The reception's Mediterranean station was beautiful and fresh. The dinner buffet menu imaginative and delicious. One particularly surprising touch was they sent passed items to the tables to tempt the guests AFTER they had already been thru the buffet. Very thoughtful! I've had spanikopita countless times before but not with their herb crusted filo. Oh my God they were good! Their wait staff were friendly and well trained, not some hacks off of Craig's List. They never let dirty glasses or plates pile up. The bartenders didn't let long lines build up and we never ran out of glasses, ice, or liquor. Per request, we had plenty of non-alcoholic options. (You must try the Persian Iced Tea; it is sooo refreshing!) I met the kitchen staff and they were as organized, professional, and polite as could be. The venue we chose (Cylburn Arboretum) loves them. I'm sure The Pantry can pull off a traditional American wedding menu but we went for a foodie experience and they delivered.

When I contacted her, she was very responsive and sent me many examples of her portfolio. When we met with her, she was very professional and agreed to do a lengthy, multi-day wedding shooting. Fast forward to the wedding day, Nessa absolutely nailed the photos. She took beautiful candids but also managed to take scores of huge group photos of family and friends where everyone looked great and didn't blink somehow, and she did it in seemingly 1-2 seconds per group. She agreed to travel with the bride and groom to 2 locations during the wedding day (in between the ceremony and reception) and captured the most stunning autumn photos. Even though we didn't prepare for any couple poses, she shared fun ideas to make us seem more natural and it actually worked. She also was great at taking dance floor photos and everything in between. We received our plethora of beautiful photos through email and were so absolutely pleased. We would absolutely recommend Nessa as she is an expert behind the camera, super fun and easy going, and she helped us capture our day just the way we always pictured it.

She was just as kind and thoughtful with our now almost two year old and new six week old baby. I had to reschedule this time and she completely understood. I was also very impressed with how she dealt with our toddler. She's a handful and quite independent. I don't know how she did it but the pictures she captured of her were amazing! December 2015 We decided to take family pictures of our six week old with Shira and we were not disappointed! She was so pleasant and professional. We definitely enjoyed working with her. The baby responded very positively to her. I definitely would recommend her to others looking for someone to work with their family. Her edits to the picture were great because they were minimal but enhanced the natural beauty of the pictures. We were able to make great Christmas cards and provide prints for our family across the country. As an aside, she had to reschedule and was very apologetic. We understood but she still compensated us with additional pictures because she knew we were slightly stressed about the timing. She also stayed a little longer to make sure we had options. I'm just sharing as an example of the kind of customer service she offers. Not many are good at that part of the business these days.

I had a little experience with some things so first Shira gave me an excellent review then pointed out aspects of the camera completely new to me. AND she wrote out notes on what we discussed! I now have a valuable tailor made cheat sheet. After the camera review we walked around Columbia's Lake Kittamaqundi to apply the lessons learned. Shira is friendly, patient, calming. She is a born teacher. With her help I have become a more confident photographer.

We had only seen a small part of the shoot on the same night we had the photo-shoot and couldn't wait to see the rest, now that we saw the other ones, we are in awe!!!
