What a great crew of human beings at WCIA. I was there for a work related event (telethon) and we had an amazing time. The employees couldn't have been more accommodating and welcoming. The telethon was a success as me and my co workers and with the help of WCIA were able to reunite unclaimed property ($$) to the rightful owners. Glorifying a murder just doesn't sit well with me. Lack luster apology definitely doesn't do it for me either. I understand they are trying to show both sides of the situation but after video footage and all reports have come out now, it's clear the side any logical person would be on. It's a no for me WCIA. We have lived in the country northwest of Danville for over 20 years. When we bought the house it was equipped with a 25 fought tower antenna. We got about 5 local stations that might be a little iffy in bad weather. We were so excited when digital HD came about and increased our reception of several stations. Unfortunately, over the last few years your signal has been increasingly weak. Sometimes our screen cuts out over several hours to full days. The latest lasted three days in which we received the notice "no signal". We receive the best signal from Channel 15 out of Springfield and Channel 17 from Decator . I don't understand how these are coming in better than Channel 3 which is less than 40 miles away. It was good in the beginning but has gotten weaker of time. What's the deal? read more

I agree with the only other review. Roscoe is charge sucks. Shes a self promoter and a repeater of other news, nothing original and a lot of things she just wont go with because of her own progressive views. Miss the old crowd. read more

Thru the decades WCIA - Channel 3 was the television station to watch - they earned our enthusiastic loyalty with diligent attention to detail and news coverage well suited to east central Illinois. However that has all changed under new ownership and management. Their much ballyhooed weather forecasts are NOT accurate; they run the same marginal news stories repeatedly - there seems to be a reluctance to do any original reporting over the weekend unless something awful happens. Their self-promotion is carried to the extreme and the station promos are flickering attacks on your eyes. Spelling errors show up frequently in on-screen graphics; news personalities display a recurring inability to read their teleprompters. This dumbed-down management style may be suitable/appropriate to other geographic areas, but not here in east central Illinois. We deserve better, much better. I respectfully suggest you look elsewhere for your TV coverage. read more
