Today i did something fun... i was a haircut model for beautician student Anya at Wash & Brushup Co. It was a last minute quick decision i made on a whim and what a great experience it turned out to be. Owner trainer Joanna (?) was right there every step of the way, and Anya was super in every way. I was treated so well, head massage that came with the shampooing, and the complimentary modeling included a blow dry with high quality product and no pressure at all to buy. The shop has a great vibe, and very clean and comfortable. I would definitely consider choosing this shop for my hair needs in the future. TLDR; beautiful, expansive space in a convenient location, accommodating and friendly, love Cassidy for blowouts/updos! Two friends and I wanted to get our hair done for a wedding. The staff at the salon were very accommodating and were able to fit us all in within a week's notice. I'm from out of town and this was my first time at the salon. There was ample street parking and zero wait time between me walking in for my appointment and meeting Cassidy. Cassidy is the sweetest! I didn't do my homework and didn't come with any pictures of the idea I wanted but Cassidy was so patient with me. She took her time to try different things with my hair until I was happy. I managed to pull up some pictures while sitting in the chair and she came up with the perfect hair for my look. Excluding tip, the service for my half updo style (no shampoo) was $65. My hair aside, they have a great selection of products - Kerastase, Kevin Murphy, Sachajuan, and a few others. I'm actually still at the salon waiting for my friends to finish their hair and they have tables to hang out at with a good selection of magazines. When i visited I cut off over a foot of hair so it was kinda a big deal. Camille took such good care of me. I showed her a few pictures and told her i wanted something easy that i don't have to worry about touching up all the time but that i could still style in cool ways. She listened and really took into account my routine when giving me suggestions and we settled on an a longer A line bob with balayage to brighten it up. It's probably the most carefree cut I've ever had and so cute! I love it so much! Thanks Camille! I walked out of there feeling like i needed to start a style blog or something to honor my new cut. This review I long overdue! I've been seeing camille at W&B for about 3 years now, through countless style changes. I want to preface this review by saying I have extremely thick wavy hair. I've seen multiple stylists in the past who attempted to meet my expectations, but I've always left salons feeling dissatisfied. On the other hand, Camille has always fulfilled my wishes and proved that my hair can be styled correctly! Cutting/styling short hair, especially pixie cuts, takes a lot of skill. I'm never disappointed in the results she yields! No matter how much I change my mind about my cut she always accommodates my wishes. I first went to Olimpo on the day of my first date with my wife exactly seven years ago today. She complimented my hair in a flirty way and thus began two wonderful relationships. I've gone to Olimpo every hair cut since and he's done a terrific job with the long locks I had at the time and the shorter style I've maintained for the last six years. My hair grows back much better than it did with past stylists and I never need to remind Olimpo of what I want (since I probably can't describe it well myself). I have been going to different barbers, hairstylists and salons over the years because I like trying out new people and quite frankly I am hard to please. Most salons are too girly so I always feel awkward going to one, but this place is very trendy and unisex in design which makes a guy feel welcome and not just women, which I appreciate. The guy who cut my hair (Jeff) listens to what your expectations are and works with what hairstyle your looking for, he always gives a shampoo and excellent scalp massage before the haircut with a manly peppermint shampoo (haha). When was all said and done, I can honestly say that Jeffrey is the absolute best stylist I have ever had, think I finally found one I am sticking with. I didn't know my hair could look this good. Was in town on vacation and saw this really cool, stylish looking place and decided to walk in. The staff was immediately super friendly, and the co-owner Jeff said he could give me a haircut ($50). He asked exactly how I wanted my cut and discussed options with me then rinsed my hair out and began the cut. He did a fade entirely with scissors which was amazing to watch and the haircut turned out beyond great (I.e. The gf was happy with it). I came across this salon while walking around on my lunch break. When I saw they used Keraste (a product I had used and liked) along with the general good feel of the place I booked an appointment. I had been trying to grow out my hair so I just went in for a trim. Joanna did a great job. She managed to keep the length but gave me some much needed volume. As she dried my hair she gave me some tips on how to style it (much appreciated) and helped me find the products that suited my hair type. Joanna also let me know that if my bangs grew out before my next appointment I was to come in and she would give them a bit of a trim (pro bono). I was very happy when I left..... When trim time came again I was done growing out my shoulder length hair and wanted to chop it. So I made another appointment this time for a cut and a color. Joanna suggested I go to Jeffery for my color so of course I did and I also got my boyfriend in to see him for a beard trim/maintenance and haircut. Jeffery was so helpful and patient when picking out my colors and I was very happy with the outcome. The boy was very happy with his beard and haircut and so was I;) He will be going in again as well. Joanna gave me a great cut and I have gotten so many compliments on it as well as my new darker tones. I got my hair cut by Joanna and absolutely love it! She knew exactly what to do with my way too long hair, and gave me wonderful layers at the perfect length. She started out with a relaxing wash and head massage, which almost put me to sleep, it was so relaxing. She was easy to talk to, which I really appreciate, cause it can get awkward when you're staring at yourself and the stylist in the mirror and can't figure out what to say...but she was so laid back and natural, definitely putting me at ease from the beginning. And I love that when she dried and styled my hair in the end, she didn't use any fancy tricks or tons of product, so I knew I could get that same look fairly easily on my own. The salon was rad inside too, very non-girly, almost looks like a tasting room at first glance. Love the decor/style, and awesome music was playing the whole time. The front desk receptionist and Jeff (I think) greeted me right away and offered me something to drink, making me feel very comfortable. I definitely recommend this place to anyone, guys and girls. Horrible, better say disgusting experience. I should probably start by saying I was so excited when I booked a stylist in a nice hair salon. Sadly there was an accident on the road, and I was running a little bit late. I called the salon from my car, and they said that it's not a problem at all; I still have 2 hours to do my hair. I got to the salon 15 minutes later than my scheduled time. The stylist who ended up doing my hair (Wynne Bergman) was NOT a happy person from the beginning, and she was not a pleasant experience. I apologized to her for being a little late due to the traffic accident, but she didn't seem to care. She said that she wouldn't do a blow-dry because it's not enough time. I completely agreed with her. She gave me a strange look and left. I thought she went to mix colors for my hair, but I was wrong. She returned in 5 minutes to tell me that I am late and she doesn't have time to color my hair. I was surprised, but still, I was trying to understand what's going on. I still had 1 hour 30 minutes with them, so I asked her if she could do anything or just color my roots. She said NO, she doesn't have enough time for that as well. I was shocked, and I have tears in my eyes. I explained to her that I have a flight to Europe the next day and I really need to do my hair today. She looked straight into my eyes and said NO again and again. I broke down in tears. The host, a young man, came up to me and asked me to leave. He was so rude to me. He was yelling and screaming at me. He looked so pathetic when screaming at the lady who is at least twice older than him that I left the salon. I realized that I don't want to be around this kind of people, and I don't need them even to touch my hair. I just got to the area and was looking for a new place to do my hair and recommend it to my clients, but it was literally THE WORST EXPERIENCE in my entire life. I am the owner of two very successful businesses myself, and I know that this behavior is absolutely inappropriate in the service business. read more

