Only to have to return it less…read morethan 24 hrs later because the chain or something was internally bound and would not let the chain turn. I was meet with extreme resistance from the owner. I could not get the saw to turn the chain. I did not do anything to it. Just wanted to return it. I became very upset after 20 minutes of him insulting my integrity telling me I had cut with the saw, its been taken apart, and with a just down right d-bag personality forcing me to stand my ground and defend myself from this disrespectful insulting attack. I was not willing to "fix" a brand new saw. I'm well within my right to return and meet all their policies listed. Tool doesn't work. Tool returned unused. Simple. I requested them to process the return on a new, completely unused tool. Only after the guy that processed my purchase had to come complete the transaction as the owner threw a tantrum throwing papers and walking off refusing to complete the return. Terrible customer service. You will not be respected here. These people have their "always right" attitude. I did not use the saw. It would not cut. No shavings. No marks. A tiny amount of grease is present from the lube system on sprockets in the head. Impressive looking saw, and I was sure it would keep my 84-year-old father off a ladder trying to limb up his trees. They checked it out for me before I left. Unfortunately, later that evening, when I tried to use the tool, it would not turn the chain. All I did was crank it up. Runs great. Will not turn the chain. I didn't do anything to it. I didn't take anything apart. Tried adjusting the chain tensioner. Nothing. Youtube searches showed problems with this type of tool involving the drive shaft or similar issues with other users. A bad omen to me. I'm not one to spend $874.16 on anything that doesn't work from the first time using it. I dont want an expensive tool that needs to be fixed the first time it's used, and in my opinion, it would be nothing but problems every time. This is not a customer service driven business. More like a "I'll tell you how you are wrong about everything no matter what you say, but I'm right and does not respect customers with a problem with them. Lots of inventory and by my first ever interaction an absolute dumpster of a company. I do not recommend doing business here.

As a sidebar, there is a very expansive PEZ collection there! Nice people, too. Bottom line is that there is absolutely no reason why you should hesitate to do business with them. Also, they sell a lot of equipment; in fact, I was told that rental was a small part of their business. Check out their website - it is done very well and should answer any question that you have.

The place is about what you'd expect of a shop that rent tools - not exactly pristine - but the service is pretty good. The first time I picked up the equipment and traveled ~15 miles home only for the thing to die within an hour. They were very nice and sent out a technician. He couldn't fix it after several attempts of running back and forth. They picked up the equipment a few days later and refunded my fees. Today I had a confirmed reservation so I went to pick it up. Apparently they are holding some sort of event or meeting for Sunbelt employees so they took ALL the parking spots. You would think the people working would park somewhere else than take up all the spots in the lot. I ended up parking in the driveway. I go in to pay for the equipment rental. I find that I was told incorrectly the number of accessory bags available. It happens, okay. I go to the loading area and the guy tries to load the wrong equipment. I show him the paperwork and he agrees it's not the right thing. He takes it back and I never see him again. The lady who helped me at the front desk comes out to me after some time and says they were broken into last week and that must have been something they stole. It's about 300lbs and on a pallet. Ok not her fault. So I leave empty handed yet again. If you have a business, how do you not do an inventory of equipment after being broken into and things stolen? I get maybe not doing every small item but a 300lb machine should be accounted for. That's my impression on how this place is managed. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If you have the choice, I would recommend going elsewhere.
