It is only a three mile Uber or bus ride to the university and there are quite a few nearby restaurants. A major complaint is serious lack of outlets in the room, and none near the bed. If you are a runner, there are prenty of great joggin paths (You may want to run by the castle...great XC course!) This location is very convinient to visit the old castle, downtown kenilworth, or even Coventry (I'm glad we didn't stay in Coventry...people warned us about it, and my colleague wasn't too happy with the Holiday inn express there...) I didn't care for Starbucks, but oh well, it's convinient. Good wifi connection, TV was brand new flat screen. Cofee maker and free frat bread (yeehaa) Front desk was hit and miss - one guy was SUPER nice, drawing map and telling us where to go, etc. The other lady was...well, kinda lame. Compare to the "original (reads as USA)" Holiday inn, this location is probably better in many ways, good service and very updated rooms.

The main building is a beautiful Edwardian building. The reception is in this building, as are the meeting rooms, restaurant and bar. We had booked via booking.com, so I just gave my name. Staff were very friendly and efficient, even though there was a wedding going on. The receptionist was able to call us a taxi later too. The rooms are in a separate, modern building. The room we were in was quite small and basic, but clean and smart too. The bed was on the small side but very comfortable.The pillows were nice and firm and there were extras in the cupboard too! We had a lovely view of the putting green with all the rabbits hopping about. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. The walls are very thin so I could hear wedding guests coming in and people talking. The shower also took a long time to heat up and was a little feeble. The room was £95 B&B for one night. Not cheap but in keeping with the area. This probably would have been 3 stars but then I had the breakfast. It was a hot and cold buffet. I've had some terrible hot buffet breakfasts before- greasy and insipid. However, this one was great. There were a variety of juices, fruits, cereal and yoghurt. I started with yoghurt, muesli and berries plus a glass of grapefruit juice. We had tea and coffee brought to our table but they forgot milk- I grabbed some from the cereals section. There were pastries, bread, crumpets and muffins available plus a toaster. I've never seen crumpets in a buffet before. I didn't have any bread or pastries but they looked good. The hot buffet was help yourself, though staff were there to help. They only kept a small amount out at any one time which meant everything was hot and fresh. Crispy bacon, decent sausages, fried eggs, scrambled eggs (the only thing that didn't look great) fried tomato, button mushrooms, black pudding and fried bread. I enjoyed this cooked breakfast more than I've enjoyed one for ages. I was pleasantly surprised. Although the modern block for the bedrooms is a little odd, I would certainly stay again, due to the beautiful setting with the rabbits and the great breakfast. I'll also take my swimming costume next time as there is a pool.

Radcliffe was the second to be given the up date treatment. This included the updating and complete change of the entrance/reception area. The update has provided a much brighter entrance and one more suited to the times we find ourselves in. The bedrooms, well the ones I have stayed in, have had a freshen up but somehow I think the bath rooms didn't get the full make over treatment, more like a spruce up. The food is ok but if you are staying here for business then it will do the job. The staff are all very helpful and do there best to help you when you need it. There is wifi throughout the venue. The bigger meeting rooms have all the tech you would expect. There are many different size meeting rooms available and I am sure you can find one to suit your needs.
