This place use to be a good place to go but, man things have changed for the worse. It seems like they are just letting this place fall down. So many things are out of order and you can't get any new cards to use the machines and the water heaters are now not working. I've probably been inside a laundrymat three times my entire life. In town for business and trip extended so I needed to wash some clothes. Arrived around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Parking lot was pretty full. Single packs of detergent (Tide) are $1. They had several brands available. Even another vending machine where you can buy a small bottle of liquid ($7) for multiple loads, and softeners, etc.) Washers cost $3 (large single), $4 (double), $5 (triple), $6 (giant) and $9 (mammoth). Dryers are $1.50 for a single, (I had 15 items, all lightweight) used medium heat, and they came out perfect). Also commercial dryers for $3 (drying bedding). Probably a dozen TV's. But only two were on and had no sound on those. But it was pleasant not having noise. Plenty of tables for room to fold, enough places to sit. Not a ton of kids and the ones there weren't acting like fools. Lots of couples. Nobody gave me the jeebies. Attendant was on premises. Usually pushing a broom around. Seemed to be aware and looking out for shenanigans. There are a couple picnic tables outside to sit at, but no shade. If you happen to bring your dog, there's a large field to let them use, but only on a leash as there's a major road next to it. Weather was sunny and highs around 75. Temperature inside was on the warm side of comfortable. Probably not an easy thing to maintain with 60 dryers going. If my trip gets extended again I'll return. read more

more than half of the washers and dryers are down. no out of order sign on the machines. no attendant. no one answering the phone number on google. its not even midnight. on 9/6/2025. thanks to the poor documentation and my not looking at the machine payment screen before i loaded 5 washers with laundry, detergent, scent beads, and powdered color-safe bleach, i wasted nearly a full $16 bottle of gain scent beads, and half a bottle of color-safe Clorox bleach. thank god i used pods or that would have been even worse. this is terrible. read more

This place is very good for doing large , high volume washing. But a local coin laundromat is best to use for regular washing. read more

Ok folks ... why this place doesn't have better rating is amazing.... have you had to use any others around. ? After having to use City Laundry in Cumming several weeks because Wash yer Duds wasn't open until 11 which did not work for us I can tell you I was so happy to see them back at a normal time - it was spotless! And after the filthy City laundry last week with machines having soap Caked dispensers and dust coated machines I could have hugged the guy at WYD! And lord having to put 13 quarters in a machine ...what a pain - really appreciate the laundry cards we can use at WYD There's another place in Gainesville too - lady is nice but it's awful We live on a boat so have to use a laundry and the marina machines aren't much Just want to say Thank you Wash Yer Duds for a great job ! read more

I have to begin by saying I am not a fan of spending time in a Laundromat, laundry is a necessary chore. However, with that said, it has been a pleasure to find Wash Yer Duds in Gainsville. I make the 30-minute drive from Dawsonville every week to do the weekly washing until our home is ready and I can once again co0mplete this task in the comfort of home. After experimenting with multiple Laundromats in Dawsonville, Cumming, and Gainesville, I lucked up on Wash Yer Duds and have continued to return. First, the place is vast with plenty of available washers and dryers available on every visit I have made. The machines are all newer and in operating order until many other locations I have visited around where you think you found an open machine only to see an "out of order" sticky note on it or worse yet, you lose your quarters. Secondly, the place has always been clean and tidy. The machines are clean, floors, bathrooms and folding tables are always in excellent condition. All of our clothes have come out very clean, and spots (after proper pre-treatment) are entirely removed. The dryers heat well but do not burn or scorch your clothing and clothes come out free of wrinkles. I like the fact that I don't risk losing quarters in machines that do not work, I purchase a laundry card and can refill as needed. If I add $20 credit, I receive a $2 bonus credit on my card. All machines take the laundry card including the snack and drink machines. There are plenty of baskets for loading and unloading your clothes; they sell soaps and items also. From time to time you will find people inside cleaning the store, but otherwise, they are unstaffed if that is an issue. I do four loads each week and can get in and out in an hour typically with all the week's laundry done and folded. read more

So it's a laundromat... what can a Yelper say about such a place? Well quite a bit actually. You know how sometimes you go to one of these places and it's a bit on the scary side? Not here. It's the largest laundromat I've ever been to... it's clean, well-lit, staffed and filled with new equipment possessing modern technology. I came here because I had some big items that couldn't fit in my washing machine at home, so I was looking for large volume washers and this place didn't disappoint. They had what I can only describe as regular, large and jumbo washers-- perfect for my items. I used the large washer and it cost $6.50 (the jumbo price was $8.50), but it cleaned my stuff well and rather quickly (20 minutes). All the washers are the low water, HE washers that require less detergent. Dryers are good size and they run about $1.75 per cycle. Lots of places to sit and wait, and a good amount of folding tables. Don't bring your quarters (this ain't your mama's laundromat)- bring dollar bills. Then feed bills to Laundry Card machine to obtain your reusable plastic card. read more

I have been to this laundromat ever since it opened. It is always clean and has good equipment. I have never had an issue ever. During busy times people leave the place trashed but management is always cleaning and looks like they have someone on site more often to maintain tidiness. read more

This use to be a good laundromat until they stop having attendants. Now kids are running all over the place and pushing each ther in the buggies. The washers and your clothes comes out smelling like mildew. Currently they have 6 dryers that aren't working and I have to put my clothes for two and some times three 20 minutes cycles for it to get dry. I have lost money on the dryers and they don't have anyone to look into the dryer's issue or to refund you your money. Not sensible business. This is my last time. read more

