I'm very satisfied with everything. They allowed us to use my Pastor. My toddler was trying to steal the show (as seen in the picture), but they didn't mind at all. We had right at 40 people and for the most part it held all of us. The pictures finally came in and they're decent for the most part. Only recommendation is that I wish it was recorded. The cost was affordable and the people were very helpful.They provided everything we needed for our perfect socially distanced wedding. The pictures were professional. I would do it all over again. Blast from the past. After recently getting married at this place I thought it needed a review. It's a very serious, old school chapel, for a price. The prices are pretty steep for what you're getting. I mean this place is nice but it's not $435 dollars nice for 40 pictures and a 8 minutes wedding service and a photo book. The building looks like it use to be an old mortuary. It's pretty old and if you have ever watched the wedding singer the theme is like that. The people woman who runs it all seems very stiff. She's very serious and doesn't care to speak in a tone that makes you feel dumb. They asked to move my time an hour because I was the only wedding and that was cool but no discount or addition for my agreement ? I should have gotten something. Also bring your own bouquet. The ones you use and keep if you want look like they were robbed from burial plots. The pictures on the wall look like they were taken from 1970s during the bettlejuice era. The woman shooed someone of my party more than once to go away during two different occasions because of where he was standing which was supper unprofessional. I don't know how the chapel looked inside for a marriage I only know of the brides room ( which states only the bride and one party is allowed however at least 3 people and a few kids could fit comfortably) and the entrance and the gazebo. I wish they would have decorated the gazebo but when I asked she said there was so time so yeah but there was a paint peeling gazebo with a paint chipped bench I got married by. The waterfall water looked green. And the camera the photographer was using did not even have zoom. I give it two stars because of my experience with my family and my husband. We made the best of it and that's what mattered. So if you're looking for something not expensive and convenient this may be your place. However if I would have be able to visit the place first I would have probably went elsewhere. read more

September 12, 2017 we chose Wedding Chapel by the Sea to get married at. We were very happy then and are still very happy now with the choice we made. We chose the outside gazebo. Hurricane Irma was in town for our wedding and Darlene stayed in touch with us on a daily basis and helped us through the process. Made it very easy and helped keep us calm with the weather that was rolling in. Reverend Muise gave us a beautiful ceremony one that we will remember all our lives. I can not remember the lady that did the photos but she did amazing. Great value for the money we spent. I would choose to do it here again in a heartbeat very intimate romantic professional service. Got the intimate ceremony package. Was told wedding album was included. Got it in the mail, it was a junkie pamphlet. Poor image quality. People's face were red splotches on skin. Only 24 pictures but they didn't let us pick which ones we wanted. Afraid to buy the disk because of how the paper pamphlet came out but will be risking it and paying even more for pictures I'm entitled to. Ceremony was good people were friendly. When I booked their was an option do 5 o clock. They called the next day and said they close at 5. You can bet I got my 5 o clock slot. Shouldn't be an option if they don't want people there then. When me and my wife got engaged, we both decided we want a beach wedding and choice Myrtle beach. After researching around on line, we came across Wedding Chapel by the Sea. after do more research we decided to go with the Platinum package. It 7,500 dollars but it included pretty much everything you needed. From invitations, reception, catering, a golf out ting for the groomsmen, spa day for the bridal party, and even two night honeymoon suite at the Sea Mist. I had everything we needed. As time pass Wedding Chapel was emailing back and forth (at the time) my fiance parents (who were paying for it). They would show wedding cakes and catering options to pick from. A month before the wedding they told us they double booked the reception hall but the new hall ended up being much nicer. So we got down there, did are spa day and golf out ting and everyone really enjoyed it. Then we did the rehearsal and we were pleased with the gazebo outside were we where getting married. Plus the Chapel inside (in case it rained) was very nice. The wedding day came up, of course I was extremely nervous. The wedding end up being perfect, couldn't have asked it to be better. After the wedding we re staged the wedding for pictures, plus of course took a ton more pictures outside the chapel. Limo came and picked us up (which was included in the package), took us to the respect ion hall. We took more pictures and went inside. The reception was beautifully setup, The DJ (also included) did a great job and got everyone out on the dance floor. Later that night we checked into are honeymoon suite, it was a very nice room. So far Wedding Chapel did perfect. Weeks later include we were suppose to get pictures on line, a wedding album, and a 4 blue ray wedding videos. First the picture came up on line, they were BAD! There was blurry shots, pictures with peoples eyes close, not locking at the camera and pictures with the photographer in it. We weren't happy with them. So my mother in law emailed them about it. Turned out they uploaded the wrong file on line and ended up fixing it. The new pictures they upload were MUCH better. We got are wedding album in it it was pretty nice, not perfect but we enjoyed it. Then the wedding videos came in. In just had my wife and me being pronounced husband and wife, then having a slide show of pictures. Again not what we wanted but we contacted then and again they fixed it. So with the exception of the first time messing up on are pictures and wedding video. Wedding Chapel by the Sea did everything perfect. read more

