I spent most of my time in the grocery section, finding what I needed as far as snacks for the road. At the registers, a short queue for the self-checkouts and no problems with the machines. In the meantime, shop elsewhere. I'm amazed any of these places are still in business, the place looks like a ghost town. Ok, so here is the deal on this place..... Santee is kind of an oasis in I-95 area of SC. There are some decent places for dining, and some cheap places to spend the night. What caught my eye (as we were getting off the highway to go to Clarks restaurant (see my reviews), I saw a sign for Russell Stover Outlet, and it was right among the signs for "SANTEE OUTLET MALL". i thought, "WOW! lil ole Santee has hit the big time now, they even have an outlet mall? Amazing!" Not that we wanted to shop, but I was thinking it was good for the locals and weary people who want something to do. We were on a quest for ice cream only.... I drove toward the outlet mall (after we had our nice lil lunch) to get us a couple of ice creams before we resumed our long drive. We drove down a road that was more leading to the gallows than leading toward a bustling center of a shopping mecca for the masses. Well, we couldn't believe this place, it was downright sorrowful, and I so feel for the people who live around there, to think this is probably the best thing they have within hundreds of miles. The few Name brand places that are still there MUST be using the location as a tax write-off, no way they could make ANY money here! Just wanted to warn you.....in case you might be fooled by the name! SHOP ELSEWHERE!

On one side there are antique vendors who sell clothing, furniture, and food items. On the other side there is a book store/ toy area. If I had some space in my house I would have bought the two items I took photos of. I had a great little visit in Orangeburg and recommend this cute Market when you are looking for a unique piece of furniture or gift for someone. The staff was friendly and the store was very clean.

Went in with my family trying to help my cousin find a belt - we located one and all the signs say everything was on sale for either $10 or $20 (with original price ranges listed on the sign to indicate which was the sale price). At the register, it rang up for $25, which was obviously not correct - and according to the original price, it should have been $10. I went back, took pictures of the signs, and when I was walking back to the register, the cashier had given the belt to another staff member to check the price. I'm not sure if this was a manager or what, but I showed her the pictures and was told it must have been a different item. After trying to explain the original price and the sale prices, she said "I hate to tell you that the signs are not always the correct/same items or prices. I am not going to argue with you!" I was like, listen, either way, it rang up for $25, which is obviously not correct and she told the cashier to ring it up $20. She was extremely rude. I was not arguing with her, raising my voice or being disrespectful. I went to take pictures for them quickly so they didn't have to send someone to the back to check. And if the price is incorrect, I simply asked them to correct it. And don't tell me that I just have to deal with it because the signs aren't always right. Why are you posting incorrect information/pricing? Maybe you should check that before advertising items. I normally don't have an issue because I know what to expect from a Hamrick's, having been to other locations, etc. But this last experience has made me not want to visit this location again.

There's a big stock of merchandise for adults, kids, and in-between. I liked variety of patterns, sizes, styles offered. Scored $3 pajamas pants for around the house amongst some other deals. There's holiday decor, shoes, outerwear, snacks, and other odds and ends. Since they just opened the lines and crowds were a plenty so be ready for the energy! The line just about wrapped the store but they had a full staff of cashiers so it moved fairly steadily. Staff was in good spirits despite the crowds.
