And some require high minimum deposits and/or auto deposit of funds to maintain waved fees. On line banks and firms are attracting more and more people for their daily banking needs. According to the tellers they cannot cash a check from another bank unless you have the funds to cover it. So if your trying to cash your paycheck and your company banks with someone outside PNC you'll need to have the funds to cover your check in order to cash it. They will also put a 5 day hold on said check, add the weekend and you won't see your funds for a full week.

Especially like that they have safe deposit boxes which most other banks don't. i've never had anything but the best service from Wells Fargo. Even during the height of Covid, you could make an appointment to get in your safe deposit box or speak to a banker. they are easy to get a hold of, and if you notice any kind of mistake on an ACH withdrawal; investigate it and will give your money back. So don't believe the rumors that someone can withdraw money and you won't get it back from the bank they are top notch in my book. I chose this one location, but I don't think I've gone to any location where I didn't get outstanding friendly service.
