Days ago, my husband had a bad fall, and he suffered many injuries. He felt concerned about one particular area of his body, so I recommended that he go to an urgent care. He chose this one. He did not complain to me about the employees here. He said that the staff did an x-ray, and their interpretation was that his rib was not fully broken but might be either slightly cracked or bruised. They said that his rib would heal on his own and to take pain medication. The staff also briefly looked at his other injuries and said that he was doing OK and would heal over time.

They used to have one spot open per day for IVF patients who needed an ultrasound the next day to confirm the egg retrieval date, but they scrapped that policy making it impossible to schedule anything unless it is several days in advance. Also, it does not matter if you are an existing customer in the system. or that you just had an appointment yesterday, you have to provide all of your information all over again as if you were a brand new patient. This is frustrating and a waste of time. Their new policies are horrible and I will never go back to them again. It's not worth the frustration. They no longer want to care about customers, fine, there are other places to go. The only good Customer Service person is Oma; they do have one that is amazing. Sadly she is only one person.

Allegheny General outpatient services is an extension of Allegheny General hospital. Usually one or…read moretwo specialists come here once a week in order to make it convenient for patients who live in the Greentree area. They also do blood work in this same area. Make sure to check with your insurance for coverage if you want the convenience of having your lab tests here. It is housed in the same office complex that serves Greentree medical. When I went for my initial apt with a GI doctor I wondered why their reception check in area was dark. I later learned that you must register at Greentree medical and make any applicable co-pays. Once I did that I was almost immediately taken in and seen by the nurse. As is the case she addressed my symptoms and shortly after that I was seen by a physician from the Allegheny Center for Digestive health. We had a consultation and he gave me recommendations on how to address the health issue I am dealing with. I learned that he does do diagnostic procedures but those are done in the outpatient building next to Allegheny general hospital on the North Side. Outpatient scheduling is done remotely by one of his schedulers located at their main office at the outpatient building. Dr. Kulkarni, whom I saw seemed very knowledgeable; he prescribed a procedure for me and a follow up apt in about 3 months. The outpatient center falls under Allegheny Health network. They accept most major insurances. Due to HIPAA regulations no photography is permitted inside the offices.
