Although I visited Werribee Park expressly for the sake of a music festival I would gladly return just to have another look at the grounds themselves. An incredible park set over 10 hectares and filled with the most beautiful big old trees, formal gardens and open spaces, for pantheists, nature lovers or those with green fingers, Werribee Park is a real treat. Boasting not only some pretty incredible planting but attractions such as the Victoria State Rose Garden which is planted with 5,000 roses; The Werribee Park Sculpture Walk featuring large scale works by some of Australia's most lauded sculptors; and of course the Werribee Mansion, a 60 room Victorian estate which now also houses a cafe, Werribee Park, only 30 minutes from Melbourne is a must-visit. read more
