    Tray with sushi

Walked in to get take away, order didn't take long, was nicely prepared and delicious. Manager gave us an appetizer while we waited. Sweet bistro, several tables, clean and cozy. Good, fresh fish!

Good sushi, great deals! My go-to place for sushi by campus. As I said, wasabi is my go-to for sushi in CP. It's easy to walk to. There's parking nearby (lot, garage, meter). You can even call to order and get delivery. Quality is pretty good for a sushi place in CP. Sushi is rolled well and the fish is good too. They give you pretty big pieces in simple maki rolls. Best sushi place on route 1.

The food was good quality for the price and prompt. Store manager even brought us a complimentary salad, which was delicious and very thoughtful, I was just passing through town and meeting a friend but if I were a local, I'd come back regularly.

Only order takeout (nowhere to really sit inside). Decent sushi for decent prices! Ordered delivery a few times. Favs are the volcano roll, shrimp tempura, seaweed salad and dumplings! Taro milk tea boba and papaya milk tea bobas are Decent! They never mess up my delivery order.

Maki Combo Alaska Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Salmon Tempura Roll

Ordered through DoorDash. Got the Maki Combo with the Alaskan roll (avocado & salmon), salmon tempura roll, & spicy tuna roll. Sushi was good and fresh. They forgot to give me the seaweed salad which was a bummer. The Crab Rangoons (6) was good as well. Definitely tasted freshly made. I also got the Milk Tea with Bubble in Cappuccino which thankfully wasnt too sweet. Tasted like coffee with boba which was just what I wanted. I'd definitely order from this place again!

cute place by campus--haven't tried their sushi but they have a decent selection of japanese dishes! i stopped by because i was craving some food late at night in walking distance and it didnt disappoint. i only tried their miso spicy seafood soup, pretty good and theres real chunks of fish in there. i can't tell what type though but it was yummy. also got the oyako chicken teriyaki noodles. definitely hits the spot when you are craving a good stir-fry noodle, but don't expect much more than mall food court quality stir fry. love the veggies in there and the chicken was cooked really well! i really liked the chicken pairing with it. overall, the food did the job it had to do! DRINKS: they also have a great smoothie menu and you can mix two flavors at no additional cost! it's made with fresh fruit and you can see them blending it themselves, SUPER yummy. i've gotten strawberry mango and strawberry pineapple smoothies, both super good combos. it comes with bubble/boba but to be honest, i dont think it goes super well with a smoothie. you can definitely opt for them to leave it out. my sister had a lychee milk tea with bubble and it was okay, was oddly kinda warm/room temp which they tried to mask with ice but wasn't bad overall.

I Always Crave Sushi, & I Work Across The Street From This Restaurant So This Location Is Convenient. I Normally Place Phone-In Orders. My Food Is Ready Within 10 Minutes. Staff Is Professional & Kind. I Recommend The B.B Roll Which Has A Great Flavor & You Can Customize It To Your Liking. The B.B Roll Has Crab, Cucumber,Avocado, Shrimp Tempura With Crunch On The Top. It Normally Comes Drizzled With Spicy Mayo But I Like Eel Sauce Instead. I Recommend For A Quick Sushi Fix.

The maki roll tray, with the fish bone I saw. I only had a few pieces before I found it.

I just ordered the Maki combo on Uber Eats. The miso soup was good, but the sushi seemed dry and didn't taste very good. I was fine with that since the cost for three rolls and the soup was only ~18 dollars, but then I ate a piece and discovered a fish bone in the sushi. I wouldn't recommend ordering sushi from here, but is so just be careful where you bite. Edit: Just called to inform the restaurant, they were very gracious and apologized. The person I spoke to offered a free roll next time.

This is hole in the wall sushi shack. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind hole in the wall spots but that could get dangerous when sushi is involved. I walked in and ordered the Philadelphia roll and shrimp tempura roll, my go to rolls, came up to about $12. So I'm like cool this place isn't crowded I'll be in and out, winning!!!... no, have several seats. A couple minutes later group after group of college kids come in picking up their to-go orders. 15 minutes into waiting for my food I realized the college kids were geniuses for calling ahead and I may need to look into getting more education. Finally 20-25 minutes later my number is called. I hop off the stool I was waiting on and try to slyly get the circulation to return to my left foot because I don't want to look dumb(er). Overall the rolls were good, I'd go back if I was in the neighborhood... and order ahead!!!

Not really a spicy tuna roll. More like a smokey tuna roll
    Jennifer R.

I would do 3.5 stars if I could. I've ordered here a couple of times. I will say that this is for sure one of the better sushi places in the College Park area. I've gotten a couple appetizers: the pork dumplings and the shrimp dumplings. Personally I thought the pork dumplings were great but I am pretty sure it's bes use anything fried is good. The sauce that comes with the shrimp dumpling make the shrimp dumpling good. I usually order sushi rolls. The maki combo is a good deal for lunch. The miso soup is decent. And seaweed salad is good and crisp but a little heavy on the dressing for me. Personally, I think the spicy tuna roll here isn't good. It's more of a smokey tuna roll and that isn't what I want. I usually get a side of spicy mayo ( which I think is on the thiner side) and dunk each bite. I will say the California rolls are good. But my 2 go to rolls are the green dragon roll - avocado wrapped in shrimp tempura - and the sweetheart roll which is beautiful because it uses soy paper and gives its a little something different.

Taro Milk Tea with Bubble (halfway through.. it was so good I almost forgot to take a picture for the review )
    Luis S.

SOLID bubble tea! I got the Taro milk tea, and my wife got the papaya/mango smoothie. Both are delicious and full of flavor, without overdoing it on the sugar. You can taste more fruit than ice on the smoothie, unlike other places where you feel like they add ice more than anything else. Will definitely get bubble tea from here more often.

Order on UberEats and it was subpar sushi. The pieces were small and not much filling.

Got the poke bowl with three proteins and it barely had any rice, fish, or really anything for that matter. Definitely not worth the price.

The noodles tasted like Top Ramen. The katsu was decent- it was fried really well and the curry sauce was good. Our favorite by far was the chizu corn dog. What a cool item- so different and delicious! It was a bit annoying that even though the corn dog was quite pricey you were charged extra for a sauce. We also really enjoyed the Thai tea. Overall for the price, the experience was a huge disappointment- mostly because of the ramen.

It took a few minutes for someone to come to the register but I wasn't in a rush so I waited quietly. The kitchen looked very clean and well organized. I didn't check out the restrooms but they are available for customers. I don't blame the establishment but I wrongly assumed the fried rice would be Japanese style. Some of the food on the hot bar looked like it had been sitting for quite some time under the lamp and it looked very dried out. I ordered the beef teriyaki, my husband ordered the chicken / beef / shrimp teriyaki, and our daughter had the chicken teriyaki. We ordered extra Yum Yum sauce to go with it. I didn't taste everyone else's this time because I was hyper focused on mine. The Beef Teriyaki was bland. There was no flavor until I dipped the beef in the Yum Yum Sauce. I asked for steam white rice and I received fried rice. Long review short, I didn't eat this because I'm going to have to add some seasonings from home to hype it up for it to be good. My husband on the other hand enjoyed his dish because of the shrimp. Our daughter ate a big portion of hers. She didn't say whether or not she liked it. 2.5 Stars.

We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.
