The food was excellent. The service was great and the setup was pretty cool. If you haven't been to Warriors Grill, you have to go. It is a very unique way to prepare your food. The setup is a buffet style area that you select all your food and as much as you want and you hand it off to the cook and the chef prepares it for you, plates it for you and hands it to you and then you go sit down. The food quality is good and fresh. The choices of protein are pork, chicken and beef. They have all the vegetables that you can imagine and noodle for the base. Then next is the multitude of sauces that you can select. Great place. I would go back if I were to visit this area again. read more

I frequent this area for shopping and whatnot, and I came to this fabulous Mongolian BBQ because it was highly recommended (with drooling) by the gal helping me during my eye exam in the same strip mall! What a bargain for under $25!! Soup, AYCE Mongolian, generous rice portion, which I'm sure is refillable if you're not already stuffed to the gills...and that Sesame Bread OMG! I don't hunk I've ever had anything like its puffy, toasty, nutty goodness! They even put a few chocolate chip cookies on my bill tray - nice touch. Fresh veggies remain very well stocked, and the meats are all individually rolled and frozen, which I happen to love. Super friendly staff, not like at similar cuisine places where I've felt like a really unwelcome dinner guest. Party of one on a Wednesday (I think), and the place remained pretty steady the whole time I was there. I like to take my time and read while dining solo, so I was probably there for at least an hour. I saw many parties come and go, from solos to larger groups of 6-10. All seemed very happy with their experience. If you've never tried Mongolian BBQ, Warriors sets a high bar! This was my second trip to this restaurant, the first being before the Pandemic. So a lot of time has passed. Changes should have been anticipated. Not being familiar with the area I decided to drive the surface streets, which was a good choice. The storefront was pleasing & aesthetic. There was a handicap parking spot directly in front of the entrance. We stepped in to a spacious room with an ample amount of table space, including setups for larger groups of diners. We were greeted by a friendly employee who was immediately able to secure a large table for our party of nine. It was a Mother's Day Dinner with a friend's family, since my son couldn't come this year to visit. I was excited about Mongolian Barbecue since it's been a favorite of mine since we moved to Coastal Virginia in the mid 80's. We were served a choice of soups. My pick was the egg drop soup, which was served in a small cup. Sesame bread, to be shared by the table, was brought with the soup. Both were excellent. The first negatives began when I went to the grill area to choose my ingredients. The bowls used were small & didn't allow for an adequate amount of items for a serving. Having always chosen the same ingredients, I immediately looked for scallions. They were there but were large, thick & tough. I shouldn't have chosen the amount that I did. But I hoped the grill would tenderize them. It didn't. I proceeded to add shredded cabbage, bean sprouts then beef. With the vegetables there was little room for an adequate amount of beef. Proceeding to the sauces I added my usual choices. The amount of food received after grilling was small. It turned out to not be rather bland also. The sauces must have been prepared differently. The Cream Cheese Rangoon, now available on the bar, was excellent. After I finished the dish I added a few spoonfuls of steamed rice to the remaining juice since i was still hungry. I also went to the salad bar & got a bowl of orange wedges and a few more Rangoons. Tiny cookies were offered to the table as a dessert. You can see from the pictures posted with my first review that the portion size from years ago was good. Going through the line again would have been the better option since I was still hungry when I got home. I'll return again only if invited by friends. We were greeted and seated immediately. Everything was clean--including the restroom. My friend that I went with is on a strict diet and the cooks cleaned the grill for her twice without an eye roll or sigh. The food was delicious and hot. My only complaint, which it's not really a complaint per se, is no dessert. My friend said they used to give cookies but there were none. They did bring rice and this sesame bread to the table tho, which was nice. read more