Made an appointment a week out for a cut and shave. Told the lady it was for my wedding on Saturday. An hour before my appointment, I get a call saying my barber is out sick. They asked if I could see another stylist and I said yes. Got to the appointment, sat down in the chair and told the stylist how I wanted my hair cut. He said he was not a barber and couldn't cut me. Had to scrabble to find another place to get cut. Unacceptable, especially when I make it very clear to them in the beginning its for my wedding. Would not recommend them. read more

I've been cutting my own hair for years since its cheaper and easier but the clippers have already been thrown out after my second visit here. When Olimpo started doing my hair I had curls and zero colour. Time has moved on and I've got straight hair that turned blonde -- we have done everything from wild colour to extensions. He is talented with curly hair, great with colours, and a dollface to work with. In the last decade, I have quite a portfolio of styles, and Olimpo is always willing to listen, take his time, and be both visionary and pragmatic. Joanna did my hair as well as two of my bridesmaid for my wedding this month in Healdsburg. She was so easy to work with during the months leading up to our wedding and did an absolutely incredible job for the day of. She came to our hotel, was quick, professional and easy-going despite some last minute shifts in our timeline and services. My hair lasted all night (a feat with my fine slippery hair) and looked fantastic. She even taught my maid-of-honor how to put on and remove my veil. Jaz did our makeup and was just the sweetest. My mom wears very little makeup and was nervous about getting it done and she made her feel so comfortable. She even helped a couple of my bridesmaids who weren't getting makeup done with help with false eyelashes, etc. Our makeup looked great til the end of the night and Jaz was just such a sweet calm presence to have around that morning! read more

Camille gave my hair a much needed refresher! I had dyed it myself and she didn't mind using a cleansing shampoo to fade it out a little (per my request). The gentle scalp massage was heaven!
