I went in, can't breathe in the required mask, nor hear or be heard in the required mask, either. After a lot of interrogation, I was allowed to have the meds, however, was informed that I could not have the blood pressure checked, without an appointment. Then what was it that I had yesterday? I found the front line staff poorly trained, as it took a long time to find my information on the computer. I'm assuming there were no notations on my computer file, as she didn't know what I was talking about when I told her I was picking up the sample meds. Tick-tock, I can't breathe, so when time is a wasting, I'm getting more uncomfortable by the minute. From most of the interrogation questions, the communication was poor, so I lifted the dreaded mask to answer her question & pulled it down after speaking & got reprimanded by her co-worker to put my mask back on, at which point it already was. So unaccommodating, rude & inflexible. With the plexi-glass and the wearing of masks, its difficult to hear. They can't hear me, & I can't hear them. It was my doc who invited me to drop in for the blood pressure check. They have a guy that does it, so you don't bother the doctor for this. I'm not impressed with this place. My doctor previously had a good clinic with 2 front-line staff that knew everything that was going on, where everyone was courteous to the patients. Then she moved to this clinic. I've been with this doctor for about 10 years. Now this. The front-line staff would get a zero star rating; my doctor is a 5 but I am seriously wondering if I should continue to go there. Too many cooks spoil the soup & they have about 8-10 front-line people to spoil the soup. It is also farther to drive than before, through a construction zone which will be there a couple of years. Not happy today.

There was only one walk in person ahead of me. After a full 45 min passed. I asked if I had to wait for the same Dr that does walk ins to treat patients with appointments. I was told no. I was advised I would be in soon. I waited, again. Finally I was put in a room at 2:30. I asked approx how long I would be seen. The nurse said the Dr got tied up on a phone call but now, was in the room with the other walk in, and I was next right after her. I waited another hour, until 3:30 approx. I apologized for being cranky because I was hungry, thirsty & tired of waiting.. I explained I had been waiting over 2 hours. Her response was dismissive, she stated I had to wait for her to see 4 other rooms, before me. She said the desk does their best, and said something about my expectations being managed. I will never do a walk in at this clinic. The desk needs to be honest. No excuses, the waiting room was empty. I suspect the Dr had gone for lunch break. I could have taken a bus, gone to another walk in clinic faster and had lunch and water myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Not a nice way to treat a Senior citizen or anyone.

Completely incompetent. Our daughter showed up, hardly able to breath, with some sort of throat…read moreinfection or similar. She left with one pill of an antibiotic and a prescription for more. They made her wait 3 hours, said they didn't know what it was, and didn't even bother to take a swab. They said they didn't have the facilities to analyze a swab. Neither does a family doctor! They send it out to a lab! So they're essentially guessing it's a bacterial infection. The best part is, they told her to go to the hospital if it gets worse. An Uber driver would have been more thorough/interested in diagnosing the problem. Not impressed.

Took my child (12) here for an Xray & cast for a broken arm in Aug 2025. Wait times were reasonable…read moreand the Xray technician and Doctor were good. However the nurse who casted my son's arm squeezed the fresh cast @ the location of the break - i assumed to tighten it on his arm and help push the bone (which was bent out a bit) back into place. This put my child in alot of pain but I assume it was what needed to happen. We were then referred to the children's hospital for a checkup. Upon checkup Xray (3 weeks later) the bone is SEVERELY pushed out of place and now requires surgery and an additional 8 weeks healing time. He had no falls and no bumps on the arm within the first 3 weeks. I can only assume that whatever SQUEEZING the nurse did to his arm pushed the bone so severely out of place that it was injured 10x worse then it was originally. We will NEVER go to the urgent care clinic here for a broken bone again.

For five years, I worked for a bank in downtown Calgary. During that time, the hours were 9 - 4…read morep.m. At 4 p.m., the doors would close and any customers that were standing there at 4 p.m. were still served, which meant that a 4 p.m. close meant it was 4:30 when the bank was done serving clients. Not at South Calgary Medical Clinic. Today, I was feeling a bit under the weather, and it is after 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday. I get online and find out (thankfully) that the South Calgary Medical Clinic has walk-in until 5 p.m. I get in my vehicle and I head over. As I walk in the building at 4:15 p.m., I can see that the gate to the clinic is closed. There is a man outside the gate talking to one of the workers at the clinic through the gate. Its 45 minutes before their posted closing time, and there is no one in the waiting room and the doors are locked. The guy is obviously not feeling well, and is trying to negotiate with the worker to let him in, given their posted time is 5 p.m.. She was quite rude and adamant, letting him know that what he can't see, is how many patients are already in the rooms with doctors, despite the empty waiting room, so they have stopped taking patients and have closed the door. I didn't intervene - I just stood behind the man and watched the exchange go on between the two of them. Honestly, as a reasonable human being, I can see some logic in this approach if I really open my mind. However, as someone who has worked in some form of customer service for over 25 years, I was struggling with what I witnessed, especially given it is healthcare. Not to mentioned I was a little ticked off myself that I drove from Riverbend to Sundance for a service that closed its doors 45 minutes early. I guess a medical clinic does not have to worry about losing business for creating their own rules. However, if I wanted to ensure that I left work at 5 p.m. every day in a role such as that, I would post my hours to close at 3 or 4 p.m., to ensure that any customer that came during posted hours were serviced. Much like they did at the bank. That is what makes sense to me. So my quick tip, and my review is simply to state that if you want service from this clinic, use their posted hours as a guideline. I am not sure how long before 4:15 they closed their doors, but I am going to suggest at least an hour before the doors closed.
