Pros: -Excellent website (when its working right) that provides account statistics, bill payment, e-statements, etc... -Friendly staff -Local business -$20 one-time membership fee, as opposed to monthly fees for low checking balances like all the big banks Cons: -Colville location always seems to be understaffed. -They have a 9-day (!) hold period on a newly opened account, which is ridiculous in this day and age (other banks are 3 days or less). -It took them about 2 weeks to get my ATM card to me, then another week to get my randomly assigned PIN # mailed. They charge $5 to let you choose your own PIN (free with other banks) -THEY DON'T HAVE TELEPHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON WEEKENDS! Sorry, but business still occurs on those days Horizon

It was $20 to open an account which was a little different but everyone needs to make money. I got my debit card within 15 days and I don't believe I paid a fee to chose my own pin. Mine obviously has a bad chip as three different store machines I tried to use it at, said "chip malfunction". My husband's card works fine. I called the bank thinking they would just send me a new one. They want to charge me for it?! It's a small fee, but it's the principal of the thing. Why won't the bank freely replace a malfunctioning card? Why am I being charged for it? It's not my fault that the card is not working properly. It's our "policy" is what I was told. Well, I guess it's my policy to start looking for a new bank. Seriously, you're using my money and won't send me a new card for free?!

What about the majority of us who love this bank? Great little bank with very helpful tellers, free checking with .05% interest, Free ATM, free checks and locations all over the northwest. Note that Glacier Bank in Kalispell, MT and in other places is part of the same banking group. They offer CD savings accounts with a 6-month lockup that will gain some decent income. Hope more people who love this bank will take the time to review it on Yelp.

Went into the bank in Colville to do a money exchange $300 Canadian to U S. No body in the bank…read more with 2 tellers with nothing to do. They refused to do the exchange even though I have a CHASE SAPPHIRE PERFERRED VISIA CARD. Said I needed a checking or saving account. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLY. Cancelled my chase card since chase bank doesn't even recognize it's own card.
