The service here always disappoints. Everyone that takes the orders through the drive thru window is monotone, impersonal, and rude. Zero professionalism in the food service industry. It's a Wendy's so you kinda know what quality of food you're getting. My only real complaint is that they constantly get orders wrong. It's so common that it has to be intentional at this point. Order a burger with no onions and pickles? You'll get no sauce and extra onions and pickles. Ask them to take the cheese off the sausage, egg, and cheese muffin? I ordered 4 piece nugget and I only got 3 nuggets. The fries were extra stale and the food was not fresh AT ALL! I haven't had such awesome friendliness in a fast food restaurant in a long time. I ordered at the counter from a taller young man (receipt said Travis). He was super friendly and was very quick. I had the spicy chicken sandwich combo and it tasted good and as expected from a Wendy's. A manager on shift at 7 am on 6/4/23 was extremely rude taking our order to begin with but it gets worse there was a customer in front of us with a large boat. The clearance is only 9 feet and it was above that so speaking to me my husband said oh he's not even supposed to be in the drive-through and that's a stupid thing to do Not talking to anyone else but me . When I arrived, this is for takeout dining only during the current situation. I approached the counter and found that only one staff member was wearing gloves. I pointed this out to the tall man who appeared to be the manager who was not wearing gloves either I asked him why he was not wearing gloves and he said they don't fit him. I said what about the staff and he said they should be wearing gloves I said maybe you should tell them so he turned around and told them and they put on gloves I saw three employees put them on without washing their hands and arms first. They put them on in full view. Now comes the interesting and scary part. The lady that was now wearing gloves was serving french fries, there was a problem with the machine so she reached under the machine and started working on it with her gloves on. She took off one of the panels and talked to a coworker they had a discussion about what was wrong with it then went about her business without changing gloves. I should have left at that point I know. A young lady was very nice and she came over to take my order and I was told the cash register behind the shield was not working they had the credit card machine on my side of the shield so the option was to give her my credit card she would use it at the window. I guess she would approve the amount lol!!! I paid cash she went to the window and that is when I received my change as mentioned. My order was placed on her microphone since the register at the counter was not working. The gentleman without the gloves came back to me without gloves and handed me the cash and coins I put the money on the counter immediately and sanitized my hands. At that time looking at the situation gloves, face masks, no sanitation the gentleman who was in charge working the window did not have gloves "because he didn't have any that would fit!" I decided to leave even though I had paid for my hamburger and I received my change I walked leaving the change on the counter. $10 hamburger includes the change all in all. Small price to pay escaping this battle field. Oh ,Yes, they put my soda on the counter but the person that placed it there did not have gloves on either. I walk out. Once again I am sharing this for those of you that are using this location and driving through through not knowing what is going on behind the counter and in the kitchen when you use the drive through. Went in the morning on the way to work (a little after 8), did mobile app ordering. Service was polite & quick, but I was given the wrong sandwich. I ordered the sausage egg & Swiss croissant and got a sausage egg & cheese biscuit. Don't get me wrong - it was a good sandwich, and I do like that kind of sandwich, but it's not what I ordered and what I got is actually much cheaper than what I paid for. Only giving 3 stars because the food was good & the service was good. I'm not sure why these other reviews talk about the customer service as being bad, but that wasn't my experience. Maybe just don't go the last 30 minutes they're open? That usually results in rude behavior no matter where you go in my experience. These workers just simply don't get paid enough to work later than the posted hours. EDIT: updated from 3 to 5 stars. Received a notification from Wendy's that you could order a junior bacon cheeseburger for one cent if you ordered something else. so I ordered it on the mobile app I ordered two junior bacon cheeseburgers, two small french fries and two drinks for my daughter and her friend. Picked up the order drove home and my daughter said Papa, there's only one cheeseburger in the bag. I called the store and the person who said they were the manager advised me that I could drive back to the store and get the junior bacon cheeseburger but I didn't feel like driving back there. It was the automatic machine there since I've never seen a Wendy's with one which was a nice change for people like me who don't like