The machines that give cards always have errors on the cards. Their machine stole $10 from me. I talked to the attendant on duty and she told me I had to call the number on the wall and that she couldn't help me. She's too busy hanging out with her boyfriend and feeding her baby to even help people. She is also rude. We called the number like 10 times but no one would answer to help us. We have always used this laundromat even though it's expensive. We will take our business somewhere else. read more

Well this is bull. I thought I was the only one but I asked around and the dryers are only drying about 85% of clothes. No management around nobody to help you with or fix this problem. And then they have it setup so that you have to spend another Buck 25 to dry your clothes for another 20 minutes instead of just being able to slip another or two quarters In. This is very wrong and bad for business and I will see to it that this one star gets shown everywhere until they fix the problem. read more

Great place to Wash your Duds! Clean, well lit, staffed, Tons of various sizes machines and dryers. Open 7 days a week! Lots of parking! Ample number of rolling baskets to assist you from the car to the machine, from the machine to the dryer and then to one of the many folding tables. Super friendly staff that seems to work constantly keeping the place tidy! Convenient "card" system that you just load your washing card from either your debit card or credit card or cash. Then that card is used to swipe your machine. read more

I've been using them for a year now, but also will NEVER EVER use them again. At first they were amazing, beyond amazing. I've used them every week, lately sometimes it's been every other week. My husband started noticing some of our pieces missing as well, then it became more frequent. Then several weeks ago we get our laundry back & going through it, sorting it out, etc. & had brand new articles that were "somehow" torn & ripped, not just one piece but 4...they washed towels with sheets, as well as towels with clothes, leaving us to have to use a ton of lint rollers everyday...& our last pick up from them, a day later I break out in a contact rash all over & my eyes were swollen shut! I go to smell the laundry & even being sick could tell it was washed in some sort of tide or gain, even had our neighbor come smell it to get her opinion since I had a cold at that time, she agreed. They have always know only to use All Free & Clear, even when we didn't take our own detergent(most of the time because they told me I didn't have to because they had that kind & part of them doing your laundry includes the price of the detergent.) Also after always writing on our drop off ticket "All Free & Clear only, no dryer sheets" they laughed & said we didn't have to write that on there anymore because they new us that well, yet we continued to always write it on our tickets. So this last time when I had the reaction I call up there & was told again they know us well & that they always pay extra special attention to our laundry & not sure how it happened & that they were sorry. I told them I have been using them a long time & spend a ton of money there, in which she said "yes ma'am you do" & I said therefore I feel like I am owed a refund, as that load washed in tide/gain was $110. She acted very nice & said she agreed & my husband went & picked up the refund & was told it would not happen again. So he just went & dropped off our laundry, a young girl took it in, he gets 10 minutes up the road parking at Walmart in Oakwood & the lady that usually talks to us & gave us the refund calls him & tells him that she has DECLINED to do our laundry & he needed to go back & pick it up!!! He drove all the way back, the young girl brings out our laundry & he tells her he needs to speak with the lady we usually deal with, he was denied. Then told the young girl that she is the one who called him so he needed to speak to her now, the young girl goes to the office & tells her, & she would not come out! Rude, unprofessional, & down right wrong! Needless to say I will be getting the owners name & # & calling him about this asap. But no problem, I would not take my laundry back there again anyway & didn't want to this time, but we just moved into our new house & only have a washing machine because with the weather we've been unable to pick up a dryer. But the owner needs to know about these things his employees are doing. Completely ridiculous! Then I call up there to ask for the OWNERS name & the young girl gives me the manager Carol's name, which I already know because she's the one whom has always helped us & was great in the beginning but declined our laundry 10 minutes after my husband dropped it off & had to go back & pick it up. Asking the young girl to speak with Carol who refused to even show her face! When I tell the young girl on the phone that I do not want the managers name, I want the actual owners name she rudely tells me his name & hangs up on me. I call back again & told her do not hang up on me, I need to know how I can contact the owner, Randy Harvy. She very rudely tells me "AT THIS # YOU JUST CALLED" in which I replied telling her that as long as I have been going their the owner has never been there. Again she rudely replies "Well he left here at 2pm today so call tomorrow before 2pm" I replied okay & may I have your name please(never telling her who I was on the phone as she did not ask) She replied "I do not give out my name" I replied "Well that's fine, my husband just left there for the 2nd time today & he will remember, thank you" As to she replies "You're NOT welcome TIFFANY!" & hung up on me again. So she knew who she was talking to, not surprising with the amount of business we have given them & even many referrals. Point of the story is this place is ridiculous & you can logon to facebook & read the awful reviews on there as well as on Google reviews, & many more. Customer beware! read more

The laundromat is clean and well lit. Machines are new. Staff is friendly. But dryers are a little bit iffy some clothes dry really others did not. Both machines I used were less than half full. One did fairly well the other not good at all even the small things did not dry. Maybe they need longer then the allowed 20 minutes. read more

Terrible experience. The machines are drastically over priced. They have WiFi but refuse to let me use it. You call to complain and you get voice mail. The attendant and I use the term loosely was a kid more interested in his iPhone then helping me. I am a truck driver and have laundry every week that I do. So they just kissed off $60/month. By the way the Coin Laundry in flowery branch is much cheaper and just as clean. read more

Many, many attempts at obtaining a refund on the unused funds on the laundry card. MANY phone calls to the number posted for assistance - all you get is voicemail and no return call. While the concept of the laundry facility is a good one, very poor management ruins the business. Price of machine wash and dry is EXTREMELY overpriced. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

Let "doesn't accept coins" be a warning; I'm down $5, card would not read correctly (plus why would they need my email unless I get fluff and fold on my birthday or something). Experience probably would have been better if there had been a attendant in attendance paying attention. Will try the phone number again and may get refund.
