Their hospital medical staff does not affiliate with UPMC, they are a private entity for profit group, whose company went bankrupt years ago yet still operates. Thats why the hospital and ER have horrible care, most of their staff dont live in or care about the community. For a community hospital, its also a surprisingly hostile and cold environment. Something is very wrong here. Run, dont walk, away. Choose another system, AHN or WVU Medicine.

I've been back and forth with my sons insurance carrier for a card (we have NEVER received one) The receptionist this morning was miserable, told me she couldn't find any information on him (when the time that passed was barely 2 minutes) then when I asked about paying out of pocket she said "well it's like $199" so I'm like okay, I'll do that, to which she replied, but if you want us to submit it to your insurance it's actually $240. Well at that I just left. Not that I couldn't afford it, but I felt that she just couldn't be bothered any longer. So we left and went to the ED at Washington hospital, was in and out and they found his insurance information in literally 3 minutes.
