Christina Crawford was my acupuncturist in Salem, OR, pre-Covid. I came to her shortly after…read moresuffering a debilitating MS flare that had left me partially paralyzed on my right side. I was engaged in intensive physical therapy and was -- just -- able to walk with a walker. Thanks to Christina's knowledge and using a holistic approach to my situation, she was instrumental, as part of my medical team, in helping me to gain strength and independence. I was able to begin driving again and to walk across flat surfaces without an assistive device during her care. It was solely Christina's care that relieved the pain in my permanently contracted muscles and also led to some muscle retraction and return of normal muscle function in some areas of my body. The holistic approach she takes is far more than 'seeing' you as a person: it's seeing that the person in front of her has trauma -- physical, emotional, or both. And intuitively knowing the best treatment option. I can't thank Christina enough for her dedication, honesty, and integrity and absolute mastery of this documented healing process. 10/10 I would recommend.

She is an excellent communicator and very articulate in explaining her work. Never having tried acupuncture before, I decided to give it a try. I must say that I am receiving benefits from her treatments and will continue to come in on a routine basis. The office also offers herbal teas, Dit Dat Jiao for muscle pain relief and various other supplements for sale. We processed my insurance easily enough and together we developed a healing and recovery plan to aid in an upcoming surgery. She is a very competent and professional provider and I look forward to continuing work with her.

Liz was so welcoming and attentive to my daughter; it made her first massage experience a 10 out of 10. We both left feeling completely relaxed and happy. I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!

He showed some improvement, but others on his care team disagreed about the cause of his symptoms, and he was discharged without further antibiotic care. Two weeks later, he had to be re-hospitalized because the confusion came back. When I asked for them to resume the antibiotic care, I was met with huge resistance, but our neurologist put us in touch with the Stram Center and told us to follow up there. From that point on, everything changed. I first spoke with Nadine, who listened carefully, expedited my appointment with Dr. Stram and guided me through the intake process. For the first time in a month, I felt heard, cared for and hopeful. We saw Dr. Stram in May 2025 and what can I say? He spent hours talking to us about my husband's health background and symptoms, and, after careful evaluation and testing, identified that my husband had contracted multiple tickborne infections. He developed a thoughtful, holistic care plan that was tailored to my husband's individual needs and included input and supervision from multiple, interdisciplinary clinicians. We travelled to Albany for 6 weeks of 5-day/week treatment. It wasn't easy and it was expensive (health insurance covered very little). But was it worth it? Absolutely! Dr. Stram, Nadine and the entire Stram Team (from the front desk to the nurses and technicians) were always approachable and present, answering our (many) questions with patience, respect, transparency and professionalism. My husband has recovered his mental functioning and his overall health has greatly improved. My gratitude for the Stram Center team is boundless and I'd recommend them without reservation to anyone who is seeking help with complex medical questions and has struggled with the mainstream medical system. My only regrets are that insurance companies don't want to recognize wholistic health practices (so many people can't access this valuable care), and, that it took me so long to write this review.
