( closed Mondays ) Apparently they only want to work when it's convenient for them... No wonder so many residents travel out of town for hair cuts.. Another small business that will eventually go under due to its lack of business savvy and putting their self entitled wants before the clients and that kind of attitude if they don't want to be there directly affects the quality of the service .. you're better off going elsewhere where YOUR TIME . After some sectioning and layering and about six inches off, I still had the long hair my mid-life crisis longed for but in a MUCH more manageable and (I think) presentable format. Jodi was funny and patient with me and his trainee but not fake nice. Great spot. Like everyone else I met in Barrie during a rough time for a sick parent, I was reminded of my fond memories of the kindness of Canadians that I'm not finding as much in the Big Smoke (TO as we used to call it). Jodi should be proud of his shop and his skills...better than any place I've been to in Los Angeles where I now live. He should also be proud of Barrie.

Let me also say that I had never met her before. I was in town for one day and the stars aligned for us to meet. I needed my hair blown out and she just happened to have an opening when I needed it. When I arrived, Annie was incredibly gracious and friendly and took me back immediately. Even though I arrived 10 minutes early! The treatment itself was heavenly and it was clear that she really knows her stuff. She explained to me in great detail how to treat my type of hair (Wavy 2A) and what products I would benefit the most from using. All in all, I couldn't have been more impressed with my experience at Hairscape. Annie's experience, professionalism, and business skills are far beyond what I was expecting and I can't recommend her enough if you're looking for that person who treats you more than just another client. Sometimes you meet someone that feels so familiar even though you've never met before and this was one of those times for me. I anticipate being back in town fairly regularly and I will always make time to come in for a service. If I could give Annie and her staff more than 5 stars, I would.
