. But different quotes. Update 10/9/20 Upon further research what i thought was slipping is most likey clutch chatter due to the clutch not being installed properly, why am i not surprised, Need major work done go somewhere else. read more

I own an 11-year-old Nissan Cube with almost 200,000 miles on it. I dread the day it is either nonrepairable or not worth the cost because I love this silly little car so much. The staff at Warrenton Tire & Auto has worked on it several times over the past 7 years. The guys who provide front counter customer service are top notch. They are patient in explaining what is wrong and what is required to fix it no matter how many times I ask for clarification on something I don't understand. My girlfriend had her car taken here and it took 3-4 days for them to say "we could try a distributor" and wanted $300-$400. We had it towed home, after being charged a $90+ "diagnostic fee" which would have been okay had they diagnosed anything. We got the car towed home and in less than an hour we removed the distributor cap (which hadn't even been taken off prior) and the distributor was fine. Long story short we're getting an engine put in for less than they would charge for a distributor that wasnt even bad! It looks like they were trying to make money off of an inoccent young girl who was down on her luck after her car broke down, or they dont know what they're doing. Normally I dont write bad reviews but this was a waste of time and a rip off. read more

Average quality tire & repair shop with below average customer service. Prices are comparable to other shops in town. Long delays may be common. EDIT: The shop proclaims a "first come, first served" approach, which is fine. I was not able to make an appointment, but encouraged to arrive at opening. "Get there early," they told me. I actually arrived 30 minutes before opening, and stood by the front door in the cold. Five minutes before opening, a woman stepped up and asked those of us waiting in line about the possibility of a key drop, since she would leave her car for the day and pick it up later. Those of us standing in line (4 people at this point) pointed to the envelopes nearby, and she soon slid her key through the slot in the glass door, then left. Just before opening, a store rep went over and picked up her key, nodding to those of us standing outside. He then turned on the lights, unlocked the door... and soon was explaining to me that he had entered the woman's ticket first and I would have to wait until her car was serviced before they would take mine. He acknowledged that he had seen me outside before her, but it didn't matter. Common sense and courtesy was exchanged for a "we don't care and can't be bothered" attitude. I called specifically to ask if they plugged tires before I drove to the shop. I also asked how long the wait was. The guy on the phone said they did and didn't reply want to give me time estimates but did. I drive in to town only to find out they do NOT plug tires!!! I went for my VA state inspection. I had looked on the website to see if there was a way to make and appointment and there appeared to be but I opted to stop by since I was already in the area. I was told to come back in the morning when they open as the only person that can do inspections was gone for the day. I asked about making an appointment and was told no they don't make appointments for inspections. I returned the next morning just before they opened and had one other person ahead of me for an inspection. It did not take long to get it done. My car didn't pass the inspection the first time and I was told I needed tires. I got a quote on tires from them and it seemed extremely high. I ended up going elsewhere for tires for a lot less. I had 15 days to return after the first inspection. I tried to go by one afternoon and again was told the person that does inspections was gone for the day. According to they're website, inspections are supposed to be available anytime they are open. I ended up coming back on day 14 due to my work schedule and their hours. Luckily it did pass this time and only took about 15 minutes to get done. Just difficult to know when the only person that does inspections is ever there to get things done. Better communication or may set inspection hours would've helped in being sure to come during those times. read more

Worst experience ever. I would like to give them a minus score if possible. My son took his SUV in to have it safety checked and balance and rotate tires and check them before driving it across the U.S. to Texas. When he went to pick it up. It was sitting in the parking lot with a flat tire. The manager told him it was ready to go! My son asked him if he knew it had a flat tire? It was not flat when he left it there. Another tire had damage to the side wall. Unbelievable service. They did not have any idea what happened and didn't offer to make it right. read more

Highest of integrity. Great work. Always feel comfortable bringing my automobile here. Being new to the area finding businesses that provide services has not been easy so far. The people at Warrenton tire and auto have been upfront honest and welcoming from the first time I brought my vehicle in. I leave their business feeling "maybe this place isn't such a bad place to live after all." waste of time! took skid loader tire in to be repaired, dropped it off in am picked it up the next day in the morning and planed to finish a digging job, well they screwed up big time!!! mounted the tire with the tread going the wrong way!! so I had to get taken off machine and taken back to them again to fix a stupid mistake, lost a days work using the machine, the least they could of done is given me a discount for all my wasted time and gas. all they said was it was a mistake, if you cant trust them to repair a tire don't think I will ever go near them again read more

