Talk about service!! Not only did they take the time to come to my residence late at night on a week night that was convenient for me and my crazy work schedule, but the quality of work was absolutely top notch!! There were not cracks, no chips, no waste left behind and with the recent rain storm there was not a drop of water in my basement and now I can confidently finish my basement renovations with peace of mind knowing that the basement will no longer flood or leak!! On top of quality of work, the real thing that made them differentiate from the rest here was in the service. There was no pressure, no hard selling and Dave really took the time to explain to me what the process and logic was behind the system and each step. My house was also not an easy job, there were many obstacles which made it very challenging. Not to mention I totally delegated to someone else in my house hold to clear the perimeter of the basement, and that person dropped the ball, so Dave and his guys spent an extra 45 minutes doing extra work by moving things away from the walls which was totally above and beyond because that should have been done on my end. Watchman Waterproofing installed a complete new sump system, which included a backup system, shortly after we bought our house. They did an amazing job! 2.5 years later the alarm on the backup pump started sounding every few minutes. I called for help and JJ showed up just a few days later. He replaced the main sump free of cost since it was under warranty. The next day, it started making some noise, keeping us up at night. So JJ showed up late on a Saturday night, although we didn't even have an appointment set, to adjust the float for us. Unfortunately, the noise returned later that night after he had left. He returned one more time and adjust the float again as high as it could be placed. Again, the issue continued to get worse the next day. He then came back a few days later and replaced the main sump, the backup sump and the main float and that did the job. JJ and his manager, Mike, were extremely regretful for what we had to go through to find a solution, although it was out of their control. But they never gave up on us until the issue was resolved. We cannot thank them enough for a great job done! Sump pumps are always taken for granted until the day they break. These guys are true professionals! They came to the estimate and explained why I didn't need the work I thought I needed (which would have been a much bigger job) and that they could fix it with a much simpler, cheaper, but more effective method. At no additional cost they said they would add a drain I could hook my water barrel up to. We scheduled a date I was going to be away but because winter was approaching decided it would have to do. Unfortunately the workers did all the work on the opposite side of my house due to a miscommunication with their foreman. I got home and saw the mistake (it did look great though) so called the next day expecting them to deny they did anything wrong and refuse to fix it... Not the case at all! They quickly got back to me, apologized, and said they would add a second drainage system to the correct side ASAP. Less than 2-weeks later I came home to a perfectly done job (on the correct side). I can't say enough about Watchman Waterproofing and the owner Dave. I got a few estimates for a drain because of water coming into my basement and decided to go with this company based on speaking with the owner Dave (great personality) and a fair price. He was very through walking me through each step of the process and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I needed to have the work done as soon as possible as I'm in the process of moving and with all the rain we've had and the rest of the week was not looking good with more rain to follow. He told me they were extremely busy and wouldn't be able to squeeze me in for a couple of weeks. I gave that some thought but I was nervous with more rain coming and was thinking about calling the previous company who told me they could start in a few days their price matched Watchman by a hundred dollars. The next morning I get a call from Dave and he told me they had a cancellation and could start the work the immediatley. The crew showed up and were very professional from start to finish. From Josh coming out to assess the situation and figure out a plan, to Pedro and his crew making quick work of it in a clean and conscientious manner, the whole process was not stressful at all. One thing happened that made me realize what kind of a company Watchman is. Our trash man approached one of the crew and apparently wanted to know what he would charge to do a job "off the books". Your employee refused, saying it "wasn't fair to the company. That takes money from them. Why would I do that, they have been good to me, giving me a job". That right there speaks volumes. Very positive experience with this company. I called them because I came home to find a small amount water in my basement, it appeared to have seeped in through the cove joint where the wall meets the floor. The person who answered the office phone was very professional and courteous, and the individual who came out, Larry Trainer, could not have been more knowledgeable and helpful. He spent almost two hours going through different scenarios with me, but ultimately recommended that I hold off on paying for services because it didn't seem like that serious of an issue (because of a couple of different factors). I very much valued his honesty, as many other contractors would have said to just go forward with a very expensive process regardless of actual need. If the issue returns or worsens, I will not hesitate to use Watchman Waterproofing, and I would certainly recommend them to a friend. I needed a new sump pump for my basement, had several estimates, I liked Dave from Watchman right away. He did a thorough inspection of the area and the old sump pump. He answered all my questions and explained to me just what should be done. His price was good and best of all he didn't try selling me other options, I found him to be honest and up front! Can't say enough about this Company. Larry came to my home to explain what they were going to do. We went to the cellar where he checked out the problem and showed me how they would rectify it. He was very thorough in his explanation and answered all of my questions. On the day of installation, Pedro, George and the crew showed up on time and got right to work. I had a great overall experience with Watchman Waterproofing. I had some concerns about ground water coming into my basement. I called and spoke separately with both owners to determine the best course of action within my budget. They were both very responsive, helpful, and it was clear that they intended to help find the solution that was best for me. We decided to replace my old sump pump with a new pump that is much more reliable and up to date, and included a battery back up. There was a crew down there only a day or two later and the work was done very neatly and professionally. Although, admittedly, my basement floor was dry the day Larry Trainer arrived to evaluate the issues of water seepage onto the cellar floor and consequent dampness that permeated even the air upstairs, I am convinced that he walks on water. We have nothing but great things to say about this company from start to finish! Carl came by for a walk through and as first time homebuyers it can be pretty scary hiring anyone. Larry and the rest of the crew did an incredible job on my basement. The amount of water that was pooling in my crawl space was astonishing but Larry told me several options on how to manage it and everything worked great. On Thursday Apr 25th Mike and his two guys Sean and Colin showed up to waterproof my basement. As soon as they arrived, they got right to work. Great work, great customer service! Our basement flooded in March 2018 after we lost power and the sump pump failed. Plus, the basement always got damp during heavy rains. Watchman Waterproofing installed a perimeter drainage system including a proper sump pump with battery backup (previous owners had the sump pump in a plastic kitchen trash bin with holes drilled into it). Dave Kingsley, you are INCREDIBLE. I'm writing this in the middle of a nasty Nor'easter. We had a sump pump installed in August after a major flood in our finished basement. The alarm sounded so I called the 800 number and Dave picked up right away. He was here within 2 hours, found the problem with the original pump, removed it, and installed a brand new pump in a matter of minutes (despite his arms being completely submerged in water).
