But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. In any case, ~20 years ago my son and I terraced the slope & garden on the East side of my house and installed timber retaining walls. Despite the fact that I used treated lumber the once pristine barriers had begun to deteriorate. I also had started but never finished several other projects. The patio and backyard were getting shabby and overgrown. It was time for a change. Anyone who may have read some of my previous reviews knows about my somewhat recent physical challenges. I'm not exactly a Spring chicken either. A professional job was in order. In addition to choosing Inspired I selected bluestone rock to replace the rotting timbers. The resulting walls and edging look great and the old beams were hauled away. Finished work included river rock and mulch. Gustavo partners with his father and brother to schlep, prepare, install and clean up. Gus was personable and I found him easy to work with. Everything was completed on time and according to neighbors looks: "amazing." Bluestone is not inexpensive. At first I was hesitant to spend so much, especially since I had done much work myself. But I think that in the long run the landscaping/hardscaping will more than pay for itself in providing years of entertaining and peaceful contemplation. Not to mention that it will likely raise the value of my home. If I have any major landscaping additions, I won't hesitate to contact Gus and his crew. Together they are effective, efficient, courteous and meticulous.

She also educated us on how we could easily add a rain garden to another area of our yard. She even accompanied me to the garden center to help shop for the right planters to frame up our front door. She can do as little or as much as you'd like for your landscaping projects -- from providing a plan to serving as the project manager, buyer and/or planter to implementing the entire plan from start to finish. Asked for a $150 more on top of the $650 I was quoted, which was fine because it was a big job and $650 was already by far the best deal I'd found. Paid via Zelle. - Cut up logs and stumps with a chainsaw and used a tarp and wheelbarrow to move all the stuff across half an acre. - Polite, expedient, considerate. I fed him lunch and coffee and water. I wouldn't hesitate to have these dudes back.

I hired Limpio last August to remove a huge area of burdock. John was the customer-facing lead then…read morebut perhaps no longer. I have reached out to him because areas that they worked on with weed mats and mulch are showing many weeds this year. John assured me verbally and in writing he'd stand behind their work but now appears unreachable. Here's my honest and updated review. Last year I'd written them a glowing 5-star review because i appreciated their work, they're nice guys and I wanted to support a new small business. Today I'd rate them only 2 or 3 stars (out of five). Here's why: 1. Their quality of work is just fine/ok. However they are VERY GOOD at addressing nasty thorny weeds in particular. 2. They all seemed friendly but language was a barrier. John (30-ish white guy) was their front man. He's friendly and portrays a nice can-do, "whatever you need" attitude. But most appeared not great with English. 3. Because they did a great job on the Burdock removal i added a few more jobs. One was weeding and putting down weed barrier and mulch to a few gardens. Apparently confused or given bad direction, they ripped out mature perennials from half a large established garden. I was appalled. John kindly offered to reimburse me for new plants and to plant them. Fine, but of the 15 new plants they planted last fall, none survived the winter. And it will take years to erase the damage. 4. Now that it's Spring, there are many places in the gardens they worked on that are now very weedy. That tells me either they didn't thoroughly weed and/or didn't properly install the weed barrier fabric. I have reached out to Limpio twice to ask that they stand behind their work and address the issues. There's been no response. 5. We agreed to and documented in writing the depth of mulch coverage we'd get. We paid them for that amount of mulch but they put down only a thin layer, less than what we'd agreed to. Last year i pointed this out and they said they'd address it. I'm not sure they actually did and I'm very disappointed by this. It looks CRAPPY this year. NOTE : This work was done last year so maybe they hadn't hit their stride yet. But having no response from the company after noting quality issues ( and after being told they'd fix issues this spring) is very disappointing. It feels very bullshitty and dishonest to me.
