I have been trying to schedule physical therapy, and the individuals who answer the phone are the most dysfunctional I have ever encountered. They keep saying someone will call me, and no one ever does. Apparently, my review was removed because it was quite a while ago, however, I would NEVER, EVER go to Weil Foot & Ankle Institute again because of F. Bongiovanni DPM. I was there to see someone else but instead he rudely interrupted the other doctor and tried to sell me on a new custom orthotic "material" he would be getting soon from Italy and the doc I was there to see never came back into the office again. Guess what he did instead? He said my custom orthotics which I paid $650 for at Waxberg's just needed an "adjustment". He quickly took my custom orthotics, tore them apart, then said his lab person was gone for the day and said HE didn't know how to put them back together and wouldn't call Chuck @ Waxberg's to help him out. He also put a rocker in my new pair of Asics Gel Kayano's and ruined that shoe entirely. I could not even walk out of there (my husband was waiting) and I cried for weeks because of his actions. I encountered extreme pain due to not having that custom orthotic back because I could NOT walk without it! No sense in complaining to the owner because he'd probably just take this guy's side, but this is the truth so BEWARE. Podiatrists try to rip off people with feet issues only to make money on selling custom orthotics when most of them do not even understand "foot mechanics". The Waxberg's custom orthotics were EXCELLENT and probably just needed a very, minor adjustment but I wanted to get a 2nd pair made by another doctor, just for a comparison. Find Chuck Durante, Pedorthist, if you want a great experience. He "used to be" at Waxberg's but they were bought out by Stan's. read more

I had a bunion and dr Weil did the surgery now right foot is a 9 or 10 shoe size and other foot is 81/2 I should of kept my bunion at least I could fine shoes to fit . My daughter saw a podiatrist on 12/11/24, at which time he ordered an MRI of her ankle and put her in an ankle brace and a boot, plus an orthodic insert. Unfortunately, the combination of wearing both the ankle brace with the boot starting to cause a "hot spot". We took a chance and arrived at the office without an appointment on 12/16/24 at which time we requested the possibility of a larger boot. We were lucky enough to be greeted by Allysa, medical assistant, who normally would be working out of the Oakbrook office. Allysa was FANTASTIC! She was patient, efficient and accommodating. She provided a solution for my daughter that alleviated the "hot spot", while still providing the support she needed. GREAT JOB ALLYSA. My daughter and I thank you for HEARING us and giving us the attention and care we needed. read more

Who likes feet? I really don't like my feet, but I have to take care of them. Let's be honest about this up-front:. Your experience with your doctor is very personal and unique to you. The next patient is different and will have a different experience. That said, I'm going to give a review about the Weil Clinic itself. This is one of the nicest physician offices I've ever been in. They seem to have most of the first floor, so it's very large and spread out. The patient waiting area is really nice, with various seating options. They have a new patient portal / kiosk to fill out paperwork electronically. It feels very modern and comfortable. Some people may not care about that, but if you are going to visit your doctor it might as well be a nice and comfortable environment. You may have a different doctor than I do, but I feel everyone was very thorough and gave me adequate information to make decisions. read more

This is a top run business with great results, but at top end prices. If you can afford it, they are worth it. I've worn orthotics most of my life and have seen prices slowly climb over the years. Expect to pay $100-150 more than what they might cost elsewhere. Is their product better than the competition, time will tell. Interesting, they also sell their own OTC orthotics in the store connected to the office (these too, are $10-20 more than ones available at Walgreens) that they ask you purchase while waiting for your custom ones. read more

This is the second review I have left regarding Weil Foot & Ankle. Other review is no longer up. My problem with Weil is their office staff and especially their billing department. I have multiple bills that until recently delineate that a $30 charge is for a variety of different reasons. All of which are incorrect. On multiple calls to the department I have been screamed at, and hung up on. What does it take to make a person be willing to listen and try to help resolve a problem. If the billing department is so rude and inept perhaps it would be in Weil's best interest to find people who are adequately trained in what they are supposed to be doing, as well has have the ability to be courteous read more

I was under weekly care by Dr.Grigoropolus for 2 years All was going great..she was caring and knowledgeable.. We had great conversations.. Out of nowhere I got a voicemail saying all my appointments were cancelled.. No explanation.. Nobody would talk to me..totally hung out to dry...don't get it !!! read more

Had Dr. Weil do my bunionectomy and straighten my toes last year. Very positive experience. My foot is great and I can wear my heels again! There are various offices around Chicagoland so very convenient. I I especially appreciate that never once did I wait for more than 5 minutes for my office visits. Scheduled an appointment to see Dr. O'Keefe for 1:30 in the afternoon. After the appointment was scheduled they told me to arrive half an hour early to complete paperwork. I said I would do the best that I could but I was coming from work and it was snowing heavily outside. I got to my appointment 15 minutes before the scheduled time and the receptionist chewed me out for not arriving a full half an hour before the appointment. I explained that I was coming from work and I did the best that I could. I asked if it was going to be a problem and she gave me a dirty-looking a glaring expression. My response was to tell the receptionist that there are a lot of doctors in Illinois to choose from and I left. I'm sorry that the doctors hired this person as their receptionist because I'm sure that I'm not the first person to walk away from that sort of treatment. This is absolutely not the way to treat a new patient. This was my first and final experience with this organization. read more
