However the point you seem to be missing is that all customers are not necessarily all DESIRABLE TO A PARTICULAR BUSINESS!" Charming, especially as the guy has never met me! to continue: "It is quite often the case that certain suppliers just don't get on with certain customers" ( again a total mystery as we had NEVER MET). As in everyday life when acquaintances and friendships are forged (or aren't). We are friendly but we try to be AS EFFICIENT AS WE CAN. But we are not so mercenary that we profess to bond with all our customers and we quite often get calls for jobs we WE DON'T PARTICULARLY WANT TO DO or are unable to do or, AS TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS, may feel a job is "too small". Being a company that offers free quotations and quire often a free callout service, we have to SOMETIMES PICK OUR CUSTOMERS. I understand that your were advised over the phone and a mutually convenient appointment could not be arranged. THIS IS A TOTAL LIE. An appointment WAS arranged at a convenient time for both parties. to continue: "we do however value all our customers and WELCOME COMMECTS AND SUGGESTIONS. So thank you for your input. I am sorry that we did not hit it off on this occasion and not build a business relationship". That e-mail is word for word. I responded saying that no one ever bothered to even turn up how did they ascertain that I was "undesirable" or that my job was "too small". and if either of those points were the issue would it not at least be a matter of courtesy to at the very least inform the customer. I then added that I found the comments most unprofessional and offensive and felt that the magazine who accepted their advert would also find their reply and customer service very interesting. This resulted in them rteplying calling me a DERANGED WOMAN. ASTOUNDING! Please please be wary of this company, when you dare to complain they resort to insults. I am extremely glad that I did not need to use them for any actual work in the end, as heaven help you if you need to complain about this. The insults thrown at me were just because I dared to complain that they do not arrive at arrenged appointments. And you do need to make quite sureat the outset when calling to arrange an appointment that your job is considered "big enough" for them and that they consider you to be "desirable". In other words that they can make as much money out of you as possible. Actually I can undertstand that to a point, all businesses need to make money; but surely the easiest way to keep everyone happy is to keep them informed of your business practice and ethos. BE VERY AWARE!

They were quick to respond to our initial boiler problem and when it became apparent that we needed to have a new boiler fitted they were able to move very quickly - we only had 2 nights without heating or hot water which I thought was a very good turnaround time. I didn't feel that the cost was unreasonable either despite our desperate circumstances (ie not heating or hot water). We will use them again for on-going boiler servicing and maintenance.

Then upon my insistence the engineer told me he had run out of paper. After more time had gone by the engineer undid everything once more and then eventually produced the paper I had asked for. All this cost me 70 pounds and my precious time. Almost right away after the service the dial showing the water content was erratic and looked dangerous to me because during a couple of hours it went from 'too full beyond 3' to almost empty ( on 0 ) on a daily basis. I called the company several times and was told it was not an emergency and to ring back once the boiler ( 3 years old Worcester Junior 28 ) had stopped. It turned out that I had to pay 40 pounds for an opinion from another engineer ( who was not from Gas World ) about what was actually wrong and another 280 pounds to put in a new expansion vessel which was punctured. That work was done by an accredited engineer from Worcester.- To be told to call back once the boiler had stopped seemed to me the height of indifference. Never again will I call on this company for anything.
