    Rude sales woman chat
    Brandon K.

1 Star - Extremely Disappointed with attitude of saleswoman I recently contacted Wayne Akers Ford about purchasing a 2024 BMW 4 Series 430i Convertible RWD listed at around $44,984. I had cash in hand and made a very reasonable offer--asking if they could wrap all taxes, fees, and registration into a clean $45,000 out-the-door price. To my surprise, I received an incredibly rude and dismissive response from Nicolette Derrevere, who not only refused to negotiate but also responded with a sarcastic tone, asking, "Why would I want to pay your sales tax..." instead of professionally countering or explaining her position. It was uncalled for and completely unprofessional, especially considering I was ready to buy on the spot. Her attitude alone was enough to change my mind about doing business with this dealership. I'm appalled by the way she spoke to a serious buyer and believe her manager should be made aware of how she's treating potential customers. With so many dealerships out there, treating people with basic respect and courtesy should be the bare minimum.

12-27-2024 Go somewhere else... * Firstly, ignored. Pulled into the service bay, 3 people sitting in their little cubbies looking at us and do nothing. 2 guys on nearby picnic tables doing nothing, who continued to... do nothing. It wasn't until a service tech coming on from helping someone else looked over at us and asked if we'd been helped that we started our painful journey here. * The guy they sent out to see us was apparently unable to help as he listened to us explain we just need a tire patched or plugged, and then he walked us inside to find someone else to explain what we just explained to him all over again. * The amount of time that you're quoted for service is dependent upon many factors, once of them being whether you are waiting or not but even that time is completely arbitrary... When he quoted us 1:45 for a simple tire patch we said we'd go eat and come right back so our service advisor Khristian said he would write "waiting" on the ticket. Sounds easy enough, right? Yeah, no... This quoted time apparently didn't matter, as when we came back 2 hours later our car was still sitting untouched in the parking lot, and we were advised that once we left we were no longer "waiting" so it got moved to the drop off ticket pile. * When we reminded him of what he himself had told us, an indignant "but you left" was his only response. What ensued next was a Monty Pythonesque discussion. You said you were marking "wait", yes but you left, yes, we said we were coming right back so you wrote wait, right but then you left, but you wrote wait, but you left. Repeat a couple times for comedic effect. At this point they said "Oh you're next.", and 10 minutes later our car was brought in back, then came out 21 minutes after that. There are plenty of Ford dealerships in South Florida, avoid this one.

We had a great experience at this dealership. In and out literally in 2 hours and got the car the SAME DAY! We had the pleasure of working with Yovan in Sales and Gabriel in Financing. They made everything very quick and easy. Highly recommend!

13,000 miles in, Wayne Akers said they fixed it, but they did not and would not take responsibility.

Service manager has ZERO accountability for not fixing a car he was paid money to fix. Blamed several items on not asking for the correct item to be fixed. For instance, told the technician that the car shimmy's over 70 AND pulls to the right. Technician wrote down pulls to the left. Not sure why, but that's all he wrote. They did an alignment, but car continued to shimmy and pull after the service and he said, you didn't ask for a wheel balance. Went and all tires were 37psi. When we got the car back, one was 43psi, one was 33psi and one was 37psi and the fourth 38psi, inexplicably. Also had a tire pressure sensor fault sign come on. Told them that. Within two hours of the service, not only the fault sign was back on, but two sensors were not registering any pressure any longer on the car. But it's our fault we didn't ask for the warranted sensors to be replaced. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back there and if there is anything I can say or do to make you not go back there, please comment and I will give you my honest opinion. I should preface this that we went to them because I was about to take a 17 hr trip and I wanted to make sure the car was safe. They said it was, when in fact, I wasn't even to Daytona Beach and the sensors were out, making the rest of the trip very nerve wracking. And we went back to them and they said "too bad, your fault!!!" Don't ever go there! You've been warned. Should have seen it got a 2.2 yelp review in the first place. Don't give them your money. Your car will not be fixed.

The minor damages quoted for 7 day repair turned into a whole month.

Great customer service from Joe in the service department. Nails in tires are no match for this team.

I was able to take my time, no hassles no pressure, just an enjoyable time. When I did find my truck, a 1965 Ford F-100, which is an amazing find,, He walked me through the process, I got my insurance, got financing and in a few short days drove it home. I would recommend that if you are in the market for a classic check this place out. I was told they are moving their inventory to Orlando, which is a shame, but the deals are there to be made. I also have to add that Barbara Miller the office paperwork expert there is just as amazing, so nice, so helpful and pleasant. I really felt I got a great deal and that Alex and Barbara really cared about me and went over and beyond to make me comfortable about the truck. All the best to you Alex and Barbara. I bought an Opel from this dealership at their Tampa location and was told everything was in working order and was drivable. It was NOT in working order and the driving video shared was apparently from many months prior. First of all, they got the year wrong on the paperwork, which meant all of the paperwork had to be redone. I told them I would sign the new paperwork when I arrived in a week and a half time. After badgering me everyday for days to sign the updated paperwork remotely (should have been a big red flag, but I thought I could trust these guys), I signed the updated paperwork. They were clearly badgering me to sign the updated paperwork because the car was far from drivable. There was a MAJOR leak coming from the fuel tank (gushing ounces of fuel a second) AND a carburetor fuel leak, constantly dripping fuel inches from the exhaust header. Far from drivable. On top of this, they had to cold start the engine with starting fluid directly to the carburetor (likely also related to the carburetor leak issue, but sorting through that at the moment). Now when buying a classic car, I expect to have to do some work. I'm not complaining about the following, but would have appreciated being aware of these before buying - the headlights didn't work; one brake light was out; the aftermarket alarm for the car didn't work; there were some exterior and interior blemishes that conveniently weren't captured in various picture angles (I actually think some photos were doctored looking back at the picture, but obviously hard to prove)... These alone are annoying, but all of them are expected in buying a 50+ year-old classic car. What is NOT expected is to show up to a dealership expecting to drive a car away for them to have to start a car with starting fluid and when they add fuel, have that fuel pouring out of the bottom of the gas tank. Even if those were fixed, fuel dripping onto the exhaust headers is a recipe for highway disaster. I talked with the corporate team who felt this was an appropriate way to deal with customers. No redressability or accountability!

He called me back at 12:58 and said it was done. No one looked at this car, I guarantee that, and they owe me $224 and a days pay.

My end was suppose to be $968.00. Which I agreed to. Car was at the dealer for 12 days before Car shield sent someone to look at the car to approve work. This was not Akers Ford fault. However, after the inspector gave go ahead Akers calls me an says I need new motor mounts and spark plugs. In October in NY before I came to Florida I had car tuned up and new motor mounts put in. I asked my Ford advisor to recheck and he came back with oh yes they look new. They tried to rip me off. That wasn't the best. When I went to pick up the car, all of a sudden now the bill is $1200.00. Why? no explanations. They would not even give an invoice listing all the work that was done. After calling Car Shield and standing my ground they charged me the original amount $968.00. And they still refused to give me a bill listing the work that was done. They just say throw a few hundred dollars more and they'll never notice it. So the motto of the story is DO USE WAYNE AKERS FOR YOUR REPAIRS UNLESS YOUR READY TO GET RIPPED OFF. They are the epitome of what they call "car salesmen". Watch out for your wallet.
