Wavertree Cafe and takeaway is average and nothing more unfortunately. It is the kind of place that you stop off at for a bite to eat when you are too busy to visit other establishments.
The staff are friendly enough and are pretty down to earth which is exactly what you would expect from an establishment that serves workmen and people who are doing manual labour jobs. The atmosphere here is friendly enough even if the decor is not great meaning that you are more likely to plump for the takeaway option rather than eat in here.
The food itself is okay I guess but on occasions the sausages have been burnt to a crisp and the eggs could have been bounced off the not so clean walls.
On the whole though this is a greasy spoon and it serves its purpose for the locals, so in that respect this is good enough for a quick bite. read more