From the very beginning I was not happy with this chapel. There was a cheap 8.5x11 typed-up sign hanging on the door saying that personal cameras were not allowed to take your own pictures. Who in their right mind would NOT take pictures, especially since it was my brother's wedding! There was also a handwritten post-it note attached asking guests not to ring the door bell because a wedding was in progress. It looked extremely unprofessional. The bridal suite was okay to get ready in. It had a mini fan, a bathroom and a full length mirror in it. The altar where the actual wedding was held was decorated nicely. However, the video cameras they had set up in three different parts of the room were cheap little Sony handhelds. These were the video cameras that they were using to make a wedding video?! I am curious to see what this video will look like, however from what another reviewer stated I am not expecting more than just a slideshow of photos. During the ceremony, there was no photographer in sight. SO we whipped out our phones and cameras and took our own pictures. No one said anything. When the ceremony ended, a woman came rushing in with her camera and pushed the groom, bride and her father out of the auditorium saying they were now going to re-enact the whole thing for the photos. I'm pretty sure that's not how you're supposed to do it. When you're getting married you want the true emotion to show in your photos! On top of this strange re-enactment photo shoot, the photographer was using a 700 dollar Nikon DSLR camera with the original stock lens. My boyfriend owns this same exact camera and he only purchased this camera to take photos as a hobby. Any real photographer should use a full frame camera and certainly NOT use the stock lens that came with it! The brides mother upgraded the package before the ceremony started so that we would have more photos and also a wedding video, but after seeing the whole process unfold I was terribly unimpressed and very disappointed. read more

I got married here 20 years ago, so I don't know how valid it will be, but a few things to consider. We paid extra for a beach wedding. It was just the two of us traveling from MN. Got here a day ahead of time to apply for marriage license, grab flowers, etc. We arrived on time to the chapel, but due to allergies I was in the dressing room a while trying to fix makeup. The preacher was getting nervous and told my husband to come and get me, which he did. Then we hopped in our car and followed him and the photographer/witness to a hotel parking lot next to the beach. They motioned to us to follow them so we started walking toward the water, but wait, stop here on this concrete slab with some boulders sticking up. This is where you are getting married. WTH??? Really? In an alley between two high rise hotels? Yep. That's what we paid extra for. I looked at my husband and he looked at me and said "hey we're already here. Let's just do it". The only thing beachy about it was the sand on the sidewalk. When we got our wedding video we realized a greyhound bus full of tourists had joined our intimate wedding as they disembarked for a weekend of fun. There were also uninvited guests up on the balconies too. We found them as we were pronounced 'husband and wife' and clapping came from everywhere. It was NOT what we had pictured AT ALL. Pictures took place afterward, complete with smeared mascara all over my face. Yep, I cried. But the photographer didn't even tell me my makeup was a mess. I found that out when we got our photos. So, be forewarned. Ask to see the 'beach location' you are paying extra for, and have someone bring a mirror if they are taking pictures afterwards. After all these years, it's now just a funny story, but at the time....not so much. You've been warned. read more

Warning!!! Scam Alert!!! These people sell you 24 pictures for $100. However, what they don't tell you is for $100, all you get is a paper brochure with very small, terrible images which you cannot see. Although you can buy more for extra money. It's a shame for such a special event, these are all the memories we get. If we had known (read the fine print on the website), we would have made other arrangements. Also, don't believe the pictures on the website. The place is rundown, no flowers or plants to decorate the gazebo. I give this place a 1 star rating. There are many other chapels in Myrtle Beach. We couldn't be any happier with our wedding ceremony! The staff was beyond kind, helpful, and informative. They were amazing with our children! Extremely patient. My husband and I wanted a low key, private ceremony on the beach for an inexpensive price and I think we got what we paid for. All in all our experience was 4 stars. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because our pictures were late going up and they do not have a way to sell us a cd of the pictures which I did not know until after. I liked most of the pictures, though I do not feel like they were "professional" images, they were done with a nice camera by a young lady that worked there. Could have easily been done by somebody else with my digital camera. Our minister was great, a very sweet man. We had the civil ceremony which was nice. Even though you pay a 50 dollar surcharge for the beach location, it is not a private area, it is behind a resort. But for only 275 dollars, we got what we paid for and I was satisfied. To get your hair done, go to CoCo's Salon and Spa a block down the street from WCBTS. Get Jacqueline, she did a get job with my hair, and even opened up an hour early for me. read more

After months of planning we were rushed in and rushed out! It was very apparent we where taking up there time and they did not want to be there. We were charged extra the day of the wedding out of the blue saying "your package didn't allow any guests! "But we chose the big wedding chapel section to fit our guests" waited over a month to get the photo book included in the package "but it was a lot of the back of people's heads" and we are still waiting and calling for the DVD we where supposed to get we keep leaving messages but no response. My advice is get married somewhere else and make it a memorable occasion instead of an inconvenience for the chapel owners and employees. read more

I got married at the chapel in April. Not once was I told that we had to order our pictures online, which were way too expensive. I received the book and called about the pictures and they said they tell all their bride's to be about ordering the pictures online. I told them that they didn't tell us. We chose the "Happily Ever After" package. Since our wedding was at 2:00 and some guests had a long drive, I asked if they could add sandwiches to our reception food. They did but after I had to pay $25.00 extra. It is August now and I looked at the envelope with the marriage license they gave us the day of our wedding. An extra piece of paper was in the envelope telling us about the online photos. This was so wrong! I thought we were getting a good deal and turns out we didn't. They should not charge $10.00 shipping when you only order 10 pictures at a time! Give us a break! Also before the reception was over, a guest told us that the punch was hot. A bag of ice is cheap but I didn't feel like it was my responsibility to buy a bag! They did 6 weddings that day but some were at the gazeebo and on the beach. I'm not saying that I wanted all the attention on my wedding but I think they try to handle too many weddings in one day. read more
