I didn't appreciate how I was told to come on Saturday to check my TB but and when I get here they are closed all day

My job requested for additional tests to complete the hiring process (physical, titer test, TB blood, and vaccine Tdap) and I was able to make an appointment for this past weekend (Saturday February 24th, 2024). I walked in about 20 minutes before my appointment to check-in and was immediately greeted by Josh. Rachel and Josh were both polite and professional! I had an appointment today for 1:45pm, they made me write my name & phone number on a clipboard and informed me I would be called shortly. I'm thinking 5-10 minutes the most since I had an appointment. The blond female behind the computer was extremely rude and looked like she did not want to be there. I ignored her and went to the car to wait. 2:20 and still not phone call. I walked in and asked her if I would be called soon because I had an appointment. She said, "I don't know" so I told her "don't bother calling, I'm not waiting any longer." I crossed my name and number from the clipboard and left. (My review is for this location, not the company as a whole). I genuinely hate leaving bad reviews but after the experience I've had with this WellnessMart location, it feels necessary to save people the time/hassle of coming here. I've made a total of 3 appointments at this location for a TB test (all through their website). The first appointment was on a Saturday -- I show up, and they tell me no nurse is on-site for the day. Okay. I ask them if it's normal to be able to make an appointment for a specific service if there won't be an appropriate professional (in this case a nurse) to handle said service on the day of. They tell me it was an oversight but to please consider making an appointment during the week. No problem! I make a second appointment for a Wednesday. I show up -- they tell me that there is no order from my company for a TB test. I get in contact with my HR dept., they tell me that's not true and that they can see it on their end. Due to how long it took, however, I have to reschedule. Okay, no problem. I reschedule. This is now my third appointment. I make it bright and early on a Thursday morning. I show up. No nurse. The guy who works there knew as soon as I walked in that there was no nurse on site and immediately apologized however then told me that there is no system in place to let customers know ahead of time and/or no way to reflect the lack of a nurse on their website. This is completely untrue. After speaking with WellnessMart's headquarters immediately after this incident, they explained to me that every location has the ability to update their availability for specific services as well as NOTIFY CUSTOMERS BEFORE COMING. Staff is poorly educated my arm is tingling and numb.The assistant in the front desk asked me if I was paying out of pocket (exams were paid by company) to follow the assistant in the back attempting to draw my blood four times out of one arm going too deep and against the vein!!! Went in for multiple immunizations, drug test, and mask fitting. Was a walk in the first day, took 4 hours to be seen which sucked, but thats how it is. Both nurses were cool, handled everything professionally, and were able to help me out with my questions. The second time, I had an appointment for mask fitting and a couple other shots anf did not wait at all, got in and out within 20 minutes. The nurses this time around were cool too. WHOA! LOVE, LOVE this place! Now it is BUSY....this is the most densely populated location of L.A. and this clinic takes that brunt. BUT, they are also crazy efficient. They have hired STELLAR employees that are whip smart and know their shizzzz. I LOVE THAT. You will not get any hmmmming and haaaaing...or whaaat? NO, they know what they know and they know it well. They will service you efficiently, effectively, and with a SMILE. I never knew such a place existed and we are so glad we found them. The staffs seems to be picky and judgemental toward other people. I called them before I went there to see if I need an appointment or do I just walk in. They told me I can go there anytime. I went there with my girlfriend. There was a waiting list and we put our names on it. I heard them lock the door around 1:50pm. My girlfriend end up calling them when it is her turn, they were helpful to her and gave her test results for her TB test. When it is my turn, I told them I want to do a TB test. She told me she is on a break and point to the piece the paper. Well, the paper says they take a break from 2 to 2:15 pm. It's after 2:15pm. Whatever, I figure she wants to take a longer break. Anyway, I wait 15 more minutes and I have to take my girlfriend to her eye doctor appointment. So I left and cross out my name. When I return, it was 10 minutes before they close. I put my name on the list. Than I waited on the side. They open the door and took the clipboard in and close the door and lock it. When I went to the door, I knock on the door, they just ignore me. I ask them if they can still see me or not? Should I wait or leave? They continue ignoring me. Wow! What a great staff and business they have. Nice to my girlfriend but mean to me. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was waiting for 3hr to get a live scan, physical, mask fitting and vision test. Called the office many times and got sent to voicemail! Waited at the end to just to be told my service could not be completed because of the physician left at 4! Keep in mind I called to confirm the services I was going to get they said walk-in. They should've given me the information from the start so that I should've made an appointment! To concluded this review I would just like to state that this place need better customer service and management for walk-in! WellnessMart - Horrible service! - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I came here to do an employment physical and TB blood test, so I already had an appointment and everything seemed like it was going well. I had actually been there before doing the same thing, so they had me on file, but instead of pulling it up, they make you reenter your info, even though I just confirmed that info with the lady at the front desk. The physical itself is rather silly, just reading a snell chart ( that E P D T OC) eye chart with both eyes, some agility balance maneuvers and then you're done. BUt then came time for a blood draw from my labs. I have great veins that are visible and you can touch to verify their placement ( they don't roll or move around) so its perfect for blood draws for labs. I only needed one vial of blood to be drawn.......... and both employees failed to do it. I made sure I was plenty hydrated because I thought I needed a urine sample, but in the end i didn't need it. So now I have to be sent out to quest diagnostics a third party tester so they can do the results and send it back to this lab. The staff were friendly enough but man now I gotta waste like 2 hours waiting at another office. read more