going up to a counter and ordering thing. I would give a zero if I could. I live in the neighborhood a block away and come here at least once a week to get ice and typically order a meal at the same time. I am not sure why I keep giving them opportunity after opportunity. Tonight I decided to call and speak with the manager about the visits. I think she said her name was Elsa or Elsie something like that. I was driving so I couldn't write the name down. That did no good. I'll get to this part later. My experience.....I ordered my meal and ice. The person taking my order was very unfriendly... not sure why I was surprised since this is the way it always is. I pulled up to the window and greeted them, as their typical all they said was the price of what I ordered. No hello, no greeting whatsoever. He was happy to take my money and asked if I wanted a receipt, to which I replied yes please and thank you. Still nothing. I guess killing with kindness doesn't work with everyone. He hands me my bag and walks off like it's done and clears the order as done. Take note that it was just the bag of cold fries and sandwich. No drink and no ice. This is a weekly occurrence mind you. They always hand me my bag, never my drink and never the ice. A lady comes, as typical around the corner with a bag of ice and hands it to him, I guess he assumed it was mine because I was still sitting there staring at them while they were looking at me periodically to find out why I was still sitting there. No one asked me why I was still sitting there. They just kept staring at me like I was strange. He hands me the ice and walks away again. I stay patiently waiting for my drink while the orders behind me getting cold for no reason other than the lack of organization by the employees. I continue to sit there while they all three periodically just look at me, but never asked me if I was waiting on something. Finally, I just said do you have the drink? They looked at me, all three of them, and the dude who handed me my other things asked me what drink? I replied with, the drink I ordered with my meal??? So I showed him the receipt, and he again just turns makes the drink and hands it to me.....no words, just nothing. Now I know that some of you may be saying, well it's fast food what are you expecting?? Here's what I expect, I expect to get great customer service when I Pay for a service from a business. I don't care what kind of business it is, it's a job and it's their job to provide great customer service to their customers. No matter what you get paid, you are getting paid to do a job. I am the customer. I worked in fast food all through high school, never once was I rude to a customer. Ever! When I called and spoke with the manager and before I could say much she cut me off and the first thing out of her mouth was.... he didn't take your order so he didn't know what your drink was....ahhhh she knew who I was....why?? Because she was one of the three being silent and robotic. I asked her if she was there, she said yes. I said OK I can see this won't go anywhere, so how about you get me to an owner and she said she left already. I asked her to tell me the name of the owner and I'll call back. Her name is Melissa. I visited this location for lunch. I placed an online order for a salad. While there I noticed I had a reward for a free frosty. I attempted to use the coupon in store but could not figure out how to claim. So I placed an additional order online. I waited for the manager, who was taking orders to come back to to the counter. I informed him that I had placed the order online. He looked and told me the total. I I told him that it placed online and was waiting. He told me that I didn't and showed me the receipt from the first order. I showed him my phone and informed him that I had placed a second order. I just went here and the drive thru menu was completely dark so I drove to the window to order. I was the ONLY car in drive thru. I told the attendant the menu looks like it's broke. I was told to drive around the building back to drive thru to place order that even though it looks broke it was not. I asked him to go ahead and take my order because I was going to tell him the same thing I'd tell him at the dark menu. He refused and when I asked for the logic of the unnecessary dash around the building he said it was so other customers wouldn't have to wait. I explained I was the ONLY car in drive thru. He said I was wasting his time. I asked him for his name and he said he didn't have to give it. I asked to speak to the manager and he said "he was". I asked again for his name and again he refused. Wendy's this is some excellent customer service! Have your customers drive in circles around the building to view a completely unreadable dark menu. Instead argue with them at the window, provide no sensible logic, and mouth off about how they are wasting your time. This Wendy's is right across the street from NASA, so the lunch time crowds are pretty epic. That being said, somehow, they always have someone NEW on the register. Worst drive thru service I have ever experienced in my life at a Wendy's. I visited this location 3 times this month. All 3 times it was not busy, so no excuse there.
