The hotel where we were staying had a spa but the prices were very high so I turned to Yelp to see if I could find someone. I guess Yelp is not big in Spain so I couldn't find anybody with any reviews. I came across Dharmassage, and checked out his website. I couldn't tell much from the website but I thought ' what the heck, I should just give him a try'. Boy am I glad I did! Rafael was wonderful. He doesn't speak much English, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't speak Spanish so the communication was a bit difficult but we managed with our smartphone's translation apps. He concentrated on the problem area first then relaxed me with a full body massage. It was such an enjoyable experience. I think I ended up going back to him a few time that week. Rafael is a very mild-mannered kind soul who has an amazing touch. If you are ever in Sitges, don't even bother with over-priced hotels spas. Rafael is easiest reach by text or I used WhatsApp.

There are classes throughout the day, a spinning room, weight machines, a large free weight and stretch room, suspension cables, pool, spa, turkish bath, treadmills, etc.., etc.. Yes, everything! Oh, and there's even a beauty center for facials, and massages. BUT THE BEST PART for me was the free session with a personal trainer. He takes into consideration your age, weight, health concerns, and all other aspects of your body and then sets you up on a program. You're given a fob key to plug into all the recommended machines and the screen will instruct on seat position, amount of weights, and the number of repetitions. It's like having a personal trainer with you everyday at the gym. The staff here are all very friendly (and attractive, lol) and are very helpful. Showers are large and private. Oh, and don't forget your toiletries! Locker area is quite spacious as well. There are a few locations around Barcelona, Madrid, and other international cities and members get access too all of them. Obviously it's a little pricier than the other gyms, but IMHO it is totally worth it!

They also have unlimited hot tea and water throughout the experience, which made everything feel even more luxurious and relaxing. My absolute favorite part was the isolated jacuzzi chambers. Honestly, I almost did chile lol. Everything about this place feels intentional and calming. The baths in the basement area were clean, and despite their rules banning affection, we still saw people making out and getting cozy in one of the pools. The 90 minute massage and facial service was a treat for less than €200, and they offer L'Occitane hair and body products in the shower. A nice added touch are their packaged, unused hairbrushes and basic toiletries to use after your service. Though we paid for a 90 minute visit, the massage and facial felt a bit shy of 1 hour. Nevertheless, we all had a relaxing time and were happy to be able to pamper ourselves while on vacation.

She checked in with me to make sure the pressure was okay or asked if I needed more. My sore muscles felt so much better during and after. After the massage, Bea set up a sitting area with a pot of delicious tea for me. I took my time and relaxed there, and finished the whole teapot. Then we went to our massage appointment at KiroMasaje, which was 10 minutes walking from our hotel. We booked a couples massage in advance through Whats App, as advised on their website. I opted for the 60 minute relaxing massage and he had the 60 minute deep tissue massage. The prices were asked about in advance and we brought cash. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment and knocked on the door. We were welcomed inside to a dark yet serene lobby. They offered some refreshment and then we were walked to the room where they set up. We were asked to remove our clothing and lay face down on the beds. The ladies got to work on us and we were treated to some awesome massages. From the commentary my husband kept blurting out, he was having the best massage ever. It is the best way to relax after a long flight, which started off our vacation on the right foot. As far as the location, we found it easily and while it is tucked away from the main thoroughfare, we felt relatively safe. The ladies do a great job and we were happy with the services.