This was the perfect spot to meet Family on Mother's Day for an early dinner. Everyone was very friendly and we were seated immediately and our server took our drink order. We were offered a choice of Egg Drop or Hot and Sour Soup. Steamed rice and bread was served with the soup. After the soup we made our way to the buffet counter where each of us chose the items and sauce we wanted for our main course. The food was cooked perfectly. We were seated quickly, at about 12:30, by 12:45 the place was almost at capacity. Lines took a few minutes to cook, but well worth the wait. Noodles, veggies, then pork, beef, or chicken with sauces. Cooked quickly. Really quite good I followed the written recommendation for sauce on the sauce station. It's been well over 7 years since my last visit here. I don't know why it's taken me so long to go back but I'm glad we finally did. We had a family get together for a birthday. I called to give them a heads up for a party of 9-14. The owner was super gracious and accommodating. We had a big table ready for us. He was nice enough to keep our cake refrigerated until we were ready. They gave us plates and forks and also a huge knife to cut the cake with. The food was delicious as I remembered. Eh. That is all I can say. The service was "Eh". Once the waitress asked if we wanted soup, and took our drink order...that's the first and last time we saw her. While we were getting our food cooked at the grill, she brought the soup, rice, and sesame bread--she brought a spoon and fork wrapped in one napkin (and you better make that napkin last because she is not returning with any more). Drink refill? No More bread? No My soup was cold and I asked for my Hot-n-Sour soup to actually be "hot". She said she could warm it up (and took the soup I had already tasted and warmed it up in the microwave and then returned it). And it was still tepid. You know how Mongolian works so I don't have to explain it to you. All the uncooked food looked shiny. Yes, shiny. It looked as if the noodles, for example were wet. They were shiny with oil! The carrots looked like they were being kept fresh in water--nope, they too were covered in oil! The food was "eh" too. I think I was turned off by the amount of oil on my plate. I ate only veggies and noodles (no meat), but my plate had a pooling of oil at the bottom that made it hard to eat. read more

This is one of my sibling's favorite/ go to place to eat in the 'Peake. It's an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ. Your choice of hot & sour soup or egg drop soup is included in the price, as well as complimentary sesame (air puff) bread, & white rice upon request. They give complimentary cookies for dessert. You go to the "buffet" bar & choose your veggies, noodles & meats (beef,pork, or chicken), then top it off with your choice of sauce(s) in a bowl. Once you place all the raw food items on your bowl, you place it on the counter in queue to be cooked on the round grill by the two cooks working. Wait at the counter & once it's cooked they hand your cooked food on a plate. Don't forget to tip the cooks! It's a good place for large groups & the wait for your food to cook is quick. My wife and I really enjoyed our first trip to Warrior's Mongolian Grill, even if it was during COVID. They are doing a great job working to keep everyone safe, with the staff wearing masks and gloves, and requiring customers do wear masks as well. They also require guests wear gloves at the buffet, which they provide. The food choices were many, and there was quite a number of sauces to choose from. We decided to mix and match different types for each visit we made. I chose the Egg Drop Soup as a starter, my wife hot and sour soup, and we were given some sort of sesame bread to go with it. After we had had our fill (it's all you can eat), they brought the check along with four small cookies, two chocolate chip and two macadamia nut. We'll be back. read more

There's none like fresh made to order hibachi will all the fixings you want. WG has all the staple veggies you would find at other Mongolian places but they do offer you egg drop soup or hot and sour soup to go along with your hibachi. The soup was ok, nothing "homemade" but taste very pre-made, haha. The cooks seems to be all the same, take your plate and cook away. The vegetables were fresh and included things like carrots, bok choy, Napa cabbage, jalapeño, bean sprouts and more. Meats are also the typical chicken, steak, pork, imitation crab meat. The sauces are good but not strong tasting. For instance, the ginger water didn't really have a sting ginger taste, it was very mellow. Overall, it's a healthy alternative when eating out! read more

