AVOID THIS WENDYS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Just trust me please avoid it. Mold in every machine that no one cares about or cleans. That lemonade you got? Just don't. Also don't give this place money because the GM of the store loves to go around talking bad about previous employees. Multiple times I've overhead her telling other peoples private business that should be kept between a manager and the employee. They don't Temp food ever, they don't clean correctly or as frequently as they should, and every single employee in there looks and sounds miserable. There was a huge delay as the one person in front of me in line with his card. It seemed like an act. There was also a "look out" at the door, in hindsight who basically subtly threatened me not to enter the store. Anyway, I was done waiting for him to fumble with his card so I pulled around to drivethrough where service was again delayed. I think this was on purpose and they were again subtly waiting for me to go away. I paid an exorbitant amount as I saw most the workers not even working. The food was terrible. My conclusion? This Wendy's is a front for some kind of illegal activity. Possibly drugs, possibly other things, I don't know. But very shady behavior from the staff and a couple people hanging around there, who did not seem to even be there to order food at all. Very strange. read more

Rude, childish and immature young employees, I'd give this place a 0 if I could, went to drive thru and the employees were joking around making noises doing cartoon voices at the window unprovoked instead of taking my order, like what was the reason? It's disrespectful and you're wasting my time and the people in line after me. Called the store back once I got home to speak to a "manager" and she sat on the phone and argued with me for a good 15 minutes instead of saying I am so sorry you had that experience. I've been to this Wendy's location a number of times and I have the photos to prove it, so I think it's time to write a review. My usual preference is to order using the Wendy's mobile app and then pick up at the counter. I think they've done reasonably well at filling the orders correctly. There were only two times so far when I had to point out an error or omission but they fixed it quickly both times. I love the way, during some of my visits, the restaurant manager was visibly out there making sure everything was shipshape. Alas the mobile app didn't work for in-app payments on a couple of visits so I had to fall back to the stone-age way of ordering, i.e. by saying what I wanted. But it was only a minor setback and the app started working again later that month. Parking seemed adequate, seeing as how most of Wendy's customers use the drive-thru instead of dining in. However, there is a serious lack of shade trees so the car is boiling in the summer months. read more

I will never ever purchase from this Wendy's... ever. Store #00011675, Middletown, DE. This is how it started: 1 item was missing, a children's cheeseburger. I had to drive back to the store to get it for my child. It took me 3 people til I could talk to the manager. She arrived to me angry. She never apologized. I asked her to provide the item that was missing and a new sandwich for me as mine was cold while I drove back to the store, since the point of going to a drive through is to eat it while you are driving. However I did leave that in the car as I rushed in. She did not want to replace my items as I did not have a receipt. The only receipt I had was food.She never apologized. She spoke loudly and in a disrespectful tone as she said I was speaking that way to her. I did speak to her that way after her refusals and shouting and I did not respect her tone or attitude or demeanor. Respect is earned, not a given. There were other customers in the store who started shouting at her because of the way she was treating me! I didn't know them! One man shouted to her angrily that he couldn't believe how she was treating me. Others joined in. And he walked out. I asked for her name, as she had identified herself as manager. She refused to tell me her name. (She was a middle-aged woman with dark hair and a thick accent. I have seen her there before.) I went out to my car to get the cold sandwich. Sheesh it would have been nice if she had not made me go through hoops. I brought it back in as she said to do, but then she refused to remake it. The other customers shouted at her again! She would still not give me her name. I eventually got my sandwiches from someone else who handed them to her. She basically threw them at me. As I was leaving, another couple actually came up to me and gave me their receipt with the store number on it, and showed me the code to use on the back to write a complaint. They had arrived on their receipt at 12:45 but I ordered around 1:15 on November 30, 2023. This nice couple told me they had had problems with her before. I ate my sandwich and then started pecking out my long review as you see here. The review asks for you to be as detailed as possible. So I was. When I completed it, it would not let me continue as I had had too many characters. It never mentioned a number of characters that would be allowable nor did it count the characters so I could edit without counting each letter and space. So I went home to call corporate. I did manage to get through to a customer service supervisor, who took notes and said I would receive a phone call back. That is nice. My advice is to avoid this Wendy's store on Middletown-Warwick Rd. in Middletown, DE. There is a ChikFilet about 8 stores away on the same road. I would recommend ChikFilet if you are in Middletown. I think this manager should be schooled on how to treat people. Respect is earned, not a given, especially when she was in the wrong. We recently went through the drive thru at this location. They did a great job despite it being during the whole Covid situation which I'm sure has made their job more difficult and annoying than usual. Everything we ordered (chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries and drinks) was hot, fresh and just as we ordered. Service was also quick and friendly. The staff did a great job overall. read more

HORRIBLE staff. I do not give complicated orders and always treat the workers kindly and with a smile. However I continue experiencing HORRIBLE customer service. I ordered my drink with no ice, since ice machines are notoriously dirty and hold bacteria that is transferred to your drink as the ice melts. I asked for no ice at the beginning of my order to ensure no confusion. I pick up my order and get a cup full of ice. I ask for a replacement and my host, Taree, rolls her eyes and continues to pour the drink that they had already contaminated with dirty ice into a new cup and hands me this with such an attitude!!!!!! I was so put off from her unwillingness to correct her error, that I didn't even feel I could ask for napkins to wipe off the new cup that was now soaked.