My boyfriend got his F250 serviced here(new brakes and tires). When we went to go pick it up, the service desk said an employee was "taking it for a spin to make sure the tires and brakes were ok"...the employee was gone for over 30min. When we got the truck back, it was clear whoever "took it for a spin" decided to stop and get lunch at Subway and left their trash on the driver side floor. He also noticed after we got home that his favorite Under Armour hat had been stolen off the dash board. Completely unacceptable. Will think twice about giving these thieves our money. read more

As I'm watching TV Thursday night at my sister's house, I suddenly hear a loud noise that sounds like some sort of gas line rupture. Heading to the driveway, we figure out that one of my Mom's tires on her Outlander had decided to give up and was just letting us know. The next morning I pulled the tire and noticed dry rot around the edges, no puncture. Checking the others, I saw the same thing. Since she lived in CT, I figured the salt and sand during the winters must have contributed to this tire degradation. The tires had some tread life left, but I wasn't going to chance having my Mom out on the highway with bad tires. I checked Yelp for tire stores in the Warrenton area and found a few. After some online research for tires - noise, longevity, performance - I called a few places to compare prices. Warrenton Tire and Auto were competitive, but what I really liked was the customer service on the phone. The employee answered all my questioned, explaining the pros and cons of each tire. No pressure, no rush to get me off the phone. Once we settled on the tire, he did not have them in stock, but assured us that he would order them and for us to bring in Mom's vehicle the next day. True to their word, we dropped the car off at 10:30 am, and returned at noon with four new tires installed. We went with the H rated Yokohama Avid TRZ. They suggested we get an alignment, but I declined trying to save money. After driving Mom's car, the improvement in tire noise was great, but I felt a slight pull to the left. They got us back in the next morning for an alignment and oil change (should have listened to them). Really appreciate the customer service and quick turnaround on the vehicle. As of today, I have had my 2004 Lincoln Navigator worked on 4-5 times, not for tires but for mechanical repairs. Every time I have called and/or spoken to one of the technicians or the desk staff, they have been courteous, professional & accommodating. The turn-a-round time has been quick on each repair. Several times there were a couple options for repair and each was explained to me thoroughly so that as the consumer, I could make an educated decision based on my finances. I used to take my truck to R. H. Ford but their prices were significantly higher. I am so happy to have found a repair shop that I can have confidence in. I would and have recommended Warrenton Tire & Auto to several of my friends. read more

My son had a major accident due to hydroplaning in a storm. His car did a 180 and landed against a hill in a ditch. There was significant damage. Warrenton was perfect in all ways... Took my car in for an oil change. The next day I smelled something burning under the hood and took it back. I was told I needed the head gaskets replaced. Was given an estimate of almost $3000.00. Took it to the dealership for a second opinion and they found that the oil filter had been left loose. Don't bring your car here!!! read more

If I could give this place a thumbs down I would. I have been hesitant to comment on these guys for two years but have had the urge to do so and after my most recent and familiar experience it is only right to share. I have lived in the Warrenton area for 10 plus years and 70% of the time I brought my vehicles in here for a simple inspection or realignment they come back with more than $1,000 in necessary repairs. in on case in particular it was taken back three times for the same "check engine light" and it's still on. Up until two years ago I didn't question their integrity but when I went in for an inspection of an older Hyundai they said it needed $1200 in work to pass inspection. The car isn't likely worth $1200. I took it to another shop in Warrenton and they found $800 in different problems. Now keep in mind this car runs well, no funny sounds or leaking fluids. Also, I change the breaks. I finally took it out to CarWorks off 29 and had them look it over and they came back with a quote of $180 including a new tire. I will never go here again. read more

My family and I have been going here for years - they're great! After school I moved to Arlington, but I always go back to these guys because we trust them. Earlier this year I accidentally scraped my tire pulling out of my parking garage and took a little chunk out of my tire. A place in Arlington told me it was dangerous to drive and I needed to replace all 4 tires (since I have all wheel drive). I brought it to Warrenton for them to look at and they told me it was totally fine, no need to worry (which the dealership told me as well when I went there for a bluetooth issue). Recently I had a tire leak and no one could figure out the issue. Again, the places in Arlington told me I need to replace all 4 tires and of course my quotes were really high. The second time I brought my care to Warrenton, they found the leak. They were super friendly and helpful and I only ended up needing to replace 2 tires because of the lack of wear on my current ones. I recommend these guys! read more
