Our officiant, Gordon, was warm and responsive, read a lovely poem by Maya Angelou, and rolled with it handsomely when we realized halfway through the vows that we'd forgotten to tell him my partner uses they/them pronouns. The space is pretty, and we got to use our chosen music. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

On the day of our wedding ceremony, Reverend Lau arrived early to fully explained to us the necessary details of the provincial regulation with regard to the matrimonial matters. He then officiated our wedding ceremony with a most dignified solemn yet relax manner which left us with wonderful memories of this big day marking the beginning of our life together as a married couple. He told me he is available and don't need to sign anything. 1 month before the wedding, called me in a middle of night telling me he can't perform my ceremony because he already booked for someone else. This is after I have confirmed with him and check with him regarding his availability 2-3 times in the past few months. This guy did try to book a friend of him for me who is also an officiant. 3 weeks before my wedding, his friend called and txt me saying that she needs to be going on a vacation. Now I am left with no officiant. I highly recommend you to find someone else in case your wedding got screwed like mine!!!

I am so glad that I did! It felt strange at first, leaving almost everything to others to plan - not even seeing my bouquet or the colours of the linens until 1/2 hour before the ceremony. The last week prior to the event, I even began to question whether I had made a huge mistake. When we got there and had a look at everything - it was absolutely perfect! I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and everyone involved on our day were so great, I can't even come up with words to describe it. Leading up to our big day, the staff always answered all my questions, whether by email or phone. They asked for pictures to get a sense of the colours we preferred and hit the nail on the head. We always felt accommodated and absolutely like ours was the only event they were planning. A special thank you to Katherine, who was absolutely amazing - knowing what to say to keep me calm, asking the right questions so she could correctly choose how to decorate for us, and having a great sense of humor. This venue is small - definitely not for a large wedding, but for the 18 guests we had, it was heaven. I absolutely recommend the Toronto Wedding Chapel if you have a small wedding that you want to be memorable but you're perhaps not the greatest at planning or just don't have the time. The only drawback was the photography. Unfortunately, about 20-30 pictures were pixelated and at least as many were blurry to some degree - however, they did send us almost 300 pictures (in less than a week!), so I refuse to give them less than 5 stars. Jasprit took us through the intense process of first selecting a location, then a resort, then the details for the big day. She was extremely knowledgeable with every aspect of the destination wedding industry. As an added perk, the company communicated directly with my guests and helped arrange special travel arrangements (i.e. shorter time-line, different departure city, etc.). They also communicated with the resort on your behalf so everything is ready upon your arrival. When the time came, we went to their office to see what lighting equipment they had to offer. There were tons of options, from all sorts of intelligent lights to uplights to projectors and screens. Brent, one of their DJs, explained everything to us and made sure we got a package that was exactly what we were looking for. Until we get married, we have the task of coming up with play lists (do not play, please play, cultural music requests, etc) using their extensive and user-friendly website. We feel very confident that our experience with them will continue to be a good one, as we have never (ever!) had any reason from them to believe otherwise. My initial communications with people here in person were great. Towards the endi, it was incredibly frustrating that they would send out LONG standard responses asking you to review everything, yet on at least 3 occasions, did not even respond to my questions. Though we got what we wanted, I was incredibly disappointed at communications with this team. I tried going in person, over the phone and emails to get the message across. Luckily getting invitations is not a long process and we got beautiful invitations. In retrospect, I would have gone elsewhere because this is the only vendor that was frustrating to deal with. I'd recommend you do your research to shop around more than we did. Depending on what you want, you may not really save this much at this place. We budgeted $5 and spend close to $9....that said, we loved them.

I am not a huge DIY person so I didn't want to put my own invitations together. While searching around, I realized that adding a rhinestone to the invitation added a lot more cost. I am so glad I happened upon Stephita while searching online. I order invitation #917 because it was exactly what I wanted and so much cheaper than any of the stores that I was looking at in the US. Also, I did not have to pay tax since the store is based in Canada! Working with Stephita was also wonderful. Everyone was so nice and patient with me as I went through multiple proofs after changing my mind about one thing or another. The invitations came ahead of time and they even included extra envelopes and RSVP cards. I would recommend them 100%!
