In addition to the camp fire, they had a nice deck area for everyone to sit out at, and plenty of picnic areas too.

My husband needed a certain size of Darn Tough socks that he couldn't find on the rack. The woman at the counter assured him she could find them in the huge shipment she had just gotten in but not opened yet. She went out of her way to dig through her boxes until she found just the right pair he wanted. My brother-in-law bought a tub of the huckleberry ice cream and said it was the best he has ever had. It's a small store, but they seem to have every last minute item you might need or want, and everything is very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when we come through next year!

We found post cards pre stamped of Idaho that we sent out before our trip. Lots of room in the Parkin lot for parking and even a last min gas full of needed. The workers inside were very helpful and happy to see some rafters. They wished us well and hoped for good weather and we were on our way to the main salmon river.

The soft glow of the wood logs, the fireplaces, the wonderful bar make for an inviting and special place to have a drink or dinner. The menu looks great, a little higher end (and higher priced) than normal for Montana, but looks delicious (and considering the investment the owners have put in, perhaps justified). The bar and bartenders provide a great place to stop after skiing, fishing or exploring. Skiers even get a buck or two off their beverages. Enjoy a bit of old time Montana with a new, spiffed up shine. The Knob has always had a special place in the hearts of locals. Stop and experience what it's all about.

When they're hosting ball players, it seems to be a bit loud and rowdy but thankfully things calmed down at a relatively decent hour and we were able to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was pretty good, just a basic buffet style, but we liked it. We'll definitely stay again if we're passing through.

Absolutely Disgusting - Stay Away! If I could give this…read moreplace zero stars, I would. I booked two nights here, and while the first night was fine, the second night was an absolute nightmare. The blanket on the bed smelled like urine-not a faint odor, but an overwhelming stench that made it clear it hadn't been properly cleaned. When we checked the extra blanket in the cabinet, it had white body fluid stains all over it... Completely unacceptable. I contacted the owners, who assured me that "everything was cleaned" and brought us new comforters, but at that point, how could I trust that anything in this hotel was actually sanitary? We immediately booked a room elsewhere because there was no way we were staying another night. I requested a refund for the second night, which was more than fair given the disgusting conditions, but the owner refused. He claimed that because they offered a new blanket, that was a "sufficient resolution" --as if I should feel lucky to be given a clean blanket in the first place! Even worse, the implication was that we had somehow made the blanket smell like urine, which is both insulting and absurd. This was hands down the most unprofessional and unhygienic hotel experience I've ever had. If you care at all about cleanliness, customer service, or basic human decency, do not stay here.