I came to this facility because of the terrible experience I had at the Pasadena location. Yesterday, I went to the Pasadena facility to get my pre-employment drug screen done. The nurse accepted me as a walk-in but provided a dis-service to me. She had me continuously waiting and chose to see only her appointments that kept walking in as time went by. After waiting there for an hour, I asked her how much longer will I have to wait to be seen and she said she don't know but she have to see all of her appointments first, even the ones who came in after me. I explained to her that means she doesn't truly accept walk-ins then. I said I could not continue to wait all the way until she see her very last appointment at 5:00pm, in addition to the 3 walk-ins before me. I explained to her that I had to leave. She said, "ok." She never explained to me Wellnessmart's rules. She never stated that she was going to proceed with my drug test order and charge the company and mark me as a refusal to a drug screen. I did not know they were going to perform my drive test without seeing me. This was very sinister and malicious on their end. I believe her behavior to be intentional and wrongful practices. She anticipated on marking my drug screen as a refusal to a drug test [without me knowing] instead of a canceling my walk-in visit due to their lack of services. The next day, I went to their Pica Blvd. facility. This time I've made an appointment to prevent the experience of waiting until their last appointment of the day. However, this facility said that I have to request my employer to either send them a new drug screen order or pay out of pocket in order for them to see me being they've already marked the original order as complete. I contacted their manager, Jessica [who wasn't available] and spoke with Dylan Gonsalves and she apologized and stated the nurse is new [at their Pasadena facility] and that she was supposed to explain to me their rules. Gonsalves stated that their staff are supposed to warn patients not to leave and that they will proceed with your drug test order without you. Dylan said that she will have a talk with her and that she will go ahead and have this facility see me and retrieve my urine sample, but they won't send out my lab work for testing until after they recieve payment from the company. When Tina called me back to take my urine sample today she wrote my name on the label but she didn't use it to seal the top of the plastic urine sample tube. Instead, she stuck it on the side of the tube and she placed it inside of the plastic biohazard bag, and she did not seal that either. I then asked her to please at least seal the plastic bag and that my urine sample is a highly sensitive content and should be handled as such and treated as such. She hesitated and lied and claimed that she already sealed my urine sample. I explained to her no she did not. And , I then asked that she bring it back so that I can witness her seal it up. I told her I only witnessed her walk away with it without sealing neither. I then explained to her that procedure is done for a reason and that everything is supposed to be securely sealed and done in my presence. She then left out and returned with the sample and she only sealed the plastic bag and not the tube. She then left back out to store it somewhere. Their practices in drug screen handling are very unprofessional. She next surprised me and said she had to give me an alcohol test in which I was completely unaware of. She said it's something the company likes to request as part of their drug screening. The company never informed me of a pre-employment alcohol test. I told her it's a good thing I didn't have myself a Saturday glass of wine. Usually an employer will issue a drug screen combined with an alcohol test immediately followed by a bad vehicle accident while on duty. A company should not need to know if I have alcohol in my system if I'm off duty. This entire organization needs to be investigated for it's intentional corrupt operation and malpractices. read more