Wife loves the place. She said if she could she would give it 6 stars. Food was amazing, and they even catered to my kids allergies. Service was terrific. They continually checked on us and made sure we had what we needed. Atmosphere kind of go hand and hand with the service. It was all good really. Pricing for my wife and I was $14 per adult (my wife ate more than $14 worth). My 1 daughter ate for $8. My two younger daughters ate for free (4 and 1 years old). I used to go here with my family pretty often many years ago. Today was my first visit back since then and nothing has changed at all- which isn't necessarily a bad thing. $10 at lunchtime for unlimited trips, soup, salad and sesame bread. They have a large variety of vegetables, meats and sauces for your noodles. I also like to throw a bunch of pineapple in at the end from the salad bar. The chefs were very quick and friendly. Our server, on the other hand, stared at my dad very strangely when we first got seated, as if she knew him and was trying to figure out how, but she didn't say anything once she approached us. Warriors is every bit as good as I remember. They have the best hot and sour soup of any restaurant I've ever tried and the sesame bread is delicious. I love this place as a semi healthy dining option, as you can skip the carbs and load a plate up with meat and veggies if you want too. Last night, they had the lamb up for grabs and I recommend it! Normally, I go for the beef or the chicken but decided to mix it up and try the lamb and I'm happy I did! It's awesome that it's all you can eat. Before we go, I usually eat light all day so that I have room for two plates. It's so good, how could you not want two? To not mess up the seasoning, just get one of all the sauces before you hand your bowl to the chef. I read at another restaurant that one of each is recommended for proper taste and they were correct. The cookies they give you with the bill are also delicious. They are these really cool super soft mini cookies that add a little bit of sweet to the end of a savory meal. If you're looking for a great place to go for lunch or dinner with fair prices, Warriors is a great option. It has a lot more depth of flavour. The food selection seemed a little basic and lacking. We walked in and were slightly underwhelmed by what we saw. They have the basics of noodles, some Veggies, meats like pork, beef, chicken, lamb. Followed by a few liquids to create a sauce, and a very basic salad bar. I maxed out at 2 plates - you can't do much in terms of variety here, so every dish starts tasting the same. Store bought cookies were presented as dessert. I've been frequenting this Mongolian grill for a number of years now, and the thing is, this place delivers a great meal for a great price. It puts the control in your hands to make it healthy or make it not, because you get to choose exactly what and how much of every vegetable, meat, and sauce you want to your dish. There is also a salad bar included in the meal price. It's also a great place for large parties. I generally come for lunch, which your trip to the grill also includes rice, a choice of hot and sour soup (psst, get this one) or egg drop soup (hey, it's ok too, but seriously, try that hot and sour soup), and chewy sesame bread. Try not to fill up on the bread though, as good as it is, because the Mongolian BBQ is even better. There's bowls in the beginning. Grab one. Put a few noodles in, but not too much. There's so much more to come. There are veggies like broccoli, cabbage, napa cabbage, bok choy, onion, green onion, bean sprouts, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, and a few others. For meats, there are slices of beef, pork, dark chicken, and light chicken. All the meats are frozen slices, and you put these on right before your sauces. The sauces can be overwhelming, because there's lots of them, and it seems like a build your own, and it certainly can be, but let me make it easy for you if you are unsure what to do - just put a spoonful of each sauce on your dish. I am definitely omitting a couple, but that means one of the sugar water, one of the lemon water, one of the garlic water, one of wine (the alcohol cooks off and it does add flavor so don't skip this one), one of Mongolian special sauce, one of oyster sauce, one of sesame oil, and one of the spicy oil (to your heat preferences). After the sauces, you hand your bowl to one of the cooks walking around the big round Mongolian grill with large cooking sticks. Your food cooks in literally a couple of minutes while you watch, and you get a fresh hot plate in return. Saihan hoollooroi! The entire food line is kept very clean. People naturally spill food and sauces as they build their bowls and any messes are almost immediately cleaned up. I have always been impressed with the attention spent on cleanliness at Warriors.
