We were very impressed with We Restore Decks. We worked with Jonathan at first and it was a pleasure to work with him through the whole process. Tomas the construction lead and his crew did excellent work. He listened to our concerns and made any changes we requested. The cost was much cheaper than replacing our old deck with a completely new deck. They extended our deck 4' and replaced wood decking and railing with Timber Tech French White Oak. They also replaced the wood rails with stainless steel cable. It looks great! We wanted it done by our daughter's baby shower and they completed it on time. They did a great job from start to finish. After entertaining a few very different deck companies that were either extremely too expensive or wasn't skillful enough for the job, I kind of gave up trying to restore my deck. I knew my deck needed some TLC but I didn't know exactly what it needed or where to turn. After my sabbatical, I did a google search and magically they appeared - We Restore Decks popped up. I thought, wow - this place might actually be able to help me. I put a call in and spoke to the office manager, Megan aka Miss Friendly Customer Service Pants - Herself! She thoroughly listened to my deck concerns and immediately scheduled Morgan to come out and give me an estimate. SN: she encouraged my habit of including several emojis throughout my emails and that made me like her that much more! She's extremely personable! A few days later, Morgan came out to measure and take a closer look at my deck. He broke down all of the necessary steps that would be required to have my deck looking in pristine condition. Morgan was also extremely customer service oriented. I also found him to be extremely wise - he's a Washington Redskins fan like myself! (wink) He sent me a very reasonable estimate that night and Megan contacted me a few days later to put down a deposit and walk me through the next steps. Since treating a deck is weather dependent and they had a few jobs ahead of me, I couldn't get my work done ASAP, which was fine by me because we're in the middle of a Pandemic and I have nothing but time on my hands, plus I had to get my HOA's approval. In the mean and between time, I was able to reach out to Megan with any lingering questions that remained. Another little nugget of customer service that I appreciated was that every time I received an email from We Restore Decks, they included all of the steps my deck was going to receive while being restored. It was never any question of what was going to be done, what to expect next, or the process because it was all written down in black and white. Of course the guys were there to answer any questions I had or go over any final details, but I still had an understanding of the process prior to them even coming out. I received a text and email before the on-site staff came out (not hired contractors...which was a huge plus) so I was able to remove any items that would be in the way from my deck. The guys came out and after day 1 I was hugely impressed! John, To'Mas and Kevin worked wonders on my deck! My deck looked like a totally new deck. After day 2, my deck looked like I was cheating on it with a newer deck! I am extremely pleased with my deck and couldn't have asked for a better company to do the job. WRD's has carved out a great specialty in deck restoration and we're glad we found them. They were able to give us a cost effective solution to updating the look of our old/aging deck, which was way more affordable then replacing, and we're very happy with the result. We Restore Decks is a company of integrity and great work. They have excellent communication (Jacklyn and Meghan) and let us know they were watching the weather closely to come out to our place. We had issues with the initial stain and dirt coming though within the first year and they re-stained the deck at no charge. TLDR: These guys are great! Very knowledgeable, fair, helpful, and reasonably priced. Background: We built a wood deck using still-wet pressure treated lumber from one of the Big Box stores 2.5 years ago, and boy did it wear out fast! The lumber warped, the stain wore off, and the plastic lattice I put on looked admittedly awful. The Work:After shopping around a bit, we met with Jonathan, got some options, quoted the work, then signed on the dotted line. The staff that came over was great! They sanded and acid washed our deck, making it look like new again. They also tightened up a bunch of boards that had popped up, and sanded down some areas that were warped. They then replaced my old vinyl lattice below my deck with a much nicer wood lattice, then stained the whole deck. We went with a two-tone dark base with white rails and it really looks sharp. We're 5 months post-restore and are still extremely happy with the work they did. I've recommended them to all of my neighbors, and would happily work with them again in the future. read more

She is one in a million and whatever the company is paying her, it's Not Enough! Armando was the foreman on my project and despite having his son suffering 2 broken wrists from a playground accident, he got the job done And made sure that it was done so that I was happy! I was probably one of there most difficult customers because of what my existing stain color was and what my HOA "approved" stain color was, but it all worked out thanks to this GREAT customer service oriented company! OUTSTANDING - Johnathan runs an exceptional team that is both professional and cares about the work and making sure the customer is satisfied with the finished product. From the time of meeting with Johnathan for a estimate to the final payment, he always seemed to place the customers expectations and needs first. Each member of his team is courtesy and cares personally about the work they are doing as it shows in the final product. I had my deck and fence installed in 1996 and have used several services since that to have it cleaned and stained. I will never use another team as long as Johnathan's is in business. We attended the Home Show at the Benfield Sportsplex a few weekends ago. It was a great show and we met a lot of good people. At the show, we talked to Jonathan at We Restore Decks and described our project. We told him all about it and asked him what he thought. We said that we did not want to waste his time if he thought it would be over $22K to do the project. He did some calculations and told us no problem. We set up an appointment and he came to our house last week.. Spent some time talking and taking measurements. He was suppose to provide us an estimate early this week. So today we get an email with sorry but we are too busy for your effort but I'll refer you to a college friend. Sorry but be honest with people up front. If you are too busy then just say so. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

We were extremely pleased with Jonathan and his We Restore Decks staff. They are pretty busy and work has been delayed because of the unusually rainy Spring we've had, but it was well worth the wait. First, Jonathan was available to supervise the work that he did not do himself, which was very reassuring. The first step of chemical cleaning was done about two weeks prior to the finishing, which included sanding, nailing in loose nails and staining, as well as repairing a support post on the front porch. The young men were all very professional, courteous and a pleasure to have around. The price may not have been the lowest in town, but it was definitely a good value and we would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again. read more
