The site itself has two car parks (side by side) allowing for parking for approximately 150 cars, with some on-road parking available too. There are onsite loos with disabled a baby changing facilities, and there is also a small shop which is open on a part-time basis and sells essentials, such as the bucket and spade! The play area is good, albeit on the small side, but if the weather is fine, we usually take along our own equipment for wide games eg balls, bats, frisbees etc., as there are some good, open green areas suitable for getting the family involved in some fun, active games.

You even get some tokens for playing a few of the games afterwards in the games area but be warned, there are not many machines that take the tokens (we usually use the air hockey and the TT Race machine) and nothing in the kidddie games area. You can sit and watch as you eat in the cafe area or take your food/drink to your bowling table. They are not strict about changing into bowling shoes and don't usually offer a pair, so wear soemthing sensible on your feet. Remember that even little one's can bowl with the aid of bumpers and/or a bowling frame (you put the bowl at the top and either pull a lever or push it down).

Cost for a combined activities (ie soft play/Turbo Tours 4D film/ Treasure Fortress) family ticket could have been a little better than it was, and it would have been good to have been warned before hand that some activities in the Fortress were not working properly as it spoiled or enjoyment a bit when we discovered this for ourselves).One major gripe was, if a bit lacking in seating and also supervision from staff (yes, I know parents/carers are responsible for their own kids, but I still think there should also be an adequate staff presence and that they should rotate around areas regularly so as not to become bored/complacent in their duties). Oh and just remembered another gripe. Children had to leave the area the soft play was in and go across the main entrance/foyer area of the centre to access the toilets - not ideal. Also, after paying at the main reception, there wasn't actually any control system at the combined entrance/exit to the play area and anyone, children or adults, could come or go as they please - very, very, risky! That said, with a bit more attention to these safety/security issues, this could be an excellent place. Food available on site, some gift shops, and other activities all add to its plus points. Well worth taking the climb up the tower for lovely views from the top too.

It was our baby's first proper beach experience and he loved it , plenty of parking and and ice cream van in the car park. The beach seems to stretch into the distance and the sand is soft and golden. Has to be the best beach here.
