So this morning I had an 8:30 appointment at Watertown Ford Chrysler for an oil change and service I dropped my car there at that time and got picked up by a friend to have breakfast. Upon returning to the dealership at 11:00 I was informed my car hadn't been serviced or had the oil changed. I was informed by the person I spoke to in the service department that I didn't really have a scheduled appointment but rather a check in appointment. However here is the message I received from them. "Thank you for booking a service appointment for your 2013 Dodge Charger (5.7L) on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 08:30 AM at Watertown Ford Chrysler." Hmm looks likes a scheduled appointment to me ‍ The service manager explained it's like going to the doctor. Even though you make an appointment it depends on what happens in the appointments prior to yours. What the heck. I asked then why the oil hadn't been changed. He did agree that should have been done. I told him to pull my car from service and just do the oil change At that time I was informed it would be at least another two hours for the oil change so I asked him to pull my car and I was done with them and would not be returning. He indicated he would pass my concerns along. I tried reaching the general manager with my only option being a message on an unidentified line. Unbelievable poor customer service. I would avoid this place at all costs. I have always had extremely long waits when I have come to get my oil changed, easily 1 or more hours. But recently, I have had more severe issues. Earlier this year, I had problems with my 2020 Jeep not starting. Luckily, I was able to get a ride to work that morning. So the following day, I took it in and was told that I needed to have my main battery replaced as a regular maintenance issue, but my auxiliary battery was "still good".I was also informed that my coolant lines need replacement. Not thrilled to hear this, but I was fine with it. What I WASN'T fine with, however, was that exactly 1 week after the diagnosis and repair, my vehicle wouldn't start again. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a ride to work and was forced into using a sick day. So once again, I took it in, and it was explained to me that the auxiliary battery that was "still good" 1 week ago was now bad and needed replacement. Well over an hour's wait and nearly $400 later, I was on my way and was good for a few months. My next and by far biggest issue happened when my check engine light on my 2020 jeep came on. I immediately drove directly to the dealership, where the technician wasn't able to get any conclusive results and had me book an appointment for 1 week later. Thankfully, I was able to go a week without any issues. Little did I know how much of a headache the next 1.5 months were going to be. The day of my appointment arrived, and I had my vehicle picked up while I was at work. After work was over, I called the courtesy ride, and they took me to the dealership. For the next 3.5 hours, I anxiously awaited results. It was almost closing time before the advisor told me that the transmission on my 2020 Jeep with less than 40k miles may need replacement. She couldn't say for sure and was going to have their transmission expert have a final inspection. I was then told there were no loaners available, but they could give me a ride home, otherwise, I was on my own. Fortunately, I was able to arrange a ride home on my own with a few stops beforehand. It was 3 days later when I finally got confirmation that my transmission indeed needed replacement, and a warranty inspector would need to look at it. I was also told there were still no loaners available. Meanwhile, I had to depend on someone else bending their schedule in order to give me a ride to work. Another week goes by, and I have no updates. So the person giving me a ride and I go in and request an update and a loaner. Understandably, they were getting annoyed with having to alter their schedule to provide what this place should've had lined up to begin with. It was only after vigorous demands that I was able to get a loaner that day. Meanwhile, this service advisor was quite frankly rude and treated our complaints like they were invalid and she had no time for us. 2 more weeks go by before I am informed that the transmission is covered by warranty and has been ordered. The expected arrival time and repair of the transmission is 3-4 weeks. 4 weeks go by, and I FINALLY have my vehicle back. I assumed that this would be the end of my issues for a while, was I ever wrong. About 1 week later, I get a call from my advisor informing me that the warranty was not going to be covering my transmission. The reason cited was my vehicle being totaled by hail damage and nothing else. Now I do understand this isn't 100% of their issue, but in my opinion, this is a failure of customer education and the warranty system. In order to resolve this issue, my advisor informed me that they were going to have my extended warranty coverage send an email to cancel my remaining coverage. I would then have to e-sign the document that the warranty company sends me, and the refund would be directed towards the cost of the transmission. Absolutely devastated by this news, I began checking my email frequently throughout the next week. I received nothing besides another call from my advisor. She explains to me that her boss has been on her ass about getting this paid off and that it needs to be done as soon as possible. Puzzled about why I haven't received an email yet, she tells me that they just went ahead and canceled my warranty for me a few days ago. Anxious to just be done with this, I pay my bill of almost 3k. several-thousand-dollar Maybe I'm insane but I don't think most people appreciate a several-thousand-dollar bill dropped on them out of the blue, especially when you are told that you wouldn't be receiving one. It is for these reasons I urge anyone considering going to this place to save themselves the headache and stress by going somewhere else. read more

