The whole experience so far has been lovely. Susan and her team have great communication and were more than willing to answer any questions we had. Our first photoshoot was with Kelly of Studio 292 Photography and it was a dream. She knew that my little girl had no experience and she took the time to explain the casting process to her and told her that not getting a job does not negate her worth or value. Feels like a scam. They of course seemed super pleasant and sincere during the meeting, but not one follow up since the past summer after we signed our boy up and paid them money for their "maintenance fees/online posting". The manner in which things are conducted in current times are much different than when I did some local work back in the late 90s. Back then, I feel I got immediate results. Definitely at least a phone call and I paid absolutely nothing to sign up. Makes sense doing it this way since they make money off the product (the model) and each job they book. Of course they'll give you ALL the reasons why a fee is necessary nowadays and this is the industry standard, but it's definitely cause for pause, if not a red flag entirely. Basically now, they make guaranteed money on everyone that chooses to sign up so what's to stop them from signing just any and everyone? I'm sure some people actually get some jobs through them, but If you're thinking about modeling/acting and doing this as a non-exclusive contract, think twice. Maybe save that money and just put it towards gas and find open auditions yourself. Oddly enough, I'm still giving them 2 stars, but it's really 1 star for their overall business and lack of integrity (eg maybe my toddler kid is too young and people generally don't work with that age range, BUT TELL ME THAT) but I give them an extra 1 star because in the end this was still my choice. It could have all been avoided had I trusted my instincts. **UPDATE** Susan Wehmann called me personally to gain more insight which is respectable. The fact she spoke without being defensive furthers that. She was as pleasant as the first day we met. I have to update this review at least 1 star just for that. In the end after our conversation, I don't know if I necessarily gained anymore clarity or confidence in regards to this industry but I guess only time will tell. read more

I've never written a review before, but I was in the process of visiting the Susan Wehmann Agency site and happened to read Ernest L.'s review and I felt compelled to write my own review because this review is in no way is reflective of my experience working with this agency. Susan Wehmann Agency is the epitome a first-rate, respectable and highly professional agency. I have been listed with this agency for almost 30 yrs as a model and have never heard one complaint about the Wehmann agency by another model, actor, make-up artist, casting agency, art director, client, etc... Just the opposite, when I have been on a job I often hear very positive things from others about the Wehmann agency. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Susan Wehmann Agency and all of the people who have worked there over the years. I would highly recommend the Wehmann Agency without reservation. Susan Wehmann was extremely difficult to work with and is, quite frankly, very rude and self absorbed. Relationships seem to mean nothing to her, just the bottom line is what she's concerned with. Very disrespectful and not customer oriented at all. read more
