He is a great person to wake up to. Middays with Jamie is fantastic. She does #SmallBusinessSpotlight on Wesnesdays at noon. She brings in local small businesses. And she doesn't limit herself to businesses with brick and morter stores... she also includes smaller online busnesses that people run from their homes! The first is that the manager/owner, JD Hoss, permanently remove himself as a DJ. He loves to hear himself talk and thinks everyone else loves his endless rambling. He goes on and on and on about every topic to the point that I simply switch to another station. He needs to simply STFU and play music. The second issue is the stations website. If your business is in the communications industry you would think that it would be kept up to date and the links work. I don't visit a site to look at pictures of the DJ's or pictures sent in by listeners. At a minimum the Listen Live and On Demand needs to be available.

It's a real radio station like from back in the days when you could listen to real radio via terrestrial airwaves. I actually look forward to tuning in whenever I'm within range coming from The City...and I find myself streaming them over the internet when I'm sitting at my work desk, wishing I was in Donner. I support this station and their sponsors because small towns need real local radio stations, and this one does it very well. They've got a cool logo too... it'd be cool to have Donner Lake rather than Tahoe on it, but, I can understand the choice of the more internationally recognizable lake. I find myself having to bust out my Shazaam app at least once a day with the mix of music on here, and I like their support of local bands.

I'm now listening to half way through the 3rd segment and they are LITERALLY just starting to talk about what SEO actually is, before now, they just talked about why it was important but not even explaining what it actually is for the lame person. Even Eden said they didn't get to the meat and potatoes. What a freaking waste of my time! And even when they got to talking about it, they didn't even talk about anything beneficial. Funny Eden says she's an expert in the marketing business but can't even give a single piece of useful advice. Not one. What business has she actually built? Also, when she talks about building her own business in her last business builder segment, she hasn't done a single thing for her own business that she should be building along with the listeners. How can she expect anyone to follow her advice when she doesn't even do anything? As of today, 10/19 if you go to mindyourbiz.show or the other one she touts that she bought, it brings up nothing. Also, if she's such an expert in marketing, then why is there NOTHING on social media about any of this? She's supposed to be an expert who clearly has no idea what she's doing. The segues to commercials are awful. It's as if the producer is taking a nap in the other room. They often play the transitional music loop for ten full minutes, then snap back into the already-back-on program. The website also has ONE show listed on the weekends. A gardening show that lasts from 9 AM to 10 PM. That isn't a typo. 13 hours of gardening. That's an especially big F-U to me since I can't keep a plant alive to save my life, and the show just makes it sound easy... I seriously wish Reno had better news/talk radio offerings. I put it on as background noise when I am working on my condo (so I'm not really paying attention most of the time), but the fact that I already know the punchline to a joke (having heard it for the fifth time now) is just terrible. This station is caught in a downward spiral, and unless they get new content soon, I can't see them sticking around too much longer. I would listen to AM 780 KKOH, but that's way too far-right-leaning for my taste.

If you want to get more listeners, attract them with contests and prizes, especially during the Christmas season. Then, get a new program director, or at least better programming. It takes a long time to build a good reputation, but it can be lost almost overnight. When your ratings go down, so does the value of the station. The morning show is one of the most terrible shows in throughout the country. This radio station has been delivering bad radio content and they keep making bad decisions. The Frank Show was a decent Radio program from Arizona that they Piped in, but they decided to replace with the Rob, Arney, and Dawn Show.The Rob, Arney, and Dawn show is a program that is piped in from Sacramento and the its morning garbage. They don't care about Reno/Tahoe Nevada and the morning shows content sounds like a garbage disposal trying to grind up an endless supply of garbage. The music on Rock 1045 is a bunch of crap. They pick the same 25 songs and play them again and again. The radio content sucks and is a good example of poor managed corporate run radio. I personally recommend listening to 1057 or 1009 compared to this crappy station.
