When the little boy got to kindergarten, he realized that not everyone had a pet raven. Most of the other kids had dogs, cats, or even rabbits. He felt weird, unique, but okay. In a similar tale of oddities, both of my index fingers are curved like a skating ramp. I always dismissed this as my "normal", thinking my curved fingers were because I played violin since 3 years old. Maybe I was a like a geisha with her bound feet? Despite my consistent workout routines I could not seem to manage the nutrition aspect of my journey and as I entered my 40s things seemed to become more complicated.