Then today the guy working was so disgustingly rude and condescending, it's no wonder why people want to lash out!! He actually turned his back and walked away from me while arguing his point!! Who does the hiring here and WHY!! Why would you hire staff that make your company look horrible and unprofessional. I'm sorry but the people you hire are uneducated and honestly extremely low class!! They get their little MA degrees from theses one stop medical assistant schools that teach them nothing!! They don't even know how to take blood pressure right!! I went in had an extremely high death reading and an hour later my friend came in and had the exact problem! The bp cuff is not the right size!! I went to UC because they said it was so high and the Dr said I was the healthiest patient he had seen all day!! WTH!! They will deceive you when they say "no appointment necessary, walk up is fine". Be expected to wait for hours if you don't have an appointment. What they don't tell you is they purposely turn you into a standby in case someone doesn't show up for an appointment and in case they end early with an appointment to make more money. If everyone shows up for their appointment you are out of luck sitting in the blazing sun wasting your time. Make an appointment and also expect that the appointment is 5 days out. I've been to wellness Mart before but it was the one in Santa Monica. I've always had a great experience. I was very happy to hear that there was one much closer to me. When I arrived there was one person in front of me. Andew greeted me right away and let me know that he'd be with me shortly. It didn't take long at all and he was very engaging throughout the entire processes. Overall it was a quick and painless process and I received great customer service. I got my finger prints and TB test done. I'll definitely be back if I need future services. read more

Caution with TB testing if you're from overseas and have had a BCG vaccination! Brits, Europeans and other nationalities that may have received a BCG vaccination in their own country can very likely receive a FALSE POSITIVE TB result from the skin test they administer here. You will then need a $35 prescription to have a chest X-ray at another facility. This will also cost money if you have no insurance. If you have had a BCG vaccination in the past you need to get a TB blood test not a skin test. Wellness Mart could and should ask you this one simple question to prevent a stressful waste of time, effort and money. Unfortunately for whatever reason they don't ask you the question whether you've had a BCG in the past. One positive on the Pico location is the excellent attentiveness of Robin on the front desk. read more

Getting yellow fever shots is not something that happens often, and I had no idea what to expect from the process. After investing an afternoon calling about the availability of the vaccine, Wellness Mart was much cheaper than anyone else, and also more upfront about the process But the real difference that made this a surprisingly pleasant experience was Angel. She is a one-woman show at Wellness Mart and her customer service skills are incredible. We noticed that with every customer she had, she was pleasant, sincere, and seemed to really take a personal interest in their needs. Not only that, Angel was extremely knowledgeable about the products, laws, and the medications. From beginning to end, she was great. She was the only person in the clinic and made the initial appointment over the phone, checked us in upon arrival, went through the forms with us, and administered the shot. Throughout it all, she helped other clients and her multi-tasking skills are above and beyond. I felt kinda bad for her as there was no downtime and any business would be lucky to have her If there was a downside to the clinic, the area is a little sketchy (although there's Roscoes nearby!), and I can imagine that with one person running EVERYTHING, that it could be chaotic on busy days. I went to Wellness Mart to get a quick TB testing for my grad school program. Nick, the nurse, was super nice and helpful! The service was quick, I had no wait, and parking was easy in the lot. WellnessMart doesn't go through insurance (which would take too long for me) so you just pay upfront and prices are reasonable. The place looks a little sketch on the outside but the papers taped to the windows just serve as shades for the people inside. I like how the nurses from all the WellnessMart locations have a live video call just in case someone has a question. While I enjoyed how fast and convenient the service was, I was skeptical about how my official TB test report had a signature from a MD doctor and the nurse, but I only saw a nurse in person. I think WellnessMart services can be helpful if you need a quick test for a job/school/extra-curricular program but not for actual medical needs. read more

Angel is an Angel , she made my process so easy and comfortable. Her costumer service was the best. No problem finding my vein and no pain at all. I went a while ago for some blood works and tests for a governmental requirement, they were profesional and had plenty of knowledge about the process. The clinic is clean and the prices are very aceptable compare to other clinics around. They deliver a fast service also. I stumbled upon this place when I needed to get a TB questionnaire filled out for my employer. I am so glad I found them because they made an irritating task so quick and easy! Their office is clean and the nurse at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with my TB form filled out and signed by a doctor. They charged $38 dollars to sign the form, which is much more reasonable then going to my doctor through my insurance. Im so glad I found this place! read more
