The washers use tokens, which you buy for €5.00 from the vending machines. The dryers use €1.00 coins. There are directions in English and Dutch up on the wall behind the washers. There is an Albert Heijn store on Frederiksplein 1 a few blocks away if the dispenser for soap is broken. The second is to let the owners do it. They come in and out of the shop on a regular basis to check on the progress of the loads, so wait until one of them shows up, tell them what you would like to have done, and give them money. They use the same machines that their customers use, sort by color, and provide soap, fabric softener, etc. They will also use your soap or fabric softener if you require scent-free stuff, etc.

The gentleman who owned this shop was really helpful and offered a couple of suggestions of what he could do, but we left it in his hands as he was the expert and he said to come back in 1 hour and it would be done. We returned an hour later and the shoes were fixed and super comfortable to wear once again. And the price charged to fix them was extremely affordable too. I watched on multiple occasions when people left other people taking their wet items out of dryers and putting them on other machines and taking over the dryers This lovely lady took a dryer from me with her jackass friend after I told them I was waiting for it. The man bullied me out-of-the-way and took the dryer. Then she proceeded to mock me and remind me that she was some type of influencer. The dryers don't work well this is a shit location. Just watch somebody go through someone else's clothes that had been taken out of a dryer, wet and take things home with them.

One was recommended by our Hotel. Found this one open until 10pm which was helpful. I only wish they'd had detergent onsite because there's machines in there to supply it. I had to walk (just 6 minutes to Albert Heijne) and back and it's cold out. We're visiting from out of the Country and didn't want to use our relatives tiny washer and dryer. Both the washer #5 and dryer #7 worked fine. Dryer was very hot! Took some clothes out of it early. It's s laundromat not Disneyland.

This parking is a service of the Municipality of Amsterdam and if this makes you think that the execution is done poorly, you might think twice. This bike parking offers free parking for the first day, after that about €1,25 per day. Wait, there is more! Beforehand I have to say that, to fully understand the experience of parking your bike here, you should try it yourself. When entering in the morning (sleepy eyes like many of the happy commuters) you will be warmly welcomed by one of the chaps attending you. He attaches a ticket to your bike and hands you a copy amazingly quickly, as there is almost never a line. Not even in rush hour! But the funniest thing is the special treatment. I am not saying you have to take it personal when they will call you "beauty", "looking good today" or even break out singing a serenade! I even got flowers once!! And I saw one of the commuters give one of them a Christmas present. This definitely makes biking a fun thing and gives me a boost in the morning! That's how we do bike parking in Amsterdam Amstel!
