The store is similar to Amazon Go stores in the US, but a slightly worse version, you scan the QR code to get into the store, and from there you pick up the items you want, and you simply walk out with no need for checkouts, I had a receipt emailed to me shortly after my trip and my card was then charged, for all four of the items I purchased. Nothing more. Nothing less. They also have a cool area where you can pick up and return Amazon products, and they also sell alcohol and spirits, although if you are visiting on an event-day at Wembley, these products will not be sold. Also for event-goers, please remember that Wembley Stadium does not allow food or drink, so if you are purchasing stuff, get them AFTER the match and not before. The store was clean and modern, and the selection was pretty good, they had a large selection of Amazon's own brands including meals and milk. I did find prices to be a little more expensive, especially for essentials and branded items including butter and milk, strangely some products were more expensive in person than buying through Amazon Fresh online. I would have liked to see a cold drinks machine, similar to what they have in the US, in terms of drinks machines they did have two coffee machines, one of which only serves oat milk. I like how they use a separate machine for oat milk, as someone with an allergy to oats, it means I can use the left machine, in confidence, knowing that my coffee is not contaminated by oats. (I wish more and more places realised the dangers of offering oat milk without cleaning down before/after use!) 4* - Pretty cool store, I love the concept more than anything, this store is surely the best of its' kind in the Wembley Park area and was a much-needed addition. A full-size Tesco that probably runs more than 200,000 square feet and is pretty chock full of all the things you need to operate a household. Groceries, produce, meats, cheeses, sweets, soda, beer, spirits, cleaning supplies, you name it! The shop was pretty well organized and the prices were easy to find and I think are quite competitive. Plenty of tills ("registers" in American) and the cashier that helped me was quite pleasant and friendly. Very large parking area and I'm sure there's a petrol station out there somewhere.

The car park is huge. The home and clothes sections can be a bit untidy at times and large trolleys block the aisles. I suggest taking your time to look around to make sure you dont miss anything - it might not be there next week. with that in mind, you need to be certain about what you are buying as you wont be able to take it back. Another reason for taking your time is so you can enjoy sampling from the many food stalls around to keep your energy levels up.

Butlers can be compared to a more organic food retailer, which can also be presumed by its name "Fine Foods" - despite this name I was unimpressed with the selection of Free From goods, which are normally really good at similar retailers such as LV in Liverpool or Whole Foods, who have multiple branches in London. The store did feel cramped at some points, and this was on a late evening, this probably isn't the typical business to appeal to the average football supporter, but I'd still hate to imagine how busy Butlers would get on an event day where 90,000 fans go to Wembley Stadium, it barely coped with a dozen or so people in the store, perhaps more which wasn't a good start. A small selection of produce, some at a slightly pricey nature but once again with the location being in Wembley (in London) and the nature of the food, this is kind of expected. There are multiple other convenience style stores nearby such as the Co-op and Sainsbury's Local which I think are not only better suited to the location with a better selection, but they seem to be cheaper as well - I'm struggling here to talk about this store in a positive light, other than it being in Wembley, overlooking Wembley Stadium, the home of British football and one of the largest football stadiums in Europe but sadly Butlers is a high-end cramped mess so sadly deserves a one-star rating.

To all Americans, please reserve your judgement, I do realize this place is part of the Walmart family. In the midst of the recession and with forever tightening purse strings, this store is a mecca of bargain basement prices and superb selection. Where else can you the vast array of products in a one-stop shop. The Wembley store has clothing, a late night pharmacy, all the basic housewares, electronics and of course, food. While I still prefer to buy vegetables and fruit from street side markets, buying spuds and carrots in bulk is best done at Asda. I particularly love the dry goods section where a 3kg bag of pasta rings in at £3.49 and every type of rice or cous cous is at your fingertips. The bakery includes West Indian hard-dough bread, a big favourite in my house and the staff is unbelievably attentive. When the vest tops I was looking for were out of stock, a sales assistant offered to call me when they arrived in. Seriously, when is the last time you were offered a personal service anywhere other than Harrods. If you are within a 1 hour travelling distance from an Asda, I would suggest the once-a-month stop in. Restock your pantry with the basics and leave the fancy stuff to organic shops and your community butcher.