This review is only about 1 person at the parts center in my less than 5 minute interaction. I was driving from Fargo to Austin and when I stopped to get gas my car was not connecting to my key fob. After awhile I was able to get it started and luckily drove past this place going back on the highway. I stopped in and asked if it was just a new fob battery I needed or if it was something else. They took my keys to the back and 2 minutes later said it was just a battery and they already replaced it. When I tried to pay they said it was not needed. If there is one person in this place that has any integrity at all, it is Troy from sales (and maybe the sweet lady who bakes cookies and rolls). I'm not sure how some of the others sleep at night? Here's my disturbing story. I hope your ready, because it is truly, what nightmares are made from. Let me take you back to March 2023. My daughters 2014 Ford Escape named Oscar, with less than 100,000 miles on it would start to shake and stutter as she drove down the road. The check engine light would come on and we would get the message "engine fault". We took it to Ford and they decided we needed a new battery. Ok, we paid them to install one. A short time later. The same thing happened. This time they said we need a new throttle body and intake hose. They also told us the brakes need replaced. Ok,can't have my precious daughter driving in an unsafe car, we authorized the work. After they ordered the part, they got the car in for the work. The work was completed on April 19th. My husband paid the $1600 bill and my daughter drove 30 min home from Watertown at 5pm. On April 20th my daughter drove back to Watertown for work and was driving home later that same day when she didn't even make it off the interstate and her engine light was on and the car was acting the same way it was before the $1600 repair.. First thing on the 21st, we called Ford and told them and asked if this was related to the work they just did?They said it could be. Had the car towed back to Ford. A few hours later, we actually purchased a $36,000 vehicle for my husband from there. (They are your best friend when you have your checkbook out). On the 25th, we find out the engine blew on my daughters car. Now, I'm no mechanic or genius, but we took the car there to have engine work done and 24 hrs later the engine blew up. The 4th cylinder misfire was the code. Since they didn't work on that part of the motor, they take no responsibility. Whether the work was done correctly or not, isn't the issue. We knew there was something wrong with the engine because the car's engine light told us and we took it to the "professionals", we did what we were supposed to do, so they could fix it. Obviously, they didn't fix it or mis diagnosed it, or overlooked other issues. It's like me going to the doctor because I have shooting pain down my arm, them treating me for Carpal Tunnel, running no other tests, sending me home and 24 hours later I'm dead from a massive heartattack. Whether they did shoddy work, is irrelevant. The issue is my daughter's car was sick, they charged me $1600 to fix whatever was wrong with the engine and brakes and they said the car was ready to go and now Oscar is dead less than 100 miles later. It will cost us another $10,000 to fix a car we paid $12,000 for 3 years ago. Just so you know, the car engine blew at 82 miles per hour in a 80 mph speedzone . Andy made sure to point that out. Purchased a vehicle from them over a year ago. Was promised to come back in a year and they would refinance it and get a lower interest rate. They are the most helpful, do anything for you, bunch of people when you are buying. Now a year later, you can not get a call back, I have even talked to them, the salesman and the finance officer and get no reply! They act like they do not know me or want anything to do with me!!! Why do I keep returning to this place. Would give negative rating if I could. Thursday morning with the oil change I specifically asked to have them look at the rear passenger brake, as it was sounding as if something was grinding. I asked them to look at that so I could make an appointment with the shop if necessary At the end of the change I was told that everything was fine, probably some plastic rubbing on the brake. Today same tire seized on me. No turn what-so-ever. Thankfully it was while I was in reverse and not at highway speed. I would be dead. Of course today is Sunday... no one there. Brought in our jeep as having problems starting. Was in and out after 2.5 hours. Needed a new battery. Battery was under warranty. Said we owed nothing as battery was under warranty! Received a call 2 weeks later saying they needed a copy of the receipt. I advised we don't have a copy of the receipt it had been a year or so ago that the battery was purchased. That was end of conversation. Well received another call asking about the receipt, said didn't have it. They said ok we will figure it out. Then a week later received a call from accounts payable saying we had a past due payment. Needless to say I was shocked. I told them what happened. Accounts payable crabby lady said since we could not provide the receipt we owed the money. Told her good luck. I called and left a message for the gentleman I had talked to a couple times earlier (tom) and asked him to call me. NO RETURN CALL. 10 days later we get a bill in the mail for almost 300.00 for a battery. And to top if off they charged us 6 hours of labor! We weren't even there for hours! We called and asked to talk to the GM. He was not willing to work with us at all! He was rude and very unprofessional. Do not recommend buying a car or getting car repaired here! read more
