When I called, I asked if he was busy that day. He said he was in bed. It was about 9 AM. I told him what happened and he said he would have to make an emergency charge. WTF??? He came over and said it would be $2500. I told him to take the $2000. Especially, after it was the second time. On first time he was here, he went to the bank and said I shorted him $100 in cash. He should have called the bank first. Apparently, he doesn't care if he loses customers. When you talk to him, he looks the other way. Sorry bud, no more cash from me.

As many will know who are reading this, that "word-of-mouth" comes with its fair share of risk. After hiring a number of contractors to do various jobs around the house, we experienced the full gambit of poor and unreliable results. One of the main contractors we hired rarely showed up, extremely lacking in their work ethic, and left the yard a trash pit when they did show up. Not to mention the job wasn't completed and took four times as long as promised, and communication was few and far between. This is where we were extremely lucky to find Alex. Not only does Alex show up right on time if not early, but he also completes the work we hired him for efficiently and expertly. He seems to have an endless skill set that we are more than happy to explore as we have many projects to get done. Alex has expertly leveled and treated the ground before laying the sod for the front and back yards. Moved tons of rock up and down stairs, installed rock/grass edging, planted bushes and trees, installed sprinkler lines (including digging) with gauges, and laid a brick wall as well as pavers all with the expertise of a large experienced company. Alex also shows the incredible courtesy of clear communication...not found often these days. He has cleaned up my mountains of leaves and had no problem bagging them up, chopped up lots of brush, started repairing my back driveway, fenced off an area, and cleaned up my giant front and back yards and 2 driveways, 2 decks, and even set up an outside feral cat house which none of the many contractors I have had here would touch. I have had so many contractors and builders show no interest in things I wanted to get done, but Alex got on everything right away. He has only been here twice, but I will be a repeat customer for as long as he can handle my needy property.

The final invoice was significantly higher than other vendors and learned that Jason charged $80 an hour for unskilled labor which is greater than my auto mechanic, carpenter, etc. My mistake in not getting a quote before the work was the culprit. The quality of work was good but the price was super inflated. Lesson learned. Recommend get a few quotes before committing.
