Someone else noted on here that they always open the lobby doors for you, which is a nice touch. They also offered me a bottle of water or champagne, I believe it was, upon check-in, I did see the champagne and figured it was for people with status, but I guess not! -Lovely rooms with lots of space, I received one with two queen beds, even though I was just by myself. I also had a partial view of the pool. I ended up going to a lot of the rooms this trip because that's where my meetings were, and one of them had a really nice pool view and sitting area so that must've been a suite. -Pretty nice pool area. I walked around it my first night here and I finally got to use it on my third night. Do note that the lazy river area and waterslides all close at 6 PM, which made it difficult as my meetings usually went until five or 6 PM. There are maybe 5 pools including an adults pool (ages 17+). -Meeting spaces were all very nice but kinda spread apart ... a bit of a walk sometimes. CONS: -The shower in my room had very weak water pressure, I think because the knob that you turned to get it from bath to shower was not functioning correctly. (however: the bath tub was very nice ... one picky thing, though, the shampoo and conditioner and body wash are mounted on the wall so that's really difficult to use if you're taking a bath...) -You definitely need a car to get around (or Uber). I did DoorDash 2 of the 3 nights because of this. -On my last night doing DoorDash, the restaurant I ordered from didn't give me any utensils. I called the hotel restaurant to see if they could bring me some, and they said yes, but never did ... rather disappointing. This property was probably 4.5/5 from me so I'm rounding up to a 5, and I'd definitely stay here again. I'm pretty sure our conference rate was really reasonable as well, I believe it was $179 per night before taxes.

In addition, our room was incredible with three balconies and two amazing views. The gym was also nice; all the machines were clean and working, plus it was well equipped. For such a fancy hotel, I was quite surprised there was nowhere to find water. I expected a fruity water station somewhere near the entry, a standard in high-end hotels today. I was also surprised the concierge could not provide a running map. Even with the local construction, the path right out the front door is nice and separated from traffic. I found the run to Target (for a cool coffee drink) was perfect for a 5-miler. Surely the 10-mile option would include even more treats. Having the front doors opened every time anyone approached the front of the hotel was a nice touch.

They became an outlet for women to get out of the house and to assert their independence by allowing them to get involved in politics during a time when they were expected to be homemakers. Women's clubs helped to launch the women's rights movement. The Punta Gorda Woman's Club was formed in 1925 when three clubs consolidated, The Ladies Fortnightly Club, The Women's Club Civic Association, and The Married Ladies Club. They came together to be able to be able to build a one story Spanish Mission style building in 1926 on land in downtown Punta Gorda donated by Judge William Fenmore Cooper from Illinois. Throughout the years the building housed stage productions, dances, meetings and dinners. The building housed the first library for 30 years and during WWII it was used as a USO. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. In 2000 the Woman's Club transferred the deed to the building to Punta Gorda Historical Society. The building is available for rent for private functions from the Woman's Club.

It was noticeably quieter, the pool felt cleaner, and there was much less hustle and bustle. The room itself was comfortable and met my expectations. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the view was enjoyable. One word of caution: the shower can get pretty slippery, so be careful. The resort offers a complimentary welcome drink, but I wouldn't really call it complimentary since there's a mandatory $35 daily resort fee that covers various amenities, many of which you may not even use. I also don't drink alcohol, so it wasn't much of a perk for me. I did take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of equipment, the treadmills worked well, and they provided complimentary towels, water, and even apples. My only criticism is that the gym could use a more thorough cleaning. One thing to know before booking is that this resort doesn't have a beach. That wasn't a dealbreaker for me because the pool was very nice. My mother and I drove to Sanibel Beach, which was only about 10-15 minutes away. However, parking was difficult to find, it costs $5 per hour, and the mosquitoes were relentless. Unless you're set on visiting the island, I'd recommend relaxing at the resort instead. The elevators worked well, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Overall, there wasn't anything particularly spectacular about this resort, but it provided a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July getaway for my family. I would recommend it to others. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay here again, although I wouldn't hesitate if it were my only option.

There's truly something for everyone. The restaurants are really good, and of course the kids loved getting ice cream at Scoops and Slices. And the customer service is just as special as the place itself. We had a small hiccup this trip, and that's when we had the pleasure of meeting Chrissy at the front desk. I was really disappointed that our reservation and room weren't up to par, but I called and she took immediate action. She not only took care of the issue, she genuinely helped make our stay better. She was so kind to my family and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She is incredible. I only hope that when we come back next summer, we get the pleasure of having Chrissy there again, honestly, It's people like her who make us love this place so much. The amenities here are priceless, but more than anything, we love the feeling this place gives us. It's truly the best place we've stayed in all of Florida. The location is easily located via gps and is mainly long stretches on the same two roads before arriving. You can tell that time went into decorating this venue because no detail was spared. From family bibles and photos of a wedding, to wedding dresses of the brides in the family- you feel like family and warmly welcomed. The owners were so warm, kind and accommodating. There is a large tree on the property that was perfect for the ceremony portion of the wedding. The grounds have plenty of room for tents to be set up for a lovely reception as well. This is a well thought out venue for a perfect outdoor wedding. My ONLY warning is - you must love animals. Luckily, we all adore them and we're so happy to see cats, large dogs(kept inside the main house and were quiet the whole time) and horses. They even allowed our bride to take some photos near one of their gentle horses. You will NOT be disappointed with this location or family. That, my friends, is love. But the second we arrived, I had to admit my wife was right. And yes, I am putting that in writing so she can save this review forever. The property is absolutely beautiful. The farm scenery, the animals, the open space, the donkeys coming over like they're part of the welcoming committee the whole place has such an awesome farm atmosphere. You immediately feel like you escaped Florida traffic and landed somewhere completely different. Then you walk into the barn restaurant and wow. They did an incredible job with the place. Rustic, beautiful, comfortable, open-air, relaxing it honestly feels like you're having brunch in the middle of a farmhouse postcard. Now let's talk about the food. Lord have mercy. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, because somebody at the table had to show some restraint. Meanwhile, everybody else ordered what I'm calling 'The Cure' yes, like the band because that burger looks like something you need catcher's gloves and a construction permit to hold together. Bacon, egg, burger, giant bun, everything stacked about six stories high. That burger doesn't come to the table. It arrives. The food was absolutely delicious. By the end of brunch I was filled beyond capacity, moving even slower than my injured knee already allowed, but happier than a kid walking into Disney World. And then there was Megan, our server. Listen. I'm pretty sure Megan is AI. We started firing off six different orders, substitutions, drinks, sides the whole family talking at once and this woman didn't pull out a pen, notepad, tablet... nothing. She just stood there absorbing information like ChatGPT with an apron on. I'm thinking, there is no way she remembers all this. Everything came out perfect. I'm convinced she had a secret Bluetooth connection directly to the kitchen. And the service didn't stop there. Megan kept checking on us, refilling things, making sure everybody was happy. Honestly, it felt like she had a twin working the other side of the table. Ask for Megan. She rocks. Bottom line, Blossom and Brie is absolutely worth the drive. The atmosphere, the animals, the farm setting, the restaurant, the food, the service all fantastic. We drove almost two hours, my knee complained the entire way, I probably ate enough calories to cancel out my pain medication, and I would still make that trip again. Great food. Beautiful place. Amazing family memories. And yes once again, my wife was right. But please don't tell her I said that. Ten out of ten. Worth every mile.
