Yet another Reddit recommendation that was on POINT!…read more
Let me say that making the journey from Kensington to Kadiri's was a bit of a mission for someone who isn't familiar with the lay of the land. It was rainy/wet, windy, and cold, but it was completely worth it.
Anyway, I read that Kadiri's was known for their biryani and upon taking my first bite I can vouch for them 100%.
Wife and I had dined at a previous restaurant the night prior and the biryani was good, but this was on an entirely different level. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger though because it was so damn good!
We also ordered their Chicken Chili Tiger Masala and keema naan. I know, I know - chicken tikka masala is SUPER basic but the VERY SPICY part sold me on it. It wasn't spicy, but at least it was really good. Had I known it was going to be mild I would've ordered something else, but again, it was very delicious.
The naan was charred excellently and the lamb was perfection.
Speaking of spicy, their scotch bonnet sauce was VERY good and spicy! Definitely worth getting if you're a spicy eater like me.
