It's not a terrible drive from Fort Mill, SC, about 45 minute on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to park right in front of the Venue and my ticket was waiting at will call. A smooth and easy check-in and I was able to talk to Todd before the show. I've seen him several times when he collaborates with other musicians but this was the first time solo. He played a mix of originals and covers. After several songs others joined him for several songs. They were all great on a Dave Mason original, Feelin Alright. Many know the song from the Joe Cocker cover. The band was great, Todd with some great guitar licks and a lead riff, the bass player was laying the line, the drummer on time and the keyboard player, Bazz The GranDude, with a nice mini-solo. Very impressed with the lady on the mixing board. She was out front on her iPad and got the vocal & instrument mix solid. It was a fun time and I hope to return before the summers done.

Also the place is kind of big and they also have a stage for the live bands. The bands that played that day were pretty rad I think all of them were local bands. I think it's great that this place supports local bands. I really like that they had collection of skateboards on wall. Addtionally I would've given this place a 5 star but they don't serve mixed drinks only beer which is a bummer for me. So I didn't get to drink because of that and also one of the reasons we left. They also had a cover charge which was at a decent price. Furthermore if y'all are looking for chill place I recommend trying this place out.

After almost 6 months, and after not hearing any word on the status of the show, I contacted ETIX on 3/3/25 for a refund. They told me that they haven't heard a word from the venue and couldn't issue a refund. After being denied a refund, I reached out directly to the venue via email to request a refund, or the date for a make up show, and got no response or bounced email. I then sent several messages via Facebook Messenger with no response. The messages show as READ. They have been posting on Facebook all along, and the county GIS shows the venue is still intact. WHERE IS THE MONEY????

The owner said the show had been cancelled and refunds would be issued in the next 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I again contacted owner about the refund. He promptly blocked me from their website. Hopefully, my bank will be able to get my refund. Slimy as heck owner and business.

Many acts that play here go on to be be well known signed acts. Food is basic but well prepared .. don't expect knock your socks off but decent and filling. They have a really wide variety of beer -- something for everyone. Beer prices have remained low and very affordable over the years I have enjoyed Down Home. Also a great place to meet and talk to people in town. I would drive 5.5 hours just to come to this place. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, just like good ole bluegrass and Gospel should be.
