Andrew was punctual, incredibly helpful, and a pleasure to work with. the value was great considering how flawless the service was. he set up while we had cocktails and before you knew it we were eating fresh (really delicious) crabs. while we did that, he set up the boil with real plates and silverware, tables, etc; we didn't even notice and we just moved on to the next part of the meal. as we finished desert, we looked up and everything was clean and put back in its place. it was a great experience and the food was fresh, local, and high quality. as a charleston native, it was great to come back and remember how much i missed the food. i highly recommend the smoking pot!

Couples are able to pick two different areas for the ceremony and reception all on the same property (this works great for all budgets.) Lowndes is located right downtown Charleston by Hampton Park so you don't have to deal with the narrow streets and high traffic. There is parking on the premises and plenty on the street. Lowndes also has connections with a ton of vendors (photographers, draping, florists, caterers, etc) that they can recommend. Highly recommend for how lovely everything is and how great and knowledgeable the staff is. Weddings here are always seamless. From the longest tees, the course plays to about 7,446 yards of golf for a par of 72, that my friends is about current U.S.OPEN length, with a lower slope rating though.course rating is 74.4 with a slope rating of 134. The Nationwide tour still hosts an event here and truthfully, if there were the room for bleachers, concessions and transportation. With a few weeks work to narrow the fairways and toughen up the greens, I believe the PGA could host an event here, it is that good.The course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. The 18-hole "Beresford Creek" course at the Daniel Island Club features 7,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . This is the older of the two courses and opened around 2000.The course rating at Beresford Creek is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 134, so it plays shorter, but no less difficult.